The Windows binaries no longer need the Visual C++ runtime: hoppy.exe links the C runtime statically, so the zip, Scoop and winget installs start on a clean Windows. A bare hoppy now prints the help and exits 0. This release also widens hoppy search to container apps and databases and fixes hoppy statistics and pull-zone list for Magic Containers.
Breaking
- bunny-net-api library: AccountStatistics.average_origin_response_time is now f64 and AccountStatistics.origin_response_time_chart is now Option<BTreeMap<String, f64>>, because the API sends fractional values. The count and byte charts stay i64. The CLI is not affected. (#113)
Added
- hoppy search also finds container apps and databases. It matches their names (case-insensitive substring) and adds the pull zones of matched apps. In JSON they are an ExtraResults array next to the unchanged /search envelope. --server-only sends only the plain /search request. (#113)
Fixed
- Windows: no Visual C++ runtime needed. hoppy.exe no longer imports VCRUNTIME140.dll or the api-ms-win-crt-* DLLs. Without the Visual C++ Redistributable, 0.8.0 could not start at all (exit code 0xC0000135, DLL not found). (#114)
- hoppy without arguments prints the short help and exits 0, the same as hoppy -h. It used to exit 2 with a usage error. Invalid arguments and unknown commands still exit 2. (#114)
- hoppy statistics no longer fails on a fractional average origin response time or fractional origin response time chart values. Cache Hit Rate is already a percentage and is no longer multiplied by 100. (#113)
- pull-zone list and count also find Magic Containers pull zones that no container endpoint names. The lookups run one at a time and retry on HTTP 429. If the rate limit persists, hoppy warns once that the list may be incomplete. (#113)
Internal
The release pipeline moves to ractive/release-workflows v0.3.2. Its winget job runs komac 2.16.0, so the winget manifest keeps PortableCommandAlias. A Windows release build now fails if the binary imports the dynamic C runtime. (#114, #115)
