Release notes

4.8.0 — Git, from the tree
If your vault is a git repository, the sidebar now drives it. No terminal.
- Refresh also fetches — the ⟳ button on All files re-reads the disk and asks the remote what changed, without touching a single file.
- Pull and push in one click — ↓ and ↑ appear only when there is something to do. ↑ stays greyed out until you have pulled, so a merge never happens behind your back.
- See what moved — each note is marked: new (A), modified here (M), deleted (D), modified on the remote (I), or both (B). A folder shows the most urgent marker below it, even collapsed.
- Conflicts never lose your work — the remote wins, but your local version is moved to the Trash first, restorable, and named in a toast.
- External folders too — a mounted folder that is its own repository gets its own buttons, branch and remote. Commits stay scoped: two repositories can sit side by side in the same window.
- Local state stays local — the trash, settings.json and metadata.json are ignored automatically, and untracked if your vault already committed them.
Znote uses the git already installed on your machine, with your existing SSH key or credential helper. It never fetches, pulls, pushes or switches branches on its own.
