Release notes

[1.60.2] - 2026-08-10
Disk Analyzer now tells you that its total leaves some Windows folders out, so the number no
longer looks wrong when you compare it against the free space Windows shows.
Fixed
- Disk Analyzer's total was quietly incomplete. To stay fast, it skips four Windows areas it either cannot read or would take a long time to walk — the Recycle Bin, System Volume Information (where restore points live), and the WinSxS and CSC folders inside Windows. It also never follows shortcut-links between folders, because that would either count the same files twice or wander outside the folder you asked about. All of that is deliberate and stays. What was missing is that nothing told you: you would add up what the tab reported, compare it against the free space Windows shows, find a gap of several gigabytes — WinSxS alone is often that big on its own — and reasonably conclude the app was wrong. The tab now says so in one line under the summary, and hovering it names the exact folders.
Verify the download
Get-FileHash .\SysManager-v1.60.2.exe -Algorithm SHA256
Expected SHA256: 52FD9B175D0E446F3F4F032BEE62FB48C1302E15788D9DBB67967E266D9938C3
This build is not code-signed, so Windows will warn on first launch. That is
expected for a small independent app: see what the warning says and what to
click.
Verify where this binary came from
This exe was built by GitHub Actions from this public source, and the build is
recorded in the Sigstore public transparency log. With the
GitHub CLI:
gh attestation verify .\SysManager-v1.60.2.exe --repo laurentiu021/SystemManager
That proves which commit and workflow produced this exact binary, something the
SHA256 file cannot show, since it is published alongside the exe it describes.
Each release also ships SysManager-v1.60.2.sbom.json, a CycloneDX inventory of
every dependency resolved for this build.
