Release notes

[1.114.50] - 2026-09-29
Closing SysManager mid-change can now name it on five more tabs. Tweaks Hub, Privacy & Telemetry,
Defender Tweaks, Edge/OneDrive Remover and Services took no operation lock, so the question SysManager
asks before closing while something is still running could not see them.
Fixed
- Tweaks Hub, Privacy & Telemetry, Defender Tweaks, Edge/OneDrive Remover and Services took no
operation lock. Closing SysManager, or choosing Exit from the tray, while one of them was mid-change
said nothing about it — the warning SysManager shows before an exit that would cut something off reads
from the same lock every other tab already registers with, and an operation that takes none is invisible
to it. Each of the five now takes the same lock the tabs that change other Windows settings already do
(Performance Mode, Gaming Profile, Environment Variables, Preinstalled Apps), and refuses to start a
second change with "Cannot start — X is already running." while another of the five, or one of those
four, is mid-change.
- Overlap between any two of these five is not itself dangerous — none of them restarts Windows or reads
files another is writing, the way an SFC repair racing a Windows feature change is. The lock exists
mainly so closing can name what it would cut off; that it also serialises the five is a side effect of
sharing the one category, not the reason for it.
- Tweaks Hub and Defender Tweaks and Edge/OneDrive Remover already route every one of their changes
through a single shared method, so the lock is taken once, there, for all of them. Services takes it
in each of Start, Stop, Disable and Enable individually, the way it already has its own confirmation
in each.
- Present since v1.51.0 (Tweaks Hub), v1.5.0 (Privacy & Telemetry), v1.39.0 (Defender Tweaks), v1.53.0
(Edge/OneDrive Remover) and v0.13.0 (Services).
Verify the download
Get-FileHash .\SysManager-v1.114.50.exe -Algorithm SHA256
Expected SHA256: DBFAFF36534F37FBB6E18D9E120E34587E4B4068731CA2E688B8963BCA7716F1
This build is not code-signed, so Windows will warn on first launch. That is
expected for a small independent app: see what the warning says and what to
click.
Code signing is planned through the SignPath Foundation,
which provides free certificates to open-source projects, with signing performed by
SignPath.io. Until then, the SHA256 above and the build
attestation below are what establish that a download is the genuine build.
Code signing policy
This release is not code-signed. The team roles, release-approval process and
privacy policy required by the SignPath Foundation programme
are documented in advance under Code signing
policy. That
documentation is a prerequisite for applying, not evidence of a certificate. The
attribution line naming SignPath as the signing provider will appear here once a
certificate is actually issued.
This program will not transfer any information to other networked systems unless
specifically requested by the user or the person installing or operating it. Full
privacy policy.
Verify where this binary came from
This exe was built by GitHub Actions from this public source, and the build is
recorded in the Sigstore public transparency log. With the
GitHub CLI:
gh attestation verify .\SysManager-v1.114.50.exe --repo laurentiu021/SystemManager
That proves which commit and workflow produced this exact binary, something the
SHA256 file cannot show, since it is published alongside the exe it describes.
Each release also ships SysManager-v1.114.50.sbom.json, a CycloneDX inventory of
every dependency resolved for this build.
