Release notes

[1.114.45] - 2026-09-29
System Fixes now asks before SFC and DISM start, as the tab always said it did. The Windows Update reset
also says what it stops and what it leaves behind.
Fixed
- System Fixes: SFC and DISM ask for confirmation before they start. The tab promises that "each fix
explains what it does and asks for confirmation before it runs", but these two started at the first click.
Both change system files and take 5 to 30 minutes.
- SFC says it replaces damaged system files, how long it takes, and that some repairs finish only after a
restart. DISM says it downloads replacements from Windows Update, so it needs an internet connection.
- System Fixes: Reset Windows Update names what it stops and what it keeps. Its prompt said it "clears"
the update caches. It renames them and keeps the old folders, a new pair on every reset, which can take
several GB, and it also stops Windows Installer, which interrupts an installation running in another
program. The prompt now says all three, and the README no longer says the caches are cleared.
Present since v1.107.0 for SFC and DISM, when they moved to this tab, and since the tab was added in v1.26.0
for the Windows Update reset.
Verify the download
Get-FileHash .\SysManager-v1.114.45.exe -Algorithm SHA256
Expected SHA256: D0BA06141892B1AB9324E4BA3625DE0D1CE93D9532776ADC3062FBF5B351333B
This build is not code-signed, so Windows will warn on first launch. That is
expected for a small independent app: see what the warning says and what to
click.
Code signing is planned through the SignPath Foundation,
which provides free certificates to open-source projects, with signing performed by
SignPath.io. Until then, the SHA256 above and the build
attestation below are what establish that a download is the genuine build.
Code signing policy
This release is not code-signed. The team roles, release-approval process and
privacy policy required by the SignPath Foundation programme
are documented in advance under Code signing
policy. That
documentation is a prerequisite for applying, not evidence of a certificate. The
attribution line naming SignPath as the signing provider will appear here once a
certificate is actually issued.
This program will not transfer any information to other networked systems unless
specifically requested by the user or the person installing or operating it. Full
privacy policy.
Verify where this binary came from
This exe was built by GitHub Actions from this public source, and the build is
recorded in the Sigstore public transparency log. With the
GitHub CLI:
gh attestation verify .\SysManager-v1.114.45.exe --repo laurentiu021/SystemManager
That proves which commit and workflow produced this exact binary, something the
SHA256 file cannot show, since it is published alongside the exe it describes.
Each release also ships SysManager-v1.114.45.sbom.json, a CycloneDX inventory of
every dependency resolved for this build.
