NoiseCrypt encrypts a file into a .ncry container and can turn that container into an
ordinary video file, so it survives being uploaded to a platform that re-encodes
everything it is given. Download the video later and the original file comes back.
Encryption is hybrid post-quantum: X25519 combined with ML-KEM-768, both secrets folded
into a single key-derivation transcript, so the result holds as long as either one does.
Content is sealed in chunks rather than under one authentication tag, and the video layer
carries two levels of error correction with a checksum per frame, because a re-encoded
video is a channel that damages data in two unrelated ways.
This is encryption, not steganography. It offers no deniability: a NoiseCrypt video looks
exactly like what it is.
Right-click any file to encrypt it or decrypt it, or use the graphical interface, which
opens in your browser and is served by the program itself on this machine only. The
installer is per-user by default and needs no administrator rights. FFmpeg is required
only for the video commands; all the encryption works with nothing else installed.
NoiseCrypt has no account, no server and no telemetry.
