Fixes
- The focus border no longer appears while an explicit workspace switch is still sliding. The border hides when the switch starts and appears on the focused window once the slide finishes.
- A recycled window handle no longer inherits a closed window's place in the layout.
Delayed close events for a reused handle retire the old window's membership and cached state, including a stashed scratchpad; a replacement already admitted keeps its own. A delayed hide from an older lifetime does not remove a replacement that Windows reported opening on that handle, including when the replacement is not visible. Temporarily ignored windows are unchanged. A window reusing a closed window's handle is no longer mistaken for that window's quick-closing popup, and does not pull focus onto another window or keep the closed window's column width. When the hidden window is already gone, the hide keeps the lifetime it recorded, so a new popup on the reused handle is tiled instead of suppressed and does not keep the hidden column width. A foreground replacement on the selected workspace is focused again after admission, without moving focus to another window. One parked on another workspace does not keep focus or the border. Emptying the workspace for a replaced lifetime does not bind or swallow a later focus on another workspace.
- Closing the last window keeps the empty workspace when the replacement HWND is not yet sampled.
If Destroyed or Hidden empties the selected workspace while the departing window is still the foreground, the first no-later managed activation on another workspace of that monitor is bound as the close-time replacement and does not switch workspaces. A later tick, a different window after that bind, an explicit workspace switch, and eventless pruning are unchanged.
- A deliberate activation after an app silently disappears is no longer swallowed.
When focus handling discovers that the last window on the selected workspace vanished without an event, the activation is treated as automatic only if that vanished window was the tracked focus; activations strictly newer than the triggering event still follow. Close-to-tray autoactivation keeps the empty workspace. A tracked window that vanishes without any event is detected within about half a second, so a later activation is not mistaken for an automatic one.
