Download GitStudio 2.0.0 for Windows

Free, open-source Git and GitHub client with a commit graph, hunk and line staging, a three-way merge editor, visual rebase and pull requests.

GitStudio is a free, open-source Git client for people who work in Git all day. Stage by hunk or by line, read history in a real commit graph, resolve conflicts in a three-way merge editor, reshape history with a visual interactive rebase, and manage branches, stashes, worktrees, tags and pull requests without leaving the app.

The desktop app is built on the same core as the GitStudio extension for VS Code and Cursor, and adds a GitHub home for your repository (pull requests with inline review, issues, Actions runs with logs, releases, notifications, gists, organizations and projects), an integrated terminal that opens in your repo, and auto-update from GitHub Releases. Optional AI assistance is off until you connect a provider, and it never gates or blocks a Git operation.
