Release notes
Added
- Desktop app for Linux: one AppImage that runs on every distribution and updates itself, and a deb for Debian and Ubuntu (x64). See Install. (#410, #412)
- Side questions with /btw: in a Bot's own chat, type /btw <question> to ask while it works. The Bot answers from the conversation so far, without stopping its task or running any tool, and the answer stays out of its history. The question and the answer stay as a card in the chat, which you can cancel while it is being answered. (#407, #413)
- Message layout in Settings → General → Appearance: a Bubble width slider (50–100%), and a flat layout that shows a Bot's words without a bubble, under its avatar, name and time, with a Text width of its own. (#380, #446, #447, #448)
- The desktop app has the Bot browser too. Each Bot's sign-ins stay after you quit. (#449, #451)
- In the desktop app you can import cookies into a Bot's browser from a file or from an installed Chrome, Edge or Firefox profile. (#458, #461)
- Bot mode's account menu has a Sign out item for the DeepSeek account. (#398, #425)
- A saved key's purpose can be edited or cleared in Settings → Secrets. (#387, #435)
- Bots can draw charts, small calculators whose numbers update as you drag, and custom sandboxed views in their replies. (#468, #471)
Changed
- Chat bubbles widen with the window instead of stopping at a fixed width. (#380, #447)
- A Bot's thinking is hidden by default; turn on Show thinking in Settings → General → Appearance to see it above the reply. Bot chats no longer show lines such as "Tools updated". (#465, #466)
- Only one right panel opens at a time, and the Bot drawer has a New terminal button in place of the header's right-sidebar toggle. (#456, #470)
- In the desktop app, a file you download from the window, such as a chart image, asks where to save it. (#476, #477)
- Groups no longer drop a Bot's or your @ calls. Bot-to-Bot relays pause at the group's limit and go on when you press Continue or write. (#395, #433)
- On phone-width screens the details panel covers the chat instead of crushing it, and settings fill the screen. (#438)
- On touch screens a tap on a message opens its tools. (#439)
- On phones, menus stay above the on-screen keyboard, controls stay clear of the home indicator, and focusing a field no longer zooms the page. (#315, #440)
Fixed
- The Windows app saves its settings when it is started through a short path. (#378, #426)
- The team no longer stays read-only after a crash when Windows reuses the old process id. (#428, #431)
- An unreadable memory or secrets file is no longer overwritten by the next change. (#409, #430)
- When a window can only view the team, a Bot's key request shows why no card appears. (#429, #432)
- The activity row under a Bot's chat and the sidebar preview show what a Bot is doing again on DSH 0.2.1. (#349, #434)
- The desktop app keeps web search working after web-search-auto is turned off, from its next start. (#128, #436)
- An earlier part of a Bot's chat shows the view cards the Bot displayed there again. (#415, #418)
- A question card and a view card open together no longer both answer the same letter key. (#404, #405)
- The activity row no longer disappears and comes back while a Bot works through several steps. (#465, #466)
- The highlight under the Bot's tab in the side panel covers the whole tab again after you come back from a browser tab. (#472, #474)
Known limitations
- The desktop app is not signed: at the first start Windows SmartScreen warns, and macOS asks you to allow it in Privacy & Security, which needs an administrator password.
- Cookie import in the desktop app can read no cookies. (#490)
- A /btw card cannot be closed. (#489)
