## What's changed
### Added
- **Email files preview.** Press Space on an exported email, an `.eml` from almost any mail
program or an Outlook `.msg`, and it opens like a message: subject, from, to, date, the
list of attachment names, and the text of the mail. Attachments are listed, never opened,
and nothing in the message is fetched from the internet. Web addresses in a message show
exactly as written, so a link can't pretend to be something it isn't.
- **3D-print model thumbnails and preview (STL, OBJ, PLY).** These files carry no picture
inside them, so SageThumbs draws one: the model, shaded, from a consistent three-quarter
angle, with a transparent background in Explorer like any other thumbnail. A folder of
models becomes scannable at a glance instead of a wall of identical icons. Works in the
Space-bar preview too, at full window size.
- **Click a window to capture it.** In the screenshot tool, hovering now highlights the
window under the cursor; a single click captures exactly that window, cleanly at its
visible edges. Dragging a region works exactly as before. Works in the one-key OCR mode
too: click a dialog to read the text out of it.
- **A capture delay.** Settings Γû╕ Screenshots gains "Delay before capture" (off, 1, 2, 3 or
5 seconds): press the hotkey, and a small countdown ticks beside the cursor before the
screen freezes: long enough to open the menu or summon the tooltip you actually wanted
in the picture. Esc during the countdown cancels.
- **The colour picker learned formats and memory.** Tab switches what a pick copies:
#RRGGBB, rgb(), hsl() or hsv(), shown live on the loupe, and the choice is remembered.
Your last ten picks appear as a swatch row; pressing 1ΓÇô9 copies one of them again, so
yesterday's brand colour is a keypress, not a hunt for a pixel that still shows it.
- **Screenshot OCR keeps table columns.** When the text in a capture lines up as a table,
a price list, a bank statement, an Explorer details view, the copied text now uses tabs
between the columns, so pasting into Excel puts every cell where it belongs. Ordinary
text is completely unaffected; the detection only trusts a column it sees on three or
more lines.
- **A light/dark button on the Quick preview window itself.** The Theme setting decides what
every preview opens as; this switches the one you are looking at, without changing that
setting or any other window. A dark photograph often reads better on a dark background even
when you keep the rest of the app light, and the reverse is true of a scanned page. The button
shows the background it will give you: a sun while you are dark, a moon while you are light.
The choice lasts until you close the window, so the next preview opens the way you
configured it. Requested by a user, who is the reason it exists.
- **A settings button on the Quick preview window.** The gear opens Settings directly on its
Quick preview page, instead of leaving you to find the window and then the right page in it.
If Settings is already open on another page, it comes to the front on the right one.
### Fixed
- **The Quick preview toolbar's tooltips could describe the button next door.** On any picture,
the tooltips sat one button to the right of where they belonged: hovering "Copy file path"
said "Keep on top", and the pin at the far left had no tooltip at all. The toolbar gains its
text-recognition button only once the picture has finished loading, and the tooltips were
positioned before that happened and never moved afterwards. They are now placed from the same
layout the toolbar is drawn from, so they cannot describe a different button than the one
under the pointer.
- **The Quick preview toolbar icons were noticeably different sizes.** They came from a set that
draws each icon to its own proportions, so a circle filled its space while a cross sat well
inside its own, a 50% difference across one row. The bundled icons are now sized to match
each other. The text-recognition icon was the worst of them, drawn half again as large as
everything beside it because it was sized from the button rather than from the other icons;
it now matches them at every display scale, in the screenshot editor too.
- **The toolbar icons looked soft, with faint orange and blue edges.** They were being drawn
the way Windows draws text, which sharpens letters by using the red, green and blue stripes
inside each pixel. That trick does nothing for a picture of a gear and leaves colour on its
edges instead: three quarters of the pixels in every icon carried a colour tint. They are
drawn as plain shapes now, which removes the tint completely and roughly doubles how many
pixels land solid. Same change in the screenshot editor's toolbar. Text is unaffected.https://github.com/LunarWerxs/SageThumbs-2k/releases/tag/v2.4.0
