PC Tweaker 1.18.2 keeps Pro working when this PC's clock runs behind, explains account errors in your language, shows the plan each product has on your account and polishes checkboxes, focus rings and sidebar icons.
- Pro no longer switches off when this PC's clock runs behind. A license signed moments earlier was refused if the clock was more than five minutes behind the account service, which can happen when the time zone is set by hand. The allowance is now one day, the same as the account service's. How long Pro keeps working offline is unchanged: it is still counted from the moment the license was signed.
- Sign-in, registration, verification and password reset now explain what went wrong in the app's language: an incorrect email or password, an email that already has an account (perhaps from PC Tweaker Uninstaller or Tweaky Driver), too many attempts, an account service that is not responding, or no internet connection. Some of these used to show the server's English text or a bare error code. A password longer than 72 bytes is caught before anything is sent.
- The account menu lists PC Tweaker and PC Tweaker Uninstaller with the plan each one has on your account: Lifetime, Annual or Monthly with the date it runs until, Included with Lifetime, or Not active.
- Checkboxes follow the theme in Debloat, Maintenance and Account, with a visible keyboard focus and a clear disabled state. PC Tweaker 1.18.1 makes Before & After a measured comparison, turns Change history into a record you can filter, export and undo by session, gives Debloat facts about how each app is really used, adds starter profiles and moves Portuguese to European Portuguese.
- Before & After, on PC Health: measure, apply your changes, measure again. Each timed test runs at least 7 times and shows its median with the usual spread. A difference is reported only when the two series are clearly apart (exact rank test, p < 0.01), at least 5% apart and in the same direction; otherwise it says there is no meaningful change. Processes, startup apps, memory in use and free space are read once and count only above stated thresholds. Boot time comes from the times Windows itself records, which needs administrator permission to read. If Windows restarted between the two measurements, the result says so. The comparison can be saved as an image that includes the method.
- Starter profiles: Gaming, Streaming, Work, Study, Laptop and No interruptions. They use only reversible, per-user switches. Nothing is selected or applied until you choose, and a control this PC's Windows does not support is shown but never applied.
- Change history becomes a timeline by day and session. Each change says where it came from (its own switch, a profile, a starter profile, Scan, or a re-apply after a Windows update), whether it is still in effect, and, from this version on, the registry values before and after. Undo one change, a whole session or everything still in effect, always after a confirmation that lists what goes back. Filter by type, result and period, search names and registry values, export to CSV or JSON, or print to PDF. App removals from Debloat appear in the same timeline. Clearing the history asks first.
- Debloat shows, for each app, when its data last changed, whether it starts with Windows and how much memory it uses while running, all as Windows records them; a data change is a hint, not proof of use. Minimal, Balanced and Aggressive fill the selection only when clicked, and the preview still lists every app before anything is removed. A selection can be saved as a list and loaded on another PC, which selects apps but never removes them. Apps can be sorted by their last data change.
- Turbo Boost shows how much of the processor load is PC Tweaker itself and how much is everything else.
- The Windows AI Components Host control now sets the service to Manual instead of Disabled, so Windows can still start it when an app or a Windows feature asks for it.
- The Microsoft Edge AI control states which policies apply to personal profiles and which only to work or school profiles. The drag tray and Windows suggestions controls state that their values come from Windows community documentation. Automatic RAM cleanup explains that it needs PC Tweaker running as administrator.
- On current Windows 11, Windows protects the taskbar Widgets switch from other apps. Where it does, "Hide Widgets from the taskbar" is shown as unavailable, with the way to change it in Settings, instead of failing.
- Portuguese is now European Portuguese throughout, and the language menu lists it as Português (Portugal). English remains the language on first launch, whatever the Windows language; a language you choose is remembered.

15 new controls, a preview before every change, automatic undo when something goes wrong, and a live PC Health dashboard.
PC Tweaker now has 81 controls (46 Free, 35 Pro), up from 66. More important than the count: every tweak tells you what it is about to write before it writes it, undoes itself if an application fails partway, and asks you, one checkbox at a time, before re-applying anything a Windows update has put back.
Highlights
1. The Windows AI layer, under your control. Five new controls cover Click to Do (where available), the Windows AI Fabric service, and the AI features in Microsoft Edge, Paint and Notepad. Turn them off, keep them, or restore them later from the change ledger.
2. Preview before you apply. Every tweak has a "What this changes, exactly" panel behind the (i) next to its name: each registry key, the value it holds now and the value it will be set to, read without changing anything. If an application fails midway, PC Tweaker puts back what it has already written on its own.
3. Your settings survive Windows updates. With "Watch for Windows updates" on, a check runs at sign-in. When a cumulative update has put settings back, PC Tweaker lists exactly which tweaks are no longer in effect, with one checkbox per item. Untick anything you changed on purpose, then re-apply. Nothing is re-applied silently.

Gaming
- Turn off Game Bar captures, including the background recording of your last minutes of play.
Each card shows what the control needs (HKCU or HKLM, administrator rights, Windows version and edition). A control that does not apply to your PC says so, for example "Not available on this PC: it needs Windows 11 24H2 or later", instead of pretending to work.
Safety
- Preview (dry run). The "What this changes, exactly" panel lists every value with its current and new state, with a Copy button per entry; batches list every value they will write.
- Automatic undo. If an application fails partway, the values already written are restored immediately.
- Guided re-apply after Windows updates. The check runs at sign-in and reports only when something has actually stopped being in effect. The report names the build it detected, lists the affected tweaks with checkboxes, and waits for you.
- It touches only what it must. Priority and background-efficiency rules never touch Windows components, and "Leave self-managed games alone" pauses every per-app adjustment while such a game is running, leaving the game exactly as it is.

PC Tweaker 1.13.1 adds a connection check to the two tweaks that change how Windows handles TCP connections: acknowledgment timing and the congestion provider. The line is tested before the change and again afterwards. If it stopped responding, the setting is put back exactly as it was and the attempt is reported as failed, so a lost connection is never left for you to trace back to the tweak that caused it. The check opens a TCP connection to 1.1.1.1, or to github.com if that is unreachable, and sends nothing about you or your device.
Select all in Quick Scan no longer ticks the changes the scan advises against on your hardware. Those remain available individually, under their own heading, with the reason shown. Deselect all continues to clear every box.
These tweaks can still suit one line and not another, and neither check measures speed: congestion control only shows itself on a loaded connection, and an idle measurement would move by noise alone. Every change remains reversible from the same place.

PC Tweaker 1.13.0 introduces a Lifetime campaign price of €79.99 against the €119 list price, shown only while a campaign window is open. The reduction is drawn only when the list price is genuinely higher than the amount charged at checkout.

Five new native Windows power controls, a redesigned desktop workspace, and digitally signed Windows installers from Aurelio Avila.
- Five actual tweaks. CPU energy-performance preference and USB wake troubleshooting are Free. PCIe link power management and short/long-thread scheduling preferences are Pro. The catalog now contains 61 tweaks, including 37 Free. The new controls change mains-power policy only, record the original plan and effective value, and verify writes and restoration. Hybrid scheduling requires different CPU efficiency classes. These are explicit tuning or diagnostic options, with no promised FPS gain.
- A clearer desktop workspace. Overview, saved Profiles and Change history join the existing sections. Tool pages explain their actions and recovery limits. Plans & pricing and Buy me a coffee remain visible; existing themes and the original logo are retained.
- Lifetime checkout and extras. Plans use server-verified availability. An active campaign has one fixed 48-hour deadline shared by all visitors, with a notice that prices and availability may change. Existing Lifetime access is preserved. Lifetime also includes saved-profile comparison and portable Markdown tuning reports, protected by native entitlement checks.
- More reliable billing. Subscription updates cannot overwrite Lifetime access. Paid checkout delivery is retryable, and purchase emails use a durable queue with duplicate protection and retries. Licenses activate on the signed-in account; email delivery does not gate access.
- Safer restoration. Original settings are committed before changes. Overlapping legacy records are retained for review. New DNS records distinguish automatic from static configuration; old ambiguous DNS or power-plan records stop with an explanation rather than guessing a recovery target.

Compatibility note
Some old recovery records do not identify their original power plan or whether DNS was automatic. These records are preserved and may require manual recovery. Battery settings are unchanged by the five new controls. USB selective-suspend disabling is for diagnosis; Windows recommends keeping it enabled normally.

Windows integrity check and repair
DISM and SFC — the tools Microsoft support asks people to run from a command prompt — with a progress bar and a plain verdict. The check is free; the repair sequence and the WinSxS shrink are Pro.
DISM is forced to /English so the result is read from a sentence that does not change with your display language, and when it cannot be read confidently the app says "finished, here is the log" rather than inventing a clean bill of health. The repair runs DISM /RestoreHealth before sfc /scannow, in that order, because SFC repairs system files from the component store — running it first against a corrupt store just fails slowly. /ResetBase is deliberately not offered: it permanently discards the ability to uninstall updates already installed.
Selective cookie cleaning
The browser cleaner deletes the whole cookie file, which signs you out of everything — which is why most people click it once and never again.
This removes tracking and advertising cookies while keeping the ones holding a sign-in, against an editable keep-list that covers subdomains: adding google.com also keeps accounts.google.com. Scanning works while the browser is open; cleaning needs it closed, because writing to a database a running Chromium holds corrupts its next write. The database is copied first, so a clean can be undone.
Third-party app caches
Shader caches, game launchers, chat apps and package managers sit on gigabytes they rebuild on their own. Thirteen hand-verified targets — DirectX, NVIDIA, AMD and Intel shader caches, Steam, Epic, Battle.net, Discord, VS Code, npm, pip, crash dumps and Windows error reports — every one checked against a single rule: deleting it costs time, never data.
These are deleted for good rather than recycled, and the app says so: sending fifteen gigabytes to the Recycle Bin frees nothing until the bin is emptied. Scanning is free.
The startup list was missing half of what starts
As a 64-bit process the app only ever read the 64-bit registry view, so every entry belonging to 32-bit software — most consumer installers — was invisible on a screen whose entire job is to be complete. It now covers the 32-bit Run key and the Startup folder as well, each toggled through the approval key Windows itself writes, so what you see here still matches Task Manager.
Scheduled startup tasks
Software updaters moved out of the Run key and into the Task Scheduler years ago, precisely because nothing surfaces them there. Third-party logon and boot tasks are now listed and switchable. Windows' own tasks are not listed at all, and their state is read from each task's XML rather than from a status word that changes with your display language.

- Game Sessions frees memory on launch. Starting a registered game now also asks Windows to page out everything else's working set, and reports how much came back.
- Lifetime has a card of its own. The Lifetime tab used to show a plan labelled "Pro" beside a Free column nobody arrived for. It now says what buying outright uniquely gives you.
- Every button shows a hand cursor again. Tailwind v4 ships cursor: default on buttons where v3 left the browser's pointer alone, and the whole interface had quietly inherited it.
Every change is still snapshotted before it is applied and revertible individually or all at once. Anything needing administrator rights asks for a UAC prompt only for that action — the app itself always runs unprivileged.

PC Tweaker 1.7.2
The Uninstaller card now offers the download itself, behind a confirmation,
instead of sending you to a repository page to work out which file you wanted.
What changed
- The Uninstaller card downloads the Uninstaller. Its button used to open
the project page on GitHub and stop there, which left you on a releases page
holding six files — two installers, two signatures, a manifest — with no
indication of which one to click. It now asks first: a short dialog says what
is about to be downloaded (the installer, about 4 MB, 64-bit Windows 10 and
11, the same account as this app), and you choose Download, Open the page
instead, or Cancel. Nothing downloads without that click.
- The SmartScreen warning is stated before it appears. The Uninstaller is
not code-signed yet, so Windows shows a blue warning the first time you run
it. The dialog says so up front, with what to click — More info, then Run
anyway. An unexplained blue box is how a download gets abandoned by someone
who assumes they have caught something.
Nothing else in the app moved: same tweaks, same behaviour, same numbers.

PC Tweaker 1.7.1
This maintenance release fixes Watch for Windows updates on PCs where Windows previously returned an unhelpful “Access is denied” message. The watchdog now uses a universally valid Task Scheduler location, stays at limited privileges when it runs, retries setup through a focused UAC prompt only when required by local policy, and verifies that Windows actually saved the setting.

Windows quietly undoes your tweaks after an update. Now you find out.
- The update watchdog runs on its own. PC Tweaker has always been able to
tell when a cumulative update reverted something you applied — Windows keeps
the registry entries it recognises and discards the rest, and documents that
as expected behaviour. Until now it only noticed if you happened to open the
app and reach the Ledger tab. There is a switch there to have it check at
logon instead, and tell you only when something has actually stopped being
in effect. It stays quiet otherwise. No administrator rights: it reads the
registry and shows a notification.
- Fix all now measures. The Baseline Engine was built to compare the same
machine before and after, and nothing ever asked it to. Applying a batch
that contains something it can actually reflect — the power plan, power
throttling, background apps — now runs it either side and puts the numbers
on the finished screen. When nothing moved it says so: a taskbar tweak has
no business shifting a CPU score.
- Two new tweaks, both Pro. Global timer resolution restores the
system-wide high-resolution timer, which Windows has made per-process since
10 2004, so everything that never asked stops running against the ~15.6 ms
default. Disable core parking stops idle cores being parked while you are
plugged in, so one does not have to be woken before it can service your
mouse. On battery, parking stays: that is what it is for.
- Fixed: choosing a plan from the pricing screen without an account showed an
error and no way to fix it. It now opens the sign-in menu, which is what the
rest of the app already did.
56 tweaks, 21 Pro, 35 free forever.

You can now buy me a coffee from the sidebar: a one-off tip, with the number of coffees chosen before checkout opens. It needs no account and unlocks nothing — Pro is unchanged and this is not part of it.
The installer isn't code-signed yet, so Windows may show a SmartScreen warning on first run: More info → Run anyway. Existing installs update themselves; the update is cryptographically signed and verified before it installs.

- Fixed: opening Hardware ran the sixteen-second driver scan on its own
whenever nothing was cached yet. It now waits for Rescan, as the rest of
the app already expected it to.

- Browser cleanup now also covers Brave, Vivaldi, Opera and Opera GX, on top
of Chrome, Edge and Firefox. Requested by a user who browses only with
Brave and found the cleanup screen empty. Opera keeps its profile under a
different path than the other Chromium browsers, which is handled
correctly rather than assumed to match Chrome's layout.

- Fixed: an account with Pro but no payment history could not buy the lifetime
plan. The plans screen showed it a statement that Pro was active, on every
tab, with no way to act on it — including the one tab where there was still
something to buy.

- The plans screen used to show a Manage subscription button to every Pro
account. Two kinds of account have nothing there to manage — Pro granted
directly, which has no Stripe customer, and a lifetime purchase, which has
no subscription — and both were answered with an error. Each now sees what
is actually true of their account.
- Subscribers can move to the lifetime plan from the plans screen. The
monthly or annual charge is set to stop at the end of the period already
paid for, so the upgrade never bills twice.
- Fixed: the profile photo belonged to the computer rather than to the
account, so signing out and into a different account showed the previous
person's picture. Each account now keeps its own, and the photo already on
this machine stays with whoever is signed in.

- Update Watchdog. A cumulative update does not just patch binaries: it
reinstalls apps you removed, re-enables services you turned off, and
rewrites registry values you deliberately changed. You used to find out
weeks later, if at all, because the tweak screen still said "applied" —
that is what you asked for, and nothing ever went back to check whether it
was still true. History now reports which applied tweaks are no longer in
effect, and re-applies them in one click.
It reports what it can prove and stops there. When Windows has not patched
the machine in between, it says so rather than blaming an update that did
not happen — and a value it cannot read is never reported as reverted,
because "Windows undid your tweak" is not a claim to make about a
permissions error.
- Crash reports, kept on this machine. A crash used to leave no trace you
could act on. In the main window that at least looks like something. In the
elevated helper it looked like nothing at all: no window, so a failure there
meant you clicked apply, the prompt closed, and you were told nothing. Both
now record what happened, and History shows it with a button that copies the
report so you can send it if you want to. Nothing is uploaded, and there is
no opt-in upload either — the profile path and account name are stripped
before anything is written, because the file exists to be pasted in public.
- Pro, paid once. A lifetime plan at EUR 74.99 alongside monthly and
annual. The card states when it pays for itself against the annual plan,
derived from the prices rather than written down.
Fixed
- Reopening the app with the gaming overlay already on screen showed the
"Show" button instead of its controls: the card assumed the overlay was
closed rather than asking.
