New Features
- Sonnet 5.5 for Claude Agent and the Claude API. The Sonnet row now runs Sonnet 5.5, and Sonnet 5 stays selectable.
- GPT-6.1 Sol in the Codex and OpenAI model pickers, now the default Codex model.
- Crew Extension (alpha, off by default): persistent agent teammates that work scheduled shifts within token budgets and flag you when something needs you. Use /crew:hire in any agent session to design a new Crew member.
- Opt-in unlimited open projects, with a scrollable project rail and cleanup of resources for projects you are not using (#1579, contributed by @jszobody).
- Extensions can start and drive their own agent sessions.
Improvements
- Claude Code sessions waiting on a background shell or sub-agent show a distinct indicator and name the task in the transcript.
- Quick Track's Cmd+Enter creates the item and closes the popup without switching to Tracker mode, and the title field now spans the popup.
- Improved load performance for very large Codex sessions.
Fixed
- Compound Bash commands no longer prompt for permission after a user PreToolUse hook has allowed them (#426, contributed by @yanekm).
- Overlapping file-tree scans no longer exhaust memory while files change in large projects (#1604, contributed by @jszobody).
- Agent sessions no longer read and cache large or binary files written into the workspace, which flooded the log and grew memory.
- Inline diffs no longer freeze the window for agent edits across long, list-heavy markdown files (#1606).
- A sent prompt no longer stays duplicated below the transcript when the turn is slow to start (#1620).
- Transcript messages no longer flash and redraw while a session is streaming.
- Sessions no longer stay marked as running, or lose their waiting-for-you state, around an open question. A question left unanswered by sending a new message now shows as skipped.
- Claude Agent sessions in an externally created worktree no longer stay stuck on "running" after a background command finishes.
- Following external Claude Code sessions keeps importing after the agent changes directory, and skips unchanged logs.
- Codex auto-review and subagent threads no longer appear as separate "# AGENTS.md instructions" sessions.
- File @-mention suggestions pick up newly created and renamed files without a reload.
- Clicking the Dock or tray icon brings back the project window after the app sat in the background.
- Context menus and popovers no longer open under the title bar, where their first item could not be clicked.
- Workstream sessions in the session list keep their "updated" time current.
- Tracker types defined in a background project's window now appear in its tracker pane without a reload. |
| 0.77.5 | 9 de setembre del 2026 | — | 64 bits EXE (NSIS)ARM64 EXE (NSIS) Notes de la versióSeptember 9th, 2026 Release
New Features
- GPT-6 Astra can be selected for Codex sessions, with its Ultra reasoning level.
- Agent Files on Right Choose whether Agent mode opens file tabs above the transcript or in the right pane.
- Support for multiple folder and repos roots Run multiple repos roots and other folders in a single nimbalyst project.
- Database recovery in Settings. Recover preserved database copies and see why a migration is blocked; recovery and rollback keep the original data intact across restarts.
- Media Viewer extension. Open and play .mp4 files in a tab, including scrubbing through long recordings.
- Document questions. Send a question from a document to your teammates, collect private answers, and let the agent resume once a human settles the outcome. Sent questions show up in Feedback with response progress and links back to each one.
- A .deb download for Debian and Ubuntu, which starts on Ubuntu 24.04 and later where the AppImage is blocked by AppArmor's user-namespace restriction.
- Decision blocks in documents. Record a decision inline with solo or collaborative voting; the outcome and who voted for it are preserved in the markdown.
- Project Graph gains Atlas, Pulse and Evidence Trails, with broader source coverage, saved views, and the ability to explore the sources behind a link.
- Radar for shared trackers. A since-you-left digest of teammate activity, status moves, bulk sweeps and stalled work, in both the desktop app and the web console.
- Jump to unanswered agent questions, and scroll to new ones automatically.
- The Git panel's Changes tab can show every repository in the project at once, each with its own file list and commit box.
- A session that launches another session can request the reasoning effort it runs at, rather than leaving it on the app-wide default.
Improvements
- Commit with AI proposes one commit per repository when your changes span several, so you approve each one separately and each gets its own message.
- Project Memory indexes agent instructions and personal memory as separate sources, can use an optional on-device embedding model, and reports semantic-search readiness accurately.
- iOS performance and layout fixes releasing to app store soon.
- The tracker's Type column can show the type's name instead of its icon.
- Database migration no longer times out while copying large document histories, recovers from slow batches, and copies large session tables more efficiently (#1452).
Fixed
Data and sync
- Document sync could delete markdown files from your workspace, including files tracked in git.
- Sync connection errors wrote your authentication token to the application log in plain text.
- A desktop with a mismatched sync key now pauses session sync and reports the mismatch instead of deleting shared index entries.
- Waking from sleep could start a second full database backup while one was still running, so both failed. The backup copies setting now also applies to databases still on the older engine.
- Rapid edits to a shared spreadsheet in the web console no longer let an older asynchronous save overwrite the latest cell value.
Git and commits
- Committing changes that spanned repositories reported files as committed that were never committed, and showed only the first repository's commit hash.
- Approving a commit from your phone failed outright when the changes spanned repositories, including the files that could have been committed.
- A session running in a worktree silently left out changes in the project's attached folders when committing.
- Pull requests were missing from the Git panel when the project is a fork checkout; they now list against the upstream repository (#1439).
- The Git tab jumped back to the previously selected repository when you switched between repositories in a multi-repository project.
- Git commit details scroll together with the commit list in short panels.
- A tracker item closed by a commit recorded the close with no author and an unor |
| 0.76.2 | 2 de setembre del 2026 | — | 64 bits EXE (NSIS)ARM64 EXE (NSIS) Notes de la versióSeptember 2nd, 2026 Release
New Features
- Claude Fable 5.1 is available in the model picker, with Fable 5 kept as a selectable previous-generation option.
- Menu bar session fleet dynamic island (macOS) as an option. The menu bar names a session as it starts, finishes, blocks or fails, and shows aggregate state otherwise. A hover dropdown allows quick navigation to sessions.
- Multi-folder projects. A project can span several folders. Attach one from the File menu or quick open and it appears in the explorer, in search, and to your agents, with git status, branches and commits tracked per repository.
- Quick add Tracker Items (Cmd+Shift+I). File a tracker item of any type from anywhere in the app. It offers similar existing items before you add a duplicate.
- Share a whole folder to your team. Right-click a folder and choose "Share Folder to Team" to publish everything shareable inside it at once, mirroring its subfolders in the team space.
- /planning:nimbalyst-coach reviews your project and recent sessions and suggests extensions that match your files, features you have not tried, and instructions worth adding. It changes nothing until you approve it.
- Grok Build, Cursor Agent and Gemini alpha support
Improvements
- Window title bar improvements: creating documents and sessions
- In the tracker table the Key cell is the open button. Clicking any other cell selects it, and double-click always means edit.
- The session model picker loads much faster, by caching provider discovery ahead of opening
- The Git panel and title bar name the Git command running right now and who started it, and the Output tab marks the ones an agent ran.
Fixed
- Agent edits to a file already open in diff mode could be reverted by an autosave or freeze at an old version. Repeated writes now stay ordered, accept/reject and manual save can no longer overwrite newer content, and large documents keep their approval bar.
- Opening a markdown file with a pending AI edit could lock up the app for half a minute and then show no diff at all. Very large files now skip the inline highlighting and go straight to the approve/reject bar.
- A shared tracker item could arrive with no issue key, leaving it unreachable by deep link or key lookup. New items keep the key they are given and existing ones get theirs back.
- A tracker item's body is no longer cleared when the item's metadata syncs with your team, and an item can no longer drift onto an issue key that belongs to a different item.
- The tracker's Display Settings (view, grouping, ordering and sort) are remembered per tracker type, so grouping bugs by status no longer regroups every other tracker (#1412).
- A failed compaction showed a bare error and left the Compact button stuck on "Compacting...". It now reports the failure with its cause and lets you retry (#1414).
- Phone-started sessions run on one desktop instead of starting duplicate agents across every connected install.
- A command an agent ran in the background was killed about five minutes after its turn ended. One can now run for up to 30 minutes.
- A session working through a long build or test run dropped out of the menu bar's Running list after fifteen minutes and was labelled as not responding until its turn ended.
- Clicking a desktop notification from a session running in a worktree reported that the session could not be found. It now opens the session.
- Images an agent writes inside a session's worktree open at full size instead of failing to load (#1343, contributed by @forcewalkerneo).
- Images in a shared document render in the web console instead of showing a broken-image placeholder.
- Extensions can store secrets on Windows again; secrets saved on macOS and Linux by earlier versions are picked up automatically.
- An API key left in your shell environment is no longer handed to the Codex or Copilot coding agents. Only a key you configured in Nimbalyst settings is used.
- Grok Build and Cursor Agent report the tokens a session actuall |
| 0.75.5 | 28 d’agost del 2026 | — | 64 bits EXE (NSIS)ARM64 EXE (NSIS) Notes de la versióAugust 28th, 2026 Release
Cumulative release notes covering everything since v0.74.4.
New Features
- Project Canvas — an infinite canvas where every card is a real, live editor (markdown, mockup, spreadsheet, drawing, mindmap), not a screenshot. Drag files or shared documents onto the board, add sticky notes, frames and arrows, and work with team comments, presence and agent activity. It saves as an open .canvas file that reviews as a diff, works in the desktop app and the web console, and an AI session can build a board for you from a description.
- Animation editor — author step-based technical animations in .anim.json files, with a live stage, scrubbable timeline, retiming, frames that draw real product UI, and MP4 or GIF export.
- Trackers in the web console — work your team's shared trackers in list, table, board, timeline and tag board views, with search, filtering, grouping, column choice, inline editing, comments and drag-and-drop, converging live with the desktop app.
- Organization invitations from the web console — invite people, see who has not accepted, and resend or revoke a pending invitation.
- Design feedback requests — compare mockups inside a request: preview every option, open one full size, and vote without leaving the request.
- Comment on a spot in a shared mockup. Pins sync live, keep their place when an AI regenerates the mockup, and agents can read and reply.
- Right-click a tracker item to jump to the AI sessions working on it, or launch a new session or worktree for it.
- Browse and triage GitHub issues beside pull requests, keeping your investigation status and notes local until you adopt an issue as a tracker item.
- Commit with AI can stage individual hunks, so parallel sessions editing the same file each commit only their own lines.
- OpenCode sessions gain slash commands, Compact, agent roles, and a live model picker for the models you are signed in for.
- Creating an automation can set where its output goes, what the file is called, and whether it starts enabled.
- A session that orchestrates other sessions can interrupt one to deliver an instruction immediately.
Improvements
- Mockups and data models embedded in a document render as the live editor instead of a saved screenshot; existing embeds convert on open.
- Mockup project files open as a read-only preview with a "Convert to canvas" action, writing a new .canvas file beside the untouched original.
- Editing many tracker rows at once — pasting a range, or changing status or priority across a selection — applies as a single update instead of one per row.
- Quick open finds a tracker by issue key or number and puts it at the top.
- AI sessions take less disk: Nimbalyst stops recording progress counters and duplicate screenshots it never displays, and clearing old tool output now prunes existing sessions too.
- The Claude Code CLI provider is off unless you turn it on; the Claude Agent, now marked recommended, already runs on your Claude subscription.
- Calc Sheets mix narrative Markdown with calculations without treating prose as a formula error, and recognize ln.
- Tips in a new session's empty panel rotate, so you work through the set over time.
- Find (Cmd+F) in Tracker Mode jumps to the search box.
- Codex sessions run on the 0.149.1 Codex release.
Fixed
- Reduced freezes during startup, while an AI session edits files, or while opening shared documents, switching projects, saving files, loading sessions, or resizing panes.
- Images attached to a Claude Code session reach the model again; since 0.75.1 every one was dropped without warning.
- Claude sessions on Windows no longer crash at start; if the agent process does die, Nimbalyst says why and retries once.
- Updated bundled dependencies to pick up published security fixes, including ones affecting the auto-updater and extension installation.
- Tracker items stuck on their way to your team now sync, including in projects you aren't focused on.
- Offline team-tracker edits, including |
| 0.74.4 | 22 d’agost del 2026 | — | 64 bits EXE (NSIS)ARM64 EXE (NSIS) Notes de la versióAugust 22nd, 2026 Release
A recovery update for anyone whose sessions disappeared.
If your session list came up empty
Some installs could start up on a brand-new, empty database while the real one — every session, every conversation, all of your document history — sat untouched on disk beside it. The app looked completely normal, because your project list is stored separately. Only the sessions were missing.
Nothing was deleted. This update detects that situation at startup and opens the database that actually holds your data. If you were affected, install this release and your sessions come back on the next launch. There is nothing to restore by hand.
If your sessions are still missing after updating, please open an issue and include your startup log — the two causes behind this symptom need different recovery steps, and the log says which one you hit.
Fixed
- Installs that came up with an empty database now open the one that actually holds their sessions.
- The database restore guide now identifies which database an install is using before recommending a backup, so a recovery step cannot overwrite good data with an empty copy. |
| 0.74.3 | 21 d’agost del 2026 | — | 64 bits EXE (NSIS)ARM64 EXE (NSIS) Notes de la versióAugust 21st 2026 Release
New Features
- Desktop notifications carry their own icon, so a finished agent, a question, an approval request, and a teammate's message are distinguishable at a glance.
- Expand the active tab to fill the window from View > Toggle Expanded Tab or with Shift+Escape, in any view mode.
- The tracker sidebar collapses and reopens like every other mode's — the Tracker icon, Cmd+T, or the title-bar control.
- Trackers hide closed work by default, with an Open / All / Closed switch on every view, Won't Do and Duplicate statuses, and Owner and Due Date across the All view.
- Tracker items that have not been shared yet get a number of their own, like PROJ.12, so you can refer to one before it is published.
- Spreadsheets gain date-time, time, checkbox, link, and tracker columns, cell styling, accounting and scientific number formats, and date arithmetic in formulas.
- Shared spreadsheets, mockups, and Excalidraw diagrams open and edit in the web console, with live presence between the desktop app and the browser.
- Ask a teammate for structured feedback: your agent drafts the question, it lands in their inbox with the artifacts it is about, and anyone can answer in a browser.
- A file link that names a line opens the file scrolled to that line instead of the top.
- Entities and relationships a teammate has selected in a shared data model show their name and color.
Improvements
- Fewer and now-adjustable database backups, reduced storage retention of command output, and an option to discard old tool output.
- Improved performance of personal mobile document sync.
- Codex no longer offers slash commands it cannot run, and Compact is hidden for agents that cannot compact.
- Mockup project files can no longer be shared to a team, since their screens do not yet sync between people.
Fixed
Interface
- An unresponsive renderer no longer wedges the main process behind a dialog you cannot see. (#807, contributed by @co-cy)
- A full-screen window has a visible way out again: an exit button in the title bar, and on macOS the window buttons reappear at the top of the screen.
- Selecting text in the transcript no longer breaks as new content streams in, and long transcripts no longer slow down matching tool calls against unbounded history. (#1217, #1144, contributed by @forcewalkerneo and @Yogitmeister)
- An active session content search is no longer replaced by title-only results. (#1136, contributed by @Yogitmeister)
- Relative times in the session list keep updating on idle sessions. (#1200, contributed by @forcewalkerneo)
- The spellchecker follows your OS locale, with a setting to override it. (#1256, contributed by @forcewalkerneo)
- Text in the git Output tab is selectable.
Agents
- Questions, plan approvals, and commit proposals remain answerable after the agent moves on, and typed input in an agent prompt widget no longer disappears when the prompt changes underneath it. (#1218, contributed by @forcewalkerneo)
- A Claude Code CLI session no longer hangs when the CLI asks you to confirm a model switch, and a session leaves Thinking when a turn ends with a shell task still running. (#1246, contributed by @hajee)
- A resumed CLI session no longer replays a synthesized user message, and the CLI's prompt-suggestion fork is no longer read as session activity. (#1272, contributed by @tlee-nymbl)
- The effort level you select applies to Claude Code CLI sessions instead of being ignored. (#996, contributed by @Derazien)
- MCP servers configured for a specific project in Claude Code load on Windows instead of being silently ignored. (#1317, contributed by @Derazien)
- Codex file edits show a red/green diff again, Codex sessions show context usage, Compact works, and your skills reach Codex.
- A Codex session that cannot resume says so instead of starting over with an empty history while still showing the old conversation, and a Codex tool server that fails to start shows as failed instead of the agent quietly losing its too |

New Features
- Group the tracker board into lanes by milestone, goal, or any other field — drag a card, use the chip on it, or move several at once — and lay the same grouping out over time in the new Timeline view.
- Git Log shows which AI session produced each commit, with a click-through to open it.
- The editor header shows the last AI session that worked on the open file, with a dropdown to jump to other sessions or start a new one.
- Improved taskbar session state preview
Fixed
- Agents reading a web page no longer receive what you typed into its form fields.
- Sessions waiting on a question or a permission prompt now show as awaiting your input in the sidebar and on mobile, instead of looking like they are still running.
- Prompts sent from your phone appear in the queue while they are still pending.
- Viewing history diffs no longer freezes a restored session.
- The slash-command palette shows each command and skill's own description again, along with its correct icon and grouping.
- Browser tabs now line up with their tab when the window is zoomed in or out, instead of painting the page in the wrong place and at the wrong size.
- Repositories with more than a page of open pull requests no longer show only the first page, and accented characters in PR titles no longer come through garbled. |
| 0.72.8 | 7 d’agost del 2026 | — | 64 bits EXE (NSIS)ARM64 EXE (NSIS) Notes de la versióAugust 7th 2026 Release
New Features
- New Tutorial available on install and via Help > Launch Tutorial
- Tracker items can now open as full documents with editable field chips, keyboard-driven search and filters, and a side-by-side AI chat panel.
- Undo and redo in the tracker table with Cmd+Z and Cmd+Shift+Z, covering cell edits, paste, bulk status and priority changes, and archiving.
- Spreadsheets support find, replace and formulas.
- The new-worktree dialog can now search branches, narrowing the local and remote lists as you type.
- Agent sessions can show an MCP status chip listing which servers the session has and which are connected — off by default, under Settings > Agent Features.
Improvements
- The Git panel's Changes tab is now one compact, collapsible list with no staging step: tick the files you want and commit them, or hand the selection to AI to write the message.
- Claude Agent sessions no longer re-write the prompt cache on most turns, cutting token cost and rate-limit usage on long sessions.
Fixed
- Claude Code sessions use your existing MCP setup instead of overriding it, so account connectors load again and sessions no longer fail to start on machines with an organization-managed MCP policy (#1051).
- OAuth-authorized HTTP and SSE servers connect, and servers whose provider refuses dynamic client registration can be authorized with a client ID you enter.
- Queued prompts now run on their own: a prompt sent from your phone opens the project and runs it, prompts left over from a quit resume once the project is open again, and a prompt that arrives mid-turn runs when the turn ends (#962).
- Sessions no longer show as running after their work finished, so prompts queued behind an interrupted or background-task session send. Cancelling a Codex session stops it for good, and Codex sessions using parallel sub-agents wait for the lead agent's final response.
- Yes/no questions from the agent show both answers as pickable buttons and wait for you to choose. Answering or cancelling a question closes it for good instead of bringing it back when you switch sessions (#1116, #773).
- Simply opening a tracker item no longer bumps its "Updated" time or adds a phantom edit to its history.
- Tracker items with structured array fields no longer crash when opened (#1104), sidebar type counts no longer read 0 for types that have items, and sorting by a date column orders rows by date instead of alphabetically by month name.
- A session that reports its previous conversation has expired now genuinely starts fresh on the next message (#1098).
- Main windows restore their maximized state after restart instead of reopening at stale bounds (#1077), and dropdown menus no longer open underneath the macOS window controls (#1096).
- Windows builds sign installer and uninstaller (#853).
- A file that repeatedly fails to save now shows a Retry banner instead of autosave looping on it forever.
- Projects with many new, uncommitted folders no longer stall while the file tree and changed-files list refresh.
- Find-in-document highlights matches inside inline code, comments whose anchor text was deleted scroll into view, and the sidebar extension panel reopens where you left it after a reload (#1114).
- Links written as plain relative paths, such as design/dashboard.mockup.html, open the file instead of a broken page in your web browser, and embedded mockups and diagrams in shared documents open the shared copy.
- When a session edits the same file several times, the red/green diff shows the whole set of changes again instead of only the last one.
- Tables exported to PDF span the full page width with content-sized columns.
- Web search and web fetch no longer fail in Claude Code CLI sessions running at max effort.
- Changing a project's permission mode now applies to agent sessions that are already running. |
| 0.71.3 | 28 de juliol del 2026 | — | 64 bits EXE (NSIS)ARM64 EXE (NSIS) Notes de la versióJuly 28th 2026 Release
Fixed
- Windows and Linux get the File/Edit/View menus back, now drawn in the project window's title bar.
- Menus and popups that open over the title bar respond to clicks again on Windows and Linux, including "Open folder…" in the project switcher (#1052).
- Tracker types defined in one project no longer overwrite another open project's identically-named types (#1035).
- Codex sessions now reach for Nimbalyst's own browser tools instead of dead-ending on a third-party in-app browser plugin. |
