New Features
- Sonnet 5.5 for Claude Agent and the Claude API. The Sonnet row now runs Sonnet 5.5, and Sonnet 5 stays selectable.
- GPT-6.1 Sol in the Codex and OpenAI model pickers, now the default Codex model.
- Crew Extension (alpha, off by default): persistent agent teammates that work scheduled shifts within token budgets and flag you when something needs you. Use /crew:hire in any agent session to design a new Crew member.
- Opt-in unlimited open projects, with a scrollable project rail and cleanup of resources for projects you are not using (#1579, contributed by @jszobody).
- Extensions can start and drive their own agent sessions.
Improvements
- Claude Code sessions waiting on a background shell or sub-agent show a distinct indicator and name the task in the transcript.
- Quick Track's Cmd+Enter creates the item and closes the popup without switching to Tracker mode, and the title field now spans the popup.
- Improved load performance for very large Codex sessions.
Fixed
- Compound Bash commands no longer prompt for permission after a user PreToolUse hook has allowed them (#426, contributed by @yanekm).
- Overlapping file-tree scans no longer exhaust memory while files change in large projects (#1604, contributed by @jszobody).
- Agent sessions no longer read and cache large or binary files written into the workspace, which flooded the log and grew memory.
- Inline diffs no longer freeze the window for agent edits across long, list-heavy markdown files (#1606).
- A sent prompt no longer stays duplicated below the transcript when the turn is slow to start (#1620).
- Transcript messages no longer flash and redraw while a session is streaming.
- Sessions no longer stay marked as running, or lose their waiting-for-you state, around an open question. A question left unanswered by sending a new message now shows as skipped.
- Claude Agent sessions in an externally created worktree no longer stay stuck on "running" after a background command finishes.
- Following external Claude Code sessions keeps importing after the agent changes directory, and skips unchanged logs.
- Codex auto-review and subagent threads no longer appear as separate "# AGENTS.md instructions" sessions.
- File @-mention suggestions pick up newly created and renamed files without a reload.
- Clicking the Dock or tray icon brings back the project window after the app sat in the background.
- Context menus and popovers no longer open under the title bar, where their first item could not be clicked.
- Workstream sessions in the session list keep their "updated" time current.
- Tracker types defined in a background project's window now appear in its tracker pane without a reload.
