Runner 0.18.0 is a feature release for macOS and Windows on top of 0.17.2.
New
- Remote access, a private beta. Connect this computer to a Runner account and reach its chats and missions from Runner on your other computers, even on another network. Sessions are encrypted end to end, and Runner's relay only forwards them. The beta is invite-only and available in mainland China for now: request an invite code in the Runner Discord or WeChat user group, linked from Settings → Remote access and Settings → About. Your agents keep running when a connection drops or the desktop app closes. (#836)
- Open another computer from the sidebar. Once signed in, the computer picker in the sidebar lists your account's computers with their online status. Click one to switch this window to it, or Shift-click to open it in a new window. Its projects, tabs, missions and terminals use the same controls as this computer: start, stop, resume, fork, rename and archive chats, split panes, browse that computer's folders for New chat and Start mission, read a mission's feed, answer its questions and message its crew. A green dot shows when a session there needs your input. (#953)
- Pair computers with a PIN. On the computer you want to reach, turn on Allow remote access and set a six-digit PIN in Settings → Remote access; the other computer enters it once to pair. Five failed attempts in a row lock PIN entry until you unlock it. Runner notifies you when a computer pairs, and Revoke, Forget and Reset remote access remove access again. Signing in to the account alone never grants terminal access. (#952)
- Take a terminal back. When another computer controls a tab, the desktop shows Controlled from over it. Choose Take back to return the whole tab to this desktop, with each pane fitted to its own size. (#953)
- Local only. Settings → General → Local only hides Account, Remote access, the account avatar and the computer picker, and stops access from other computers. It is off by default. (#836)
- runner remote in the CLI. Sign in, check status, list and pair computers, read another computer's overview, set the PIN, list and revoke paired devices, or reset this computer's identity from a terminal, including over SSH. Signing in, pairing and setting the PIN need your own interactive terminal; agents inside Runner cannot do them. (#951)

Runner 0.17.2 is a bug-fix release for macOS and Windows on top of 0.17.1.
New
- Choose how many roles and crews to show. Select 10, 25 or 50 rows per page. Runner remembers a separate choice for each list, keeps open windows in sync, and adapts pagination to narrow windows. (#1007)
Bug fixes
- Type Option-key characters on international Mac keyboards. The new Settings → Terminal → Option as Meta key setting defaults to Automatic: U.S., U.S. International and ABC layouts retain Meta shortcuts, while other layouts can type characters such as @, brackets and pipes. You can also choose both Option keys, either side individually, or Off; word-motion shortcuts remain available. Option+Space in character mode inserts a regular space. (#929)
- Keep wrapped terminal links together. Matching hyperlink fragments in the same table cell highlight together, with surrounding punctuation and neighboring cells excluded. Link destinations and identities are preserved through redraws and session reattachment. (#1006)
- Release mission messages when the live composer clears. Runner follows the current Antigravity and Claude Code input after redraws or resizing, preventing submitted text left in history from keeping the inbox waiting while continuing to hold messages for real drafts. (#995)

Runner 0.17.1 is a bug-fix release for macOS and Windows on top of 0.17.0.
Bug fixes
- Codex chats no longer get stuck as Drafting. After you submit a prompt in Codex and its input box is empty again, Runner now detects this and delivers queued inbox messages, instead of holding them back. (#940)
- Wrapped links open as one link. When a long URL wraps onto the next row, hovering any part of it now highlights the whole URL, and modifier-clicking a continuation row opens the full address. (#994)
- Launching Runner again on Windows focuses the running app. A second launch now brings the existing window back to the front, instead of starting another copy that takes over the main window. (#980)
- Mission agents wait for inbox notifications. Crew members now end their turn and read their inbox when Runner notifies them, instead of starting their own feed watchers while they wait for teammates. (#985)

Runner 0.17.0 is a feature release for macOS and Windows on top of 0.16.8.
New
- Multiple Claude Code accounts. Keep separate accounts signed in and choose the active account from Settings or the usage menu. New chats and missions use that account; stop and resume existing sessions to switch them while retaining conversation history. Usage is shown per account. (#955)
- Optional shared configuration. Let another account use your main account's memory, skills, agents, commands, enabled plugins, settings and MCP servers. Sign-ins and conversation histories stay separate, and local skills and plugin state are preserved. (#955)
- Dedicated agent settings pages. Each agent now has its own page for executable, defaults and update controls, with Claude Code account management alongside them. (#955)

Runner 0.16.8 is a feature release for macOS and Windows on top of 0.16.7.
New
- A scrollbar on the mission feed. The feed now shows the same scrollbar as the sidebar and Settings, so you can see where you are in a long mission and drag to another point. (#947)
- Clearer inbox reads for agents. When an agent reads messages with runner msg read --since or --from and unread messages remain, the CLI now says how many are still unread and how to clear them with a plain runner msg read. Agent guidance and the guide explain the difference. (#965)
Bug fixes
- Long mission feeds stay responsive. Scrolling, typing in the feed composer and new events no longer slow down as a mission's feed grows, including very long posts and long runs of messages from one agent. (#962)
- Restored missions can be resumed. Restoring a mission from Settings → Archived, or with runner mission unarchive, now reopens it: its members stay stopped until you choose Resume, messages work again, and the feed marks the reopen. Before, a restored mission came back to the sidebar but refused to resume. (#890)
- pi members resume their own conversation in symlinked folders. In a mission whose folder is reached through a symbolic link, a pi member that had already worked could lose its conversation on Resume and start over. It now continues where it left off. (#971)
- Active sidebar rows stay in place. Rows in the Active view no longer jump around as agents start, finish, ask for approval or produce new output. Each group keeps its rows in the order they were created, so ⌘1–9 keep pointing at the same rows. (#972)

- Collapsible Active groups. In the sidebar's Active view, select the Chats, Missions or Terminals heading to collapse or expand that group, as you can with Projects. Runner remembers which groups are collapsed, and ⌘1–9 number only the rows you can see. (#887)
Bug fixes
- The usage footer is back to its 0.16.5 layout. The sidebar footer again shows weekly usage for every installed, enabled provider, Antigravity included, spread across the control, and the extra line above the footer is gone. (#963)
- The New chat row no longer looks selected. Since 0.16.6, the sidebar's New chat row kept a border at rest. It now shows the border only on hover again. (#959)

- An Active view in the sidebar. The new list-filter button beside Search switches the sidebar between Projects and Active, and Runner remembers your choice. Active gathers running chats, terminals and missions from every project, plus anything with unread output or an error, in Chats, Missions and Terminals groups with what needs you at the top. Each tab is one row, as in Projects; selecting a row opens its tab on the pane that needs attention, and ⌘1–9 follow the visible list. Projects keeps its organization and drag and drop unchanged. - A simpler usage footer. The sidebar footer now shows weekly usage for Codex and Claude only; select it to open Usage with every provider, including Antigravity. (#887)
Bug fixes
- Paused missions no longer count as running on the Crews page. A mission whose sessions had all stopped, for example after its slots were stopped or Runner's background service restarted, kept showing as running and live. The crew list and crew cards now count only missions with a live session, and a paused mission is labelled paused. (#948)

Runner 0.16.5 is a feature release for macOS and Windows on top of 0.16.4.
New
- Address a mission message to several members. In the mission composer, type @ at the start and pick a member to add a recipient chip; repeat to choose several. Click a chip to remove it, or press Backspace in an empty draft to remove the last one. Only the recipients get an inbox notification, so the rest of the crew keeps working undisturbed. A message with no recipients still goes to the whole crew, and mentions in the middle of the text stay text. From the CLI, repeat --to or start the message with mentions: runner msg post "@coder, @reviewer: please check the parser." (#826)
- Agents read only new messages. runner msg read now shows only unread inbox messages, followed by a short digest of what other members sent each other. --all shows every crew message since joining, and --since and --from filter the history. Crew members spend less of their context rereading old traffic. (#826)
- Drop files onto a terminal. Drag files from Finder or File Explorer onto a chat pane, a drawer terminal or a mission slot to insert their paths at the prompt, quoted as when you paste files. The terminal highlights while the files are over it and takes focus when you drop them; nothing runs until you press Return. (#898)
Bug fixes
- Mission messages are no longer lost or left unsent. A message to a crew member could be typed into an agent that was still starting up and left sitting unsent in its input, typed into a draft you had left there, or lost when Runner's background service restarted. Runner now keeps each message until the member receives it, confirms that the agent submitted it, and waits while you have an unsent draft. If a message still is not submitted, the mission slot shows "Message not submitted — press Return". Runner's own notices in the mission feed are now labelled System. (#907)
- pi chats show their real title. A pi chat with no name showed a literal "π" as its title, and a named one showed "π - ". Unnamed pi chats now fall back to the role name like other runtimes, and named ones show just the name. (#941)
- Chats keep a symlinked folder's path. On macOS, a chat started in a folder reached through a symbolic link showed the resolved path in its shell prompt and title instead of the path you chose. Agents also see the correct PWD. (#944)

Runner 0.16.4 is a feature release for macOS and Windows on top of 0.16.3.
New
- Runner in English or Simplified Chinese. Choose a language in Settings → General → Language: System (the default, which follows your operating system's preferred language), English, or 简体中文. The change applies right away to every open window, including menus and the command palette, without a restart. Drafts, selections, shortcuts and terminal sessions are kept as they were. Agent output and terminal content are not translated. (#565)
- About Runner on macOS. The Runner menu now has About Runner above Check for Updates…. It opens the standard macOS About panel with Runner's version and build. (#924)
Bug fixes
- Codex mission members keep receiving messages. A Codex member could stop receiving messages after its first turn, including your answer to its question, if Codex switched to a different conversation during that turn or the turn failed without finishing. Runner now treats either case as the end of the turn and delivers the queued messages. (#927, #928)
- Paused missions no longer show an unread dot. The green unread dot is hidden while a mission is paused. It comes back when you resume the mission if responses are still unread. (#920, #923)

Runner 0.16.3 is a bug-fix release for macOS and Windows on top of 0.16.2.
Bug fixes
- Runner reopens after a Windows update. After Install and restart, the updated Runner closed again before showing a window, so the update looked as if it had not restarted the app. Runner now waits for the previous background service to exit before replacing it, and moves aside a runner command that is still running. The same fix applies when the installer's Launch Runner opens a new version while the old background service is still running. (#908, #913, #922)
- Runner says why it cannot start. If Runner cannot start its background service, it records the reason in runner.log and, on Windows, shows it in a Runner could not start dialog instead of closing without a message. (#908, #922)
- The agent update dot clears after you update an agent outside Runner. Opening Usage or Settings → Agents now checks the installed agent CLI versions again, so the dot on the Usage popover's Agent settings gear goes away once every enabled agent is up to date. Its tooltip now reads Agent CLI update available, to set it apart from Runner's own updates. (#914, #919)

New
- Start a mission without a crew. The redesigned Start mission dialog adds No crew: the mission opens empty, and you add roles in place, each with its own task. Members receive the goal, broadcast or message each other directly, and ask you their questions without going through a lead. Messaging turns on once the first member joins. Starting from a crew works as before, and deleting a crew now keeps the missions it started. (#849, #906)
- A start page when nothing is open. Closing or archiving the chat or terminal you are viewing now leaves the window on a start page with New chat, New terminal and New mission, each showing your current shortcut. An empty pane in a split tab offers New chat and New terminal for that pane. (#853, #901)
Bug fixes
- Claude chats in folders with underscores, spaces or non-ASCII names resume after a restart. Runner looked for these chats' saved conversations in the wrong place, so after an update or restart they were not resumed automatically, and Resume opened a blank conversation. Runner now finds them, including folders with very long paths. If a chat already reopened blank, run /resume in it and pick the earlier conversation. (#909, #910)
- Mission messages no longer interrupt a member's first turn. Each member, including a crew's lead, receives messages only after its first turn ends, so a worker's report during the lead's planning turn arrives afterwards instead of being typed into it. (#906)
- Archiving the mission you are viewing returns to the start page. Your saved chat tabs stay, and the Archiving progress pill shows without the Resume / Archive panel flashing up. (#906)
- New chat always opens on Direct chat. It no longer remembers Role chat from last time. Role chat is one click away, with the last focused role still preselected. (#905)
