- Away time: the return prompt ("Ask what I did when I'm back") is now off by default. This update turns it off once for everyone, even if you had turned it on before. Turn it back on in Settings → Away time, and Memory keeps your choice from then on.
- New notifications can appear in the corner of the screen for key events; They are off by default. Turn them on in the new Notifications tab.

- Redesigned Away time and Schedule settings.
- Away time: choose when Memory keeps capturing without input (on a call, in fullscreen, or in apps you pick), the longest absence to ask about, and when to ask.
- Away time: the return prompt shows each absence in order, including time away recorded while the prompt was open. Messages you've typed recently appear as suggestions.
- Fix: brief upload problems no longer show an error.
- [windows] Fix: fixed the main window not opening from the tray or taskbar after using the settings button in the away prompt. Clicking the tray icon now also brings back a minimized window.
- [mac] Fix: automated mouse and keyboard events, for example from an AI agent, no longer end an absence.

- Away time: when you come back after 10 minutes or more away from your computer, Memory asks what you were doing. Pick Break, Lunch or Personal, reuse a recent answer, or type your own, and it's saved as a Memory. Dismiss the prompt and nothing is saved. You can change this or turn it off in the Away time tab.
- On Mac, Memory no longer counts you as away while your microphone is in use, for example during a call.
- Codex activity in the ChatGPT desktop app on Mac is named after the chat again.
- Fixed a rare crash on macOS 26 that removed the menu bar icon and stopped tracking until Memory was restarted.
- Your activity no longer gets stuck waiting to upload, so your timeline catches up faster.
- On Linux (X11), tracking errors now say what went wrong.
