1.7.5Darrera versió 25 d’octubre del 2026 — 64 bits EXE (NSIS)
Notes de la versió
Materializr 1.7.5
Sketching and laser work: fill regions for engraving, rebindable keyboard shortcuts, a Trim that cuts splines, and a round of fixes from tester reports.
Added
- Fill tool for laser engraving: click a closed sketch region to fill it, again to clear it; fills never affect modeling, and SVG/DXF export writes them (optionally in grey) so laser software can treat them separately
- Rebindable keyboard shortcuts: Settings > Navigation lists 18 shortcuts to click and rebind
- Custom polygon sides: any side count from 3 to 128
- Camera glide into a sketch plane (Settings > Navigation > Animate camera moves turns it off)
Changed
- Trim cuts splines and polygon edges instead of removing them whole, splines also act as cutters, and hover previews exactly what a click removes
- Seam lines on round faces are no longer drawn
- Chamfer and Fillet keep your selection and panel after a rejected size, and the stepper gains -0.1, -1 and -10 buttons
- The startup tab no longer carries a stray demo cube
Fixed
- Push/Pull on a whole sketch no longer cuts or raises the entire face behind it
- Deleting circles, arcs and splines works, and deleting from a sketch now updates bodies built from it, including Lathe; undo and redo follow
- Undoing a sketch edit could jump forward through steps just undone
- Typed Extrude and Push/Pull distances are exact; Enter with grid snap on no longer rounds 0.2 to nothing
- Chamfer with a setback exactly equal to the neighbouring face no longer fails
- Scaling a body could close the app on the next autosave
- Edge selection works just outside a silhouette edge, and rim selection of circles works with drawing aids off
1.7.3 10 d’octubre del 2026 — 64 bits EXE (NSIS)
Notes de la versió
Materializr 1.7.3
A smoothness release: fewer freezes, a friendlier touch interface, and a new windowing layer (SDL3) underneath on every platform.
Added
- Drag and drop: drop a project file on the window to open it in its own tab, or drop STEP, IGES, BREP, SVG, DXF, STL and image files to import them
- Deleting a sketch can be undone
Changed
- Opening a project shows a progress bar instead of locking up the window
- Smoother window resizing
Fixed
- Push/Pull on complex sketches no longer freezes, and a large cut that took over five minutes now takes about a second and gives the correct result
- The first click in a sketch no longer freezes the app
- Extrude refuses a near-zero distance instead of building a degenerate solid, and slow Extrude drags no longer stall
- STL export no longer produces cracked meshes where bodies touch or on extruded splines
- Sketch Offset no longer leaves tiny slivers at near-tangent junctions
- Edges hidden behind a nearer face are no longer picked
1.7.2 3 d’octubre del 2026 — 64 bits EXE (NSIS)
Notes de la versió
Materializr 1.7.2
Added
- Move type-in panel: type an exact X / Y / Z offset for the Translate gizmo in your display unit
- The Rotate type-in panel now appears for any body, sketch or sketch plus body, with persistent fields and an Undo for the last Apply
- Optional measurements on selection in sketches (Settings > Sketch): lengths, diameters, radii, arc sweep and a running total
Changed
- History and Lay Flat report axes Z-up, matching the ViewCube
- Interface translations grew from 1192 to 1436 strings in all five languages
Fixed
- Long traced outlines (a single spline with hundreds of control points) no longer freeze Extrude, orbit clicks or project load
- A committed sketch is recovered after a crash
- Much faster meshing of extruded and boolean-trimmed walls: STL export of a lettering-heavy part went from 82 s to 0.1 s
- A valid union is no longer refused with "an operand was lost" on bodies with large B-spline faces
- Error toasts raised after a long operation stay on screen
- Sketch inference follows edges past the first point of a chain, and snap ranges follow the visible grid
- ViewCube phantom click, a duplicate Lathe button, and swapped Y/Z panel colours
Also rolls up 1.7.0 (Assembly Mates, AI Assistant, display units) and 1.7.1 (Items panel drag-and-drop), which were not submitted to winget.
1.6.4 5 de setembre del 2026 — 64 bits EXE (NSIS)
Notes de la versió
Materializr 1.6.4
Added
- Repair tools grouped in one place: Patch (fit a surface across picked edges, optionally tangent or curvature-continuous), Sew (join loose surfaces into a solid and report how many edges are still open), Merge Faces, and Remove Feature (formerly "Repair Geometry" — the old name promised a general fixer and only ever deleted a face and healed the gap)
- Move Face > Rotate can rebuild only the faces that touch the moved one instead of shearing the whole body, so a bore keeps its axis
- Aerofoil import: Selig and Lednicer coordinate files become sketch splines, placed by leading edge, quarter chord or centre
- Offset a sketch chain at a fixed distance, including splines
- Corner guides in sketching (bisector and smooth tangent at a vertex)
- Reference images attach to any construction plane from the plane dialog, with live preview, stepper offset and absolute X/Y/Z rotation
Fixed
- Opening a large project on a modest machine no longer stops answering the desktop: a 52-step project went from 24.4s to 14.6s, with the longest unresponsive stretch down from 24.5s to 1.4s
- Orbit and pan could stay dead for the rest of the session after tilting a face and switching projects
- Recovered in-progress sketches return to the tab they were drawn in; two running copies no longer overwrite each other's draft
- A malformed length in a shared project file could hang the loader and grow without bound; every length-prefixed field is now bounded and over-budget input is refused
- A startup failure with no usable OpenGL driver now reports the reason instead of exiting silently (exit 0xE06D7363 on Windows)
1.6.3 29 d’agost del 2026 — 64 bits EXE (NSIS)
Notes de la versió
Materializr 1.6.3
Fixed
- Windows startup crash: 1.6.1 and 1.6.2 could exit before showing a window; the packaging pipeline now launch-tests the packaged exe so this cannot ship again
- Sketch grid on round faces (a tube or flange top) aligns to the world axes instead of rotating to a keyway flat
Added
- Interface translated into Spanish, Portuguese, French, German and Italian; chosen on first run or in Settings > Appearance, applied instantly
- Arcs take typed dimensions: chord, then a swept angle or a radius
- Drawing guides (angle snap, tangent, perpendicular/parallel) now work in the arc, circle, polygon and spline tools, not just lines
- Tangent guides fire from a point on a circle or the end of an arc; splines can be tangent references
Changed
- Loft tip-split sampling, faces as sections and bridging into the host body; extrude and booleans are time-boxed; STL export welds and repairs the mesh; a union smaller than its largest input is rejected
1.6.0 2 d’agost del 2026 — 64 bits EXE (NSIS)
Notes de la versió
Materializr 1.5.1
Added
- Sketch dimension tool (D or toolbar): measure or drive line lengths, circle diameters, arc radii, point/line distances, angles and gaps; reference by default, driving when you type a value
- Four new thread profiles: trapezoidal (ACME), square, buttress and rounded, plus a fit clearance for 3D-printed bolt+nut pairs
- Polygon tool live radius readout
Fixed
- Parts showing through walls on complex assemblies (depth-tie rendering fix)
- Multi-body move/rotate/scale now reloads as an editable history step
- Fillets drifting after push/pull edits
- Threads cut correctly on unioned bodies and through end chamfers; stepped-rod resize confinement; internal rounded threads keep a smooth bore at any length
- Section view no longer stalls on threaded bodies; thread re-cuts are cancellable
- Malformed BREP files are rejected instantly instead of hanging the importer
1.5.0 19 de juliol del 2026 — 64 bits EXE (NSIS)
Notes de la versió
Materializr 1.5.0 — the biggest feature release since 1.3.0.
Highlights
- File exchange: BREP import/export, OBJ and 3MF export, DXF import/export; IGES axis conversion fixed; projects prefer the shorter .mzr extension
- Reference images: drop a picture into the viewport and model against it
- New modeling ops: Guided Loft, N-section loft, Boundary Fill, and Separate
- Chamfer/fillet rebuilt: corner miters and hips, plus a cut-based fallback for blends the native builder refuses; face-lineage topological naming
- History: extrude remembers its regions, cascade disables steps that can't follow, hovering a step highlights its geometry
- Desktop: Linux HiDPI interface scale, click-drag line tool, movable operation panels
Fixed
- macOS 26.x startup crash; audit hardening (op validity gates, SVG budgets, settings clamping, transactional load); shell and stepped-hole fixes
1.4.2 6 de juliol del 2026 — 64 bits EXE (NSIS)
Notes de la versió
Materializr 1.4.2 — a small patch on 1.4.1.
Fixed
- Mobile keyboard invocation. On touch devices, if you dismissed the on-screen keyboard with the system control while a text field was still focused, tapping the field again wouldn't bring the keyboard back. Re-tapping a focused field now reliably re-raises the keyboard.

1.4.1 6 de juliol del 2026 — 64 bits EXE (NSIS)
Notes de la versió
Materializr 1.4.1 — a polish release: the touch-layout features that didn't quite make 1.4.0, plus a batch of fixes.
im-touch layout catches up
The im-touch (tablet) Items panel now does what Classic and Modern already could:
- Press-and-hold any row for a context menu — rename, delete, and (for bodies) move to a folder.
- Folders. Group bodies with a visible + Folder button on the Bodies header; tap a folder to collapse it, and its eye hides the whole group at once. Folders are shared with the other layouts and saved with the project.
- Colour swatches on body and folder rows — tap for a hue-wheel picker; a folder's colour cascades to its member bodies.
- The redundant project-name row was dropped to reclaim vertical space (it already shows in the top-left chip).
Tidier tool rails
- Split X/Y/Z fold into a single Split flyout, and Linear/Circular into a Pattern flyout — in both the Modern and im-touch rails.
- Modern's draw-origin sub-toggle (Corner/Center) is now a full-width highlighted bar so it reads as part of its tool.
Touch text entry
- Numeric fields now raise the device's native keyboard on focus; the now-redundant on-screen-keyboard toggle was removed from the Modern and Classic top bars.
- Sketch dimension entry on touch got friendlier: a viewport-right field, two-field rectangle (W×H) entry, and line aim/type — and the mid-draw dimension field and confirm bubble sit off to the side so they never cover what you're drawing.
Fixes
- Edit Diameter on a curved face: the field no longer grows without bound or render differently from the rest — it's a stable, fixed-width input now (touch and desktop).
- Reload no longer raises a "frozen feature" warning for benign sketch-only steps.
- Startup dialogs now take turns, fixing an iPad second-launch lockup.
- Android quick-save writes the real document again (Save As keeps its own name).
- Sketch: a rim point can no longer dissolve a circle's loop; circle radius snaps to the grid; and far-off arc centres no longer blow out the camera framing.

1.4.0 5 de juliol del 2026 — 64 bits EXE (NSIS)
Notes de la versió
Materializr 1.4.0 — the biggest release yet: smarter edits, an iPad-ready codebase, and onboarding that meets you where you are.
Highlights
Edits that survive. Materializr now tracks which faces and edges your features were built on, not just where they were. Fillets and chamfers placed on boolean seam edges follow the model through upstream edits; push/pull face targets survive sketch changes; and every operation type — including plane/axis moves, lofts, sweeps, mirrors, splits, copies and aligns — reloads from a saved project fully editable. Open an old project, change step 1, and the whole history replays.
Threads, fast. Thread creation was rebuilt on a swept-profile engine: what took minutes (and a screaming fan) on a 14×70 mm rod now takes about a fifth of a second. Long rods, tapers and holes all keep their existing quality; recomputes happen off the UI thread so cascading edits never freeze the app.
Choose your workspace. First launch now opens with a layout picker — Classic, Modern, or im-touch — with a live preview: tap an option and the whole app switches behind the dialog. The Getting Started tour then teaches the app in the layout you picked, pointing at the actual buttons on your screen.
Chromebook & Intel tablet support. The Play Store build now ships x86_64 alongside arm64.
iPad. The codebase now builds for iOS/iPadOS (App Store review in progress), including a tip-jar Supporter option. The same Supporter state is honored across platforms.
Sketching
- Symmetry inference now suggests the mirror and point-reflection of your previous point through the last placed point — the suggestions you actually want mid-drawing — instead of degenerate bounding-box mirrors.
- Hover-to-charge alignment guides no longer latch onto references you never hovered (drive-by charging at coarse grids is gone, and out-of-plane geometry no longer projects invisible snap magnets into your sketch).
- Undo while drawing a spline removes one point at a time, like lines.
- Face, edge and vertex selections now show full measurement readouts (area, radius, length, sweep, centre…), with totals across multi-selections.
- The Measure tool lives in the View menu in every layout.
SVG round trip
- Exported sketches now write connected loops as single closed paths, true <circle> elements and real arc commands — and re-import recovers native circles, splines and shared-corner line loops instead of duplicated fragments that never closed.
- Hairline strokes (laser/CAM cut-line convention) import as the curve itself rather than a ribbon outline.
Modern layout
- Drag the tool rail wider and it reflows into a two-column grid — half the scrolling on tablets.
- Copy/Mirror/Duplicate group under Transform; Linear/Circular under Pattern; inference level moved to the top bar.
- Panel fold chevrons now appear reliably on cold start; Properties gets more room and History scrolls.
Fixes & platform
- macOS: app no longer aborts on launch on newer macOS (SDL2 rebuild) — #12.
- Frozen-step warnings on reload are gone for new saves (every op serializes now), and the warning text is honest about the cause.
- Welcome screen sequencing: first launch is the tour's moment; the welcome begins on the next launch.
- Licensing: GPLv3 with section-7 additional permissions (app-store distribution, platform SDKs) — see LICENSE-EXCEPTIONS.md. Privacy policy added.

1.3.0 3 de juliol del 2026 — 64 bits EXE (NSIS)
Notes de la versió
The stable 1.3.0 release — the rollup of the beta.1–11 line plus a final crisp-on-Windows fix. Desktop (Linux AppImage / macOS .dmg / Windows) attach automatically; the Android APK is uploaded right after.
What's new since 1.2.8
- Unfold / flatten to 2D cut patterns. Lay a 3D body flat into a developable net and export it as SVG or tiled PDF — live page-break preview, magenta registration crosses in the overlaps for precise multi-sheet assembly, rotate / auto-fit, and a conformal mode for double-curved shells. Solid → laser cutter, vinyl, or paper template.
- STL import. Bring in a mesh (accuracy slider, wireframe toggle) and sketch on its flat faces.
- Twist Face and direct face editing — spin a face about its normal to spiral the walls, alongside taper and scale-face.
- Interactive Mirror — place and rotate a mirror line and mirror points, lines, circles, arcs and splines with coincident welding.
- Navigation that tracks 1:1 — pan, push/pull, extrude and scale-face drags move exactly with the cursor at any zoom, and orbit spins around the object (pivot re-anchors onto the geometry at the view centre).
- Crisp UI on scaled Windows displays — now per-monitor DPI-aware, so 125–200% scaling renders at native resolution instead of a blurry upscale.
- Smarter sketch snapping — onto the host body's adjacent-face edges and along in-plane hole rims / fillet arcs; grid-relative snap bands; post-draw resize of lines, rects and arcs by exact dimension.
- Opt-in beta channel — a Settings toggle to get pre-release builds early.
- A broad stability & performance pass — multi-instance crash-recovery fix, GPU-cached rendering, backend audit — smoother on complex models and tablets.
