Oʻzgarishlar roʻyxati
As the nights draw in and the weather gets decidedly colder, there's no better time to hunker down with a hot drink and a freshly modded game. We’ve packed Vortex 2.10 with a brilliant batch of updates, including a massive beta test for a completely redesigned Mods table!
Here is a quick look at what’s new.
🎮 Your Installed Games, Front and Centre
We are incredibly excited about this one as it’s easily one of the biggest features we’re shipping all year!
When you head to the Games page, Vortex will now automatically detect and display the supported games you already have installed on your PC, complete with their store labels (Steam, GOG, Epic). The best part? It now shows them before you've even installed the support extensions for them. This takes all the faff out of getting started, bringing your games front-and-centre and making getting started modding smoother than it ever has been.
🧪 Try the New Mods Table (Beta)
We are thrilled to introduce a brand-new Mods table! You can easily toggle it on via the Mods toolbar to give it a spin (and switch back at any time if you prefer the classic look). This revamped layout lets you create custom views, choose your columns (like Version and Mod Size), the ability to hover on mod thumbnails to view details, pin your most used actions for quick access, group mods by Collection or category and a whole lot more for you to discover! Give it a try and let us know what you think using the feedback button on the toolbar!
image
✨ 'Apply' Instead of 'Deploy'
We've streamlined how Vortex talks about your files: 'Deploy' is out, and 'Apply' is in! You'll now see a shiny new Apply button right next to your Play button to handle any pending changes. Don't worry though, if you ever need to force an update manually, the trusty old toolbar button is still exactly where you left it (just renamed to 'Apply'). You can also easily toggle auto-apply on and off directly from the Mods toolbar. Over on the Games page, titles you own will now appear under 'detected games' complete with their store labels (Steam, GOG, Epic) even before you've installed support for them. Finally, games with multiple load orders now get neat, dedicated tabs for each!
📦 Smoother Collections & Mod Updates
Because Collections are built around very specific mod versions, updating those mods can sometimes break things. Vortex will now helpfully warn you before you update a mod that belongs to a Collection, and the "Update all" function can automatically skip them for you. We've also eliminated the stuttering when downloading and installing massive Collections, and brought back the 'Link Collection' button for our curators. Behind the scenes, deployments are significantly more reliable, and the External Changes dialogue will now keep your mod files safe by default.
🐧 Future Support for Linux
We still don't officially support Linux, but thanks to our amazing community contributors, the unofficial experience continues to get better! In this update, 'Download with Mod Manager' buttons on the website will now work seamlessly, mods with Windows-made installers (like those for Cyberpunk 2077) will install correctly, and Vortex can finally manage games installed on completely separate drives.

2.9.1 27-oktabr, 2026 — 64 bitli EXE (NSIS)

Changed
- Restored the Manual apply (Deploy) button in the Mods page toolbar (#24654)
Fixed
- Create support bundles as zip so they can go on GitHub issues (#24660)
2.9.0 19-oktabr, 2026 — 64 bitli EXE (NSIS)
Oʻzgarishlar roʻyxati
We've been waiting an eternity, but the release of Grand Theft Auto VI is almost here, but while we all prepare to lose hundreds of hours in the new sandbox, why not pass the time by checking out a brilliant new Vortex update? Vortex 2.9 is packed with highly requested UI tweaks, smarter health checks, and even some changes for our Linux players.
Here is a quick look at what’s new!
🔍 Zoom In & Apply Changes
Ever needed to squint at your load order? You can now zoom the Vortex interface in or out (from 50% all the way up to 150%) using standard keyboard shortcuts (CTRL and +/- or CTRL and Mouse Wheel on PC, CMD and +/- on Mac) or via the new Accessibility settings menu, which is also where our 'Reduce motion' toggle now proudly lives.
We've also added a handy Apply button right next to the Play button. Whenever you have changes to deploy, it turns into a progress bar so you can see exactly what Vortex is doing and your game will wait to launch until it's finished.
🩺 Smarter Health Checks
Health check warnings and suggestions are now separated and each have their own 'Install all' and 'Hide all' buttons. Crucially, if a suggested mod has author notes, you’ll now be notified with a list to view them all so you don’t miss a thing when mass installing, ensuring you don't miss any vital instructions. Health checks will also keep running in the background after you install a Collection, meaning any missing master files are flagged instantly without needing an app restart.
🛠️ Better Bethesda Sorting
We've given LOOT sorting a proper polish! It's significantly more reliable, won't awkwardly try to run in the middle of a deployment, and if something does go wrong, Vortex will tell you exactly why in plain English. Collections will now properly enable the plugins they ship (banishing that stubborn 'Missing Masters' warning), and changing a plugin's light flag whilst your game is open will just ask you to close the game first rather than throwing a scary error.
🐧 Future Support for Linux
We’re continuing to work hard toward an official Linux release and will bring it to you as soon as we can. For now, this update lays some important groundwork: Improved game detection, fixes for permission errors, and early support for Bethesda plugin management for those tinkering on the platform.
🐛 Spot a Bug? Let Us Know!
We’ve done a lot of bug-squishing in this update, but if you happen to spot a wild one that managed to escape, please let us know! You can report any pesky issues over on GitHub (just remember to attach your Vortex log file so our dev team can figure out exactly what went wrong).
Got a burning question, some general feedback, or just want to chat about the latest tweaks? Come hang out with us in the Vortex channel on the official Nexus Mods Discord.

2.6.0 24-avgust, 2026 — 64 bitli EXE (NSIS)
Oʻzgarishlar roʻyxati
With 2.6, we’re excited to bring you Vortex’s biggest feature yet: Health Check! Whether you're gearing up for a cosy weekend of gaming or meticulously fine-tuning a brand new load order, we've got a brilliant new update to keep things running smoothly.
Here is a quick look at what’s new!
🩺 New Feature: Health Check
Say goodbye to the guessing game of broken loadouts! We’ve introduced Health Check, a brilliant new tool that acts as your personal mod detective. By tapping into the new file-level requirements on Nexus Mods, Vortex will now give you a handy heads-up before you launch if a required file is completely missing, the wrong version, or simply sitting inactive. It even gives you the option to select the right mod for your personal setup to fix the issue. Plus, if you're a Premium user, you can resolve those missing dependencies with a quick one-click install without ever leaving the app.
image (7)
Results update automatically as you enable, remove, or download mods. "Either/Or" mod requirements finally behave themselves, showing the correct action if you already have an alternative downloaded or disabled. Plus, if you're logged out or we're experiencing a service outage, Vortex will actually tell you what's wrong instead of pretending everything’s normal. Oh, and expect far fewer pop-ups when installing fixes!
✨ A Polished, Smarter Interface
We’ve given the interface a proper polish! Tooltips now reposition themselves so they never wander off-screen. If your Vortex window is a bit narrow, toolbar controls will tuck themselves into an overflow menu instead of vanishing into the void. We’ve also redesigned the Extensions page, added a handy one-click 'clear' button to Games search, and ensured dropdown menus no longer awkwardly hide behind the sidebar.
📦 Bigger, Better Collections
For the mod curators out there, our new upload API now supports significantly larger Collection bundles, and upload progress will actually reach 100% instead of stalling right at the finish line. We’ve also fixed a nasty memory crash loop when updating massive Collections with thousands of mods, and stopped the endless error pop-ups when browsing Collections whilst logged out.
⚙️ Under the Hood: React 18
Behind the scenes, we've completely upgraded the underlying framework that powers Vortex to React 18. This massive milestone touches every single screen in the app and paves the way for some brilliant UI updates in the future!
🐛 Spot a Bug? Let Us Know!

2.5.0 10-avgust, 2026 — 64 bitli EXE (NSIS)
Oʻzgarishlar roʻyxati
Whether you’re meticulously assembling a gargantuan 1,000-plugin load order or just jumping in for a quick gaming session, we’ve got a slick new update to keep Vortex running smoother and faster than ever. Here is a quick look at what’s new in 2.5!
🩺 Health Checks & External Mods
Mods that require files from outside Nexus Mods are no longer a headache. They now get their own "External mod install" flow with a handy link straight to the source.
We’ve also added a clever coloured dot to the Health check menu; blue for suggestions and yellow for warnings, so you can spot the most severe problems at a glance. Finally, the requirement detail pages have a sleek new card-based look, and we’ve squashed a bunch of bugs causing stale data, missing thumbnails, and incorrect file names.
✨ A Fresh, Faster UI
You’ll notice that a few pages have been redesigned! We’ve started with the Settings and Preferences menu, which now have a tidy new tab layout (and your per-game preferences are now simply called "Game settings"). Keep an eye out for more UI changes across the app with each release.
We've rebuilt the Games page from the ground up on our new design system, modernised the category manager to make sorting your subcategories a total breeze, and updated the navigation icons across the sidebar. We've also decluttered your dashboard by clearing out the announcement and mod spotlight tiles.
🚀 Performance & Polish
Got an absolute mountain of mods? We’ve fixed a nasty memory leak that could crash Vortex during massive installs, and the load order page is now significantly faster, meaning moving 1000+ plugins is actually smooth again!
Tabs now work properly across all non-English languages, the plugin group editor arrows now all point in a logical direction, and we’ve made sure blurred adult content images stay recognisable instead of shrinking into invisible smears on wide screens.

Oʻzgarishlar roʻyxati
Fixed

2.0.2 19-may, 2026 — 64 bitli EXE (NSIS)
Oʻzgarishlar roʻyxati
Changed
- nexus-api now refreshes the OAuth access token proactively when within 30s of expiry; concurrent refreshes coalesce into a single /oauth/token call, with the 401-driven fallback retained for clock skew and server-side revocation (23178)
- Notifications with actions now persist until the user acts on or dismisses them, matching the documented INotification contract (both classic and modern UI) (23226)
- Modern UI notification popover now auto-opens for notifications dispatched during startup (23226)
- Extension install failures now surface the underlying 7z error text instead of the generic "needs to include index.js and info.json on top-level" message (23209)
- Added diagnostic logging in the External Changes path to help triage spurious ECD reports (23208)
- Removed last traces of electron/remote from bundled plugins (23131)
Fixed
- Missing or failed-to-load extension dependencies left games un-manageable; the install, profile-management, notifications, and modtype-enb paths were all hardened against this state (23226)
- "Game not discovered" dialog incorrectly shown on --game restart/relaunch while async discovery was still in flight (23210)
- Tracked-mods fetch crashing when the Nexus client lacked OAuth configuration (23173)
- Main-process access violation when destroying a BrowserWindow with the mouse over it; added synchronous renderer diagnostics that survive teardown crashes (23179)
- Old "Tools" dashlet appeared in the modern UI and was missing from the classic UI (23166)
- Notification "suppress" action icon was a cog/gear, which read as "settings" rather than "suppress" (23152)
- profile-did-change crash when the active game's discovery folder had just been cleared by the startup discovery pass (23144)
- Auto-updater spuriously logging downloadUpdate errors on every launch when already on the latest version (23132)
- Conflict Editor "Before All" / "After All" silently doing nothing when a filter was applied to the source mod name (23136)
- "Not yet initialized" log line caused by startup.json being read before ApplicationData.init() resolved (23130)
- Improved scrollbar visibility for the table component (23125)

- Theme cloning is blocked while the source theme has validation issues (#23068)

- More detail captured when a Nexus API request fails (#23101)
Fixed
- "Deployment interrupted" failure when symlink deployment required elevation (#23107)
- nxm:// links not being captured by Vortex after 2.0.0 (#23107)

- "NXM handler registered" notification appearing on every startup (#23026)
- Baldur's Gate 3 "pak read failed" error spam on load-order changes (#23022)
- Renderer bootloop after an outdated extension was queued for removal (#23048)
- Stardew Valley hardlink deployment failing with a self-copy error (#23055)
- Crash while loading extensions when a stale install or backup folder was present (#23063)
- Collection plugin-rules toggles shown for games without plugins (#23018)
- Awkward line breaks in game-name tooltips in the new UI (#23019)
