Boot Analyzer now says when Windows' boot history could not be read. It used to report "no boots recorded
yet" instead, and one kind of read error could keep it busy at full speed until you pressed Cancel.
Fixed
- Boot Analyzer: a read error no longer spins. A failed read was retried with no limit, and the loop only
counted events that came back. So an error that repeats kept a processor core busy, with the tab stuck on
"Reading boot performance history…", until Cancel. One such error is common: this log is small and wraps, and
when it rolls over or is cleared during a read, every later read fails the same way. A read now gives up after
three failures in a row and keeps whatever it had already read. Cancelling now reports "Cancelled." instead of
showing a part-read history as if it were complete. Present since the tab was added in v1.33.0.
- Boot Analyzer: "No boot performance events found yet" now means Windows returned none. A log that could
not be opened or read gave the same answer as an empty one. When elevated, the tab now says the history could
not be read, and a refresh that fails keeps what was already shown. When the slow-component list alone fails,
the boots still show, and the status says the list could not be read. Present since v1.33.0.

Code signing is planned through the SignPath Foundation,
which provides free certificates to open-source projects, with signing performed by
SignPath.io. Until then, the SHA256 above and the build
attestation below are what establish that a download is the genuine build.
Code signing policy
This release is not code-signed. The team roles, release-approval process and
privacy policy required by the SignPath Foundation programme
are documented in advance under Code signing
policy. That
documentation is a prerequisite for applying, not evidence of a certificate. The
attribution line naming SignPath as the signing provider will appear here once a
certificate is actually issued.
This program will not transfer any information to other networked systems unless
specifically requested by the user or the person installing or operating it. Full
privacy policy.
Verify where this binary came from
This exe was built by GitHub Actions from this public source, and the build is
recorded in the Sigstore public transparency log. With the
GitHub CLI:

That proves which commit and workflow produced this exact binary, something the
SHA256 file cannot show, since it is published alongside the exe it describes.
Each release also ships SysManager-v1.114.16.sbom.json, a CycloneDX inventory of
every dependency resolved for this build.
