- Added a "Sources" header to the Files source picker to clarify session sources
- Improved the layout of elicitation choice prompts, aligning option labels and cleaning up redundant headings.
- Large sessions resume even faster by asking for a small bounded slice of recent history instead of reading the whole transcript from disk.
- Opening an existing priority now shows a read-only details view with an Edit button, instead of opening straight into the edit form.
- Removed the Goal status pill from the session utilities rail; Goal status remains available in the composer.
- Reorganized the right panel's add-tab menu, grouping Markdown editor and Insights under a new More submenu below Canvas and removing extra dividers.
- Screenshot annotations are now enabled by default after capturing a browser region.
- Session artifacts in the right rail now show file-type-specific icons (e.g. image thumbnails) matching the Files tab, instead of a generic file icon.
- Sessions created from projects and standalone work now use one shared session creation and navigation experience for everyone.
- Simplified the Accounts settings page into a single Connected accounts list with one Add account menu for GitHub.com, Enterprise Cloud, and Enterprise Server.
- The github open <directory> command now switches to your most recently active session for that project or worktree instead of always opening a new one. Use github open --new <directory> to open a fresh session.
- The macOS Dock icon's right-click menu now always shows sessions needing input, unread sessions, and recently used sessions—no need to enable it in Settings.
- The plan view no longer shows the read/source toggle when a plan has only to-do items and no plan text to edit.
- Wide tables in the conversation are now constrained to the column width by default; expand them anytime with the Expand tables command.

Fixed
- Agent activity rows now show readable labels instead of raw agent IDs.
- Detaching or archiving a coordinated session no longer sends stale automatic notifications to its former parent session.
- Fixed a bug where a session that couldn't be reloaded would get stuck on a "Resuming session…" spinner instead of showing the recovery banner with a Retry button.
- Fixed an issue on Windows where the app could reopen in a borderless fullscreen state with no way to return to the normal window.
- Fixed an issue where agents could not use a provider's own CLI (such as az repos pr create) to open pull requests for non-GitHub repositories when explicitly asked to.
- Fixed an issue where automatic retries after a failed conversation resume would hide the recovery message and Retry button.

- Quick Open no longer shows a destination picker when there's only one place to open the repository.
- Retrying a failed canvas extension check no longer shifts the layout of the Installed extensions list.
- Session mentions in the composer and chat now show consistent icons and live status indicators, matching their appearance in the sidebar.
- The Dim color variant in Settings → Themes is now only offered for GitHub Dark, so it can no longer be applied to GitHub Light or an external palette where it doesn't render correctly.
- The sidebar now scrolls the active workspace or chat session into view when you navigate to it.
- Tool calls no longer jump around or collapse into a group while a response is still streaming; they stay in place until the response finishes.
