Timer Resolution keeps its finer timer while a game covers SysManager on Windows 11, and the tab says which
programs a finer timer reaches.
Fixed
- On Windows 11 the finer timer could lapse exactly while the game it was for was running. Windows 11 stops
honoring a timer request from a program whose windows are hidden, minimized or covered, which is SysManager's
state for as long as a full-screen game runs or while it sits in the notification area, and the tab measured the
timer only while it was in front. Turning the timer on now first asks Windows to keep honoring SysManager's
request while it is out of view, and restoring the default gives that choice back to Windows. Game mode's timer
step does the same. Since 1.35.0.
- The tab promised lower input latency in every game. Since Windows 10 version 2004 a finer timer reaches only
programs that ask Windows for a fine timer themselves, as many games do, which then get the finest timer any
program asked for. The tab's description, and the README for it and for game mode, now say so. Since 1.35.0.

Verify where this binary came from
This exe was built by GitHub Actions from this public source, and the build is
recorded in the Sigstore public transparency log. With the
GitHub CLI:

That proves which commit and workflow produced this exact binary, something the
SHA256 file cannot show, since it is published alongside the exe it describes.
