Note di rilascio

[1.112.5] - 2026-09-22
Five copies of the same directory walk, and two safety rules that only lived in one of them. Every part
of the app that deletes files — Deep Cleanup, Quick Cleanup, the temp sweep, Browser Cleaner, Shortcut
Cleaner, File Shredder — walked folders with its own hand-copied loop. Each copy had a comment saying it
mirrored the others, and two rules had since been added to one and not the rest. They are now one walk, so a
rule added to it is a rule every one of them gets.
Fixed
- Deep Cleanup stripped a file's Hidden and System attributes when it could not delete it. Clearing
attributes before a delete is correct, but it was clearing all of them rather than the one that blocks a
delete, and the file it failed on then stayed on disk without them. Explorer's thumbnail and icon caches
are hidden system files that Explorer holds open, so the bucket that cleans them did this on every run.
- One unreadable entry could end the whole temp clean. A folder listing can fail part-way through
rather than at the start, and the temp sweep let that stop it entirely — silently, reporting the space it
had freed up to that point as a finished clean. %TEMP% is the busiest folder on a Windows machine, with
other programs creating and deleting files in it while the sweep runs, which is exactly when a file stops
being readable between being listed and being opened. A folder that fails now costs that folder, not the
rest of the drive.
- A shortcut to a file, inside a folder being cleaned, was counted as its target's size. Windows lets
a file be a link to another file, and deleting the link never touches what it points at — so the space
reported as reclaimable included bytes no delete could free. Links are now left alone by every cleaner,
which is what File Shredder already did.
Changed
- The reparse-point, exclusion, cancellation and enumerator rules live in one place. Five walkers and
four copies of the same "is this a link?" test became one SafeFileWalk, and a test now fails the build
if a service grows its own tree walk again. Three read-only scanners (Disk Analyzer, Duplicate Finder,
Large Files) keep theirs for now, because they report progress per folder — they are a named, asserted
exemption rather than an oversight.
- Deep Cleanup and the temp sweep are slightly faster. The old copies asked Windows for each
subdirectory's attributes a second time to test it; the shared walk reads them from the listing the OS
already returned.
Verify the download

This build is not code-signed, so Windows will warn on first launch. That is
expected for a small independent app: see what the warning says and what to
click.
Code signing is planned through the SignPath Foundation,
which provides free certificates to open-source projects, with signing performed by
SignPath.io. Until then, the SHA256 above and the build
attestation below are what establish that a download is the genuine build.
Code signing policy
This release is not code-signed. The team roles, release-approval process and
privacy policy required by the SignPath Foundation programme
are documented in advance under Code signing
policy. That
documentation is a prerequisite for applying, not evidence of a certificate. The
attribution line naming SignPath as the signing provider will appear here once a
certificate is actually issued.
This program will not transfer any information to other networked systems unless
specifically requested by the user or the person installing or operating it. Full
privacy policy.
Verify where this binary came from
This exe was built by GitHub Actions from this public source, and the build is
recorded in the Sigstore public transparency log. With the
GitHub CLI:
gh attestation verify .\SysManager-v1.112.5.exe --repo laurentiu021/SystemManager
That proves which commit and workflow produced this exact binary, something the
SHA256 file cannot show, since it is published alongside the exe it describes.
Each release also ships SysManager-v1.112.5.sbom.json, a CycloneDX inventory of
every dependency resolved for this build.
