GoLand 2025.2 EAP 6 is now available!
This build brings several improvements to the new non-blocking Welcome screen:
- GO-18676, GO-18642: GoLand reopens the last active project when you restart the IDE. On macOS, closing the project returns you to the Welcome screen instead of exiting the IDE.

GoLand 2025.2 EAP 5 is now available!
This build improves the Vulnerable Dependencies feature and makes it easier to discover and act on security issues in Go projects.
- GO-18104: GoLand now highlights imports from packages with known security issues not only in go.mod files, but also in regular Go files. The vulnerable dependencies feature is now limited to Go projects only.
This update also includes several UI and UX improvements.

GoLand 2025.2 EAP 4 is now available!
This build brings the next improvement in our ongoing effort to make it easier to identify potential nil dereference issues.
- GO-18705: when you use the Explain potential nil dereference quick-fix, GoLand now opens the Problems tool window with a new Go DFA tab. This tab shows the full path that leads to the potential dereference.
The new view highlights where the nil value comes from and how it moves through the code until it is used.

GoLand 2025.2 EAP 3 is now available!
This GoLand release introduces UI/UX enhancements and bug fixes:
- GO-18129: the Welcome screen is now non-blocking and opens as a tab, allowing you to quickly access built-in tools like the terminal, Docker, Kubernetes, VCS, and databases without creating a project. We hope this change will improve workflows for DevOps and infrastructure tasks.
- GO-18068: fixed an issue where handlers from standard and third-party HTTP routers were not appearing in the Endpoints tool window.

GoLand 2025.2 EAP 2 is now available!
This GoLand release introduces enhancements to static analysis for Go code:
- GO-17763: GoLand now includes a new inspection that detects potential nil dereference issues using interprocedural data flow analysis. The Interprocedural potential nil dereference inspection identifies possible nil dereferences across function calls, even when those calls span multiple files or packages. It analyzes the entire call graph, with some limitations.
To further aid our users in identifying unsafe pointer operations, we have also added a Nilability info section to the Quick Documentation popup. This section appears for functions with pointer-type parameters or those that might return nil.

GoLand 2025.2 EAP 1 is now available!
This GoLand release introduces new functionality and improvements:
- GO-2265: GoLand now supports the Duplicate code inspection for Go functions. This inspection identifies repeated logic across your codebase, helping you refactor and keep your code clean.
- GO-17536: GoLand now displays helpful gutter icons in go.mod and Go files to simplify setting up database connections. These icons appear next to known database packages like jackc/pgx or go-sql-driver/mysql, letting you open the database connection dialog with a single click.
- GO-15446: a new intention action in go.mod lets you merge consecutive require or replace statements into a single block. This works just like the Merge declaration up intention action in Go source files for var and const.
- GO-7024: GoLand now offers code completion for Go constants by their values. For example, typing http.204 or http.Status204 will suggest http.StatusNoContent. This makes it easier to find and use symbolic constant names when only the numeric value is known.
- GO-10293: GoLand now uses goimports-style import grouping by default.

This GoLand release introduces new functionality and improvements:
- GO-17588: GoLand now bundles the Go Linter plugin, allowing you to configure and run golangci-lint directly within the IDE. To configure linters, open the settings and navigate to Go | Linters. Learn more in our documentation.

GoLand 2025.1 EAP 4 is now available!
This GoLand release addresses the following issue:
- GO-13698: When renaming a struct field, GoLand now updates the corresponding struct tag automatically. Previously, renaming a field did not update the associated JSON tag.

GoLand 2025.1 EAP 3 is now available!
This GoLand release addresses several key issues:
- GO-15841: Notifications and handling for the toolchain directive have been improved. GoLand now shows a notification when the project's SDK is changed due to go or toolchain directives in go.mod. Additionally, the codebase now handles this directive more reliably.
- GO-17509: GoLand no longer includes the deprecated -d flag when running go get, avoiding the -d flag is deprecated. -d=true is a no-op message in the Run tool window.
- GO-17970: GoLand now properly recognizes the tool directive in go.mod files for Go 1.24 and higher, and it displays relevant errors, such as when the directive is unsupported by the current Go SDK.

- GO-17728: fixed a problem with go list -m json all running repeatedly in the background when GOTOOLCHAIN is configured.
- GO-16904: fixed generation of incorrect method signatures for interfaces with unexported custom types.
