This patch release addresses an issue where the Bria client was mistakenly detected as suspicious software by some virus scanners.

Updated API certificate for Bria Desktop API integration
The version 6.8.7.1 includes an updated API certificate used for Desktop API integration. This certificate will expire on January 8, 2027.

Known issues
The cursor visibility issue on Bria Mac Version 6.8.6
On devices using macOS 26 Tahoe, the cursor disappears once the user starts typing in a field, such as the call field and the search contacts field. This does not affect typing itself but it's inconvenient to lose track of the cursor. We are working on fixing this issue.
Video call issues
If the remote party tries to add video to an audio call on your Team Voice account, the call is dropped. If the caller tries to add video to an audio call, the call remains as an audio call. In order to use video, place the call as a video call.

This version officially supports Windows 11 version 25H2.
macOS 26 support
This version officially supports macOS 26 (Tahoe). With this change, macOS 13 is no longer an officially supported OS for Bria.
Improvements on Outlook contact loading
Improvements have been added for better user experience for users with 2000+ Outlook contacts.
Resolved issues
- The known issue in the previous version (6.8.4) has been resolved: A chatroom page on the Mac client now properly shows the topic field.

Video call issues
If the remote party tries to add video to an audio call on your Team Voice account, the call is dropped. If the caller tries to add video to an audio call, the call remains as an audio call. In order to use video, place the call as a video call.

Resolved issues
- A various improvements have been made for localization.
- Fixed an error with receiving SIP messages after the SIP account is disabled then re-enabled.
- Fixed an issue with Google contact integration where updating a group name in Google did not update Bria.

Known issues
Video rendering issue
When you resize a video window, you might experience issues with incoming video, such as displaying incorrectly or corrupted. It has been observed on laptops that have both Intel HD Graphics 520 and Nvidia GeForce 940MX, and we are working on resolving the issue. In the meantime, go to Preferences > Devices > Other Devices and change Video Render Mode to DirectX 9.

Volume for Audio Output
We have recently changed how Bria Windows controls the volume for audio output. When you change the volume within Bria Windows, it now directly changes the device audio volume at the system level. This aligns with how similar UC apps control the volume.
We are aware that Bria 6.7.3 has an issue related to this change where when the user mutes Bria Windows, it mutes the whole computer, not just Bria Windows. We are working on solving this issue.
