This major release introduces JetBrains Air – a new layer for agentic development that lets you run, track, and verify multi-agent workflows inside your IDE. Alongside Air, version 2026.3 delivers major updates across workspace tooling, Python 3.15 support, and core frameworks:
- JetBrains Air: Run ACP-compatible agents, track sessions across repositories, and review diffs in context – featuring free agentic coding with Junie Lite.
- Workspace support: Dedicated consoles and terminals per subproject running against isolated dependencies, plus quick creation or conversion of workspace members initialized with uv, Hatch, or Poetry.
- Python 3.15 lazy imports: Defer module loading to cut startup times in applications with heavy dependencies while retaining full code insight.
- FastAPI support (Pro): Visualize endpoint dependencies with interactive graphs that mark yield/return calls and detect circular dependencies.
- Redesigned Python interpreter widget: Access and recreate environments organized around the tools that manage them (uv, Poetry, Hatch, and conda).
- Deeper Pydantic support: Field constraint checks in the editor, direct navigation from @field_validator, and code completion for model configuration options.
