Notas de la versión
The Windows binaries no longer need the Visual C++ runtime: ff-rdp.exe links the C runtime statically, so the zip, Scoop and winget installs start on a clean Windows. navigate no longer times out on slow pages by default, a11y summary and the home view list only elements you can see, and a Firefox started by ff-rdp launch opens without a first-run dialog or an extra tab.
Changed
- navigate waits with --wait auto by default. It still waits for the page to finish loading, but once the page has been interactive for 3 seconds without finishing (or the timeout runs out while it is interactive), it returns ready_state: "interactive" instead of failing with a timeout. A heavy page under --throttle slow-3g used to time out at any --timeout. --wait complete keeps the old strict wait. --wait-text and --wait-selector run after this wait, so by default they may start on an interactive page. (#359)
- a11y summary, the bare ff-rdp home view and --with-page list only visible elements. Elements hidden with display:none, visibility:hidden or content-visibility:hidden are left out and get no ref, including headings and landmarks. Elements with opacity:0 or aria-hidden are still listed, because they can still be clicked. snapshot and dom still show hidden elements. (#357)
Fixed
- Windows: no Visual C++ runtime needed. ff-rdp.exe in the release zips no longer imports VCRUNTIME140.dll or the api-ms-win-crt-* DLLs. Without the Visual C++ Redistributable, 0.4.1 to 0.4.3 could not start (exit code 0xC0000135, DLL not found). cargo install ff-rdp-cli builds still link the runtime dynamically. (#356)
- navigate --wait interactive no longer times out on throttled pages. Firefox sometimes never delivers the "interactive" event for a slow page; ff-rdp now also reads the page's ready state directly. (#359)
- ff-rdp launch opens Firefox without the Terms of Use dialog, also for a --profile that has never accepted it. Telemetry upload stays off unless your own user.js turns it on. (#358)
- launch --auto-consent no longer leaves a Consent-O-Matic options tab open. On the extension's first run, launch waits up to 10 seconds until that tab is closed. (#358)
- ff-rdp stop can stop a Firefox started with launch --profile. It removes only ff-rdp's own record of that launch, never your profile directory. (#358)
Internal
The release pipeline moves to ractive/release-workflows v0.3.2. Its winget job runs komac 2.16.0, so the winget manifest keeps PortableCommandAlias. A live test now accepts Firefox 159's handling of a repeated const declaration under eval --no-isolate (#360).
