Behavior Changes
* `/g line[,column]` (same as `-g line[,column]`) command line switch is changed to case sensitive (contributed by @lifenjoiner in PR #1305):
* `/G line[,column[,tabwidth]]`: treat tab character as variable columns up to tab width (i.e. tab expansion), other character as single column. when `tabwidth` is zero or omitted use default document tab width.
* `/g line[,column[,type]]`: no tab expansion, treat each character (when `type` is zero or omitted) or byte (when `type` is one) as single column. This matches Visual Studio and many others application where column is just character without tab expansion.
* When `column` is negative: no tab expansion, treat each character as single column. negative column on "Goto" dialog is treated the same.
* Style configuration for JavaScript inside HTML is moved into standalone JavaScript scheme (same as PHP).

Behavior Changes
* Escape/unescape HTML/XML characters no longer map space (U+0020) to ` ` (U+00A0), tab (U+0009) to ` ` (U+2003) and vice versa, as they are not equivalent.
* Hex to character now strict on hexadecimal digits, only following forms (all treated as UTF-16/UTF-32 code point) with exact number of digits as `H` are supported: `\xHH`, `\xHHHH`, `\uHHHH`, `\UHHHHHHHH`, `U+HHHH` and `U+HHHHHH`.
* Transform backslash now strict on hexadecimal digits, see table below.

Expression Evaluation
Expression (can be arbitrary JavaScript code) evaluation is provided by system's JavaScript engine (Chakra or JScript), `Math.` prefix can be omitted when using menu "Tools -> Action on Selection -> Calculate Expression", e.g. `exp(PI*sqrt(163))` or `pow(E, PI*sqrt(163))` for $e^{\pi\sqrt{163}}$. JavaScript code can be used to do complex computing, e.g. calculate Fibonacci sequence and factorial with following recursion functions:

* Transform backslash now treats `\xHH` as octet in current code page instead of UTF-16 code point, this consistent with built-in regex engine. `\uHHHH` is still treated as UTF-16 code point (for Basic Multilingual Plane only).
* Program INI file searching was changed:
* For portable package, only exe folder will be checked with hard-code INI file (`Notepad4.ini` or `matepath.ini`).
* For WinGet or Chocolatey installation (actually when program is found on path with `WinGet` or `Chocolatey` in the name), only `%LOCALAPPDATA%\Notepad4` folder will be checked with hard-code INI file (`Notepad4.ini` or `matepath.ini`).
* Dark mode theme INI file is only checked in same folder as main INI file with hard-coded name `Notepad4 DarkTheme.ini`.
* Folder `%APPDATA%\Notepad4` (e.g. `C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Notepad4`) and `%USERPROFILE%\Notepad4` (e.g. `C:\Users\<username>\Notepad4`) are no longer searched.
* INI file with same name as program exe but different than `Notepad4.ini` or `matepath.ini` is no longer searched. system command `mklink` (see https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/administration/windows-commands/mklink) can be used to make symbolic link for program exe and/or INI files.
* Searching for custom toolbar image was changed, when the specified path (after expanding environment variables) is relative, it's only treated as relative to program INI file, no longer treated as relative to program exe file.

Breaking Changes
* Support for INI redirection was removed. system command `mklink` (see https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/administration/windows-commands/mklink) can be used to make symbolic link for INI file, issue #1141.
* Command line option `/f path` that used to specify program INI file path was removed, issue #1141.
