Gaming Profile no longer loses its record of a game mode left on when it cannot read its saved settings.
Starting game mode could replace that record, which is what puts your settings back after SysManager closes
during a game.
Fixed
- Gaming Profile: its saved settings are never written over when they could not be read. Gaming Profile
keeps the options you last used and, while game mode is on, a record of the settings it changed, so they can
be put back if SysManager closes during a game. A file that could not be read was taken as empty, and Start
saved your options over it, the record of a game mode still left on included.
- Start now changes nothing when the file cannot be read, and says so.
- A file that is damaged, or was saved by a newer SysManager, is kept as gaming-profiles.json.unreadable
before a new one is written.
- Saving your options and clearing the record after a restore can no longer overlap and undo each other.
Present since Gaming Profile was added in v1.52.38.

This release is not code-signed. The team roles, release-approval process and
privacy policy required by the SignPath Foundation programme
are documented in advance under Code signing
policy. That
documentation is a prerequisite for applying, not evidence of a certificate. The
attribution line naming SignPath as the signing provider will appear here once a
certificate is actually issued.
This program will not transfer any information to other networked systems unless
specifically requested by the user or the person installing or operating it. Full
privacy policy.
Verify where this binary came from
This exe was built by GitHub Actions from this public source, and the build is
recorded in the Sigstore public transparency log. With the
GitHub CLI:

That proves which commit and workflow produced this exact binary, something the
SHA256 file cannot show, since it is published alongside the exe it describes.
