This release of Supermium primarily fixes:
- the issue with displaying PDF documents on Windows Vista and 7 (#2073, #2072, #2058)
- a small fix for some systems being unable to set Supermium as default application for various protocols/file types (#2063)
However, a solution for occcasional process failures on some Windows XP systems is still being worked on.

This release addresses various issues reported in the previous release, including:
(#1777) - All values should now be consistent at version 144.0.7559.189.
(#1786, #1789, #1793) - New tab button issues are fixed.
(#1791) - Logo appearance is corrected.
(#1785) - #disable-pwa-install-prompt has been fixed.
(#1794) - Crashes on Windows XP/Server 2003/Vista x64 have been resolved.
(#1797) - The Widevine patcher has been removed from the main installer packages due to anti-virus false-positive detection. It has been moved to a separate ZIP archive with the password "123".

Here is a new release of Supermium 138 ESR. This includes various security updates and general fixes from upstream Chromium 138 ESR, as well as the following:
(#1618, #1743) QUIC works again on Windows 7 and below.
(#1686) Screen sharing issues should be resolved on Windows 8.1.

Here is a new release of Supermium 138 ESR. This includes various security updates and general fixes from upstream Chromium 138 ESR, as well as the following:
(#1695) - Solution to remaining browser start failures on account of locale issues; another fallback has been implemented using the en-GB locale.
(#1700) - The v60 tab style now supports split tabs.
(#1686) - Windows 8.0 screensharing issues should now be resolved.
(#1699 and others) - Window borders return to PWAs in cases where they were not visible. General browser window management is improved; there should be no issues with windows randomly stealing focus anymore.

This release was expedited to cover security vulnerability CVE-2025-4609 (#1550). It also includes the following enhancement:
(#1518) - Tab borders now available by default in v60 mode. The functionality can be toggled, including in other modes, via a boolean setting in the scs file, named int_layout_constant_57{x} wherein x is the boolean value.

This release of Supermium includes various changes and improvements, including:
(#1412) - Option to disable autoplay introduced in chrome://flags, #disable-autoplay
(#1403) - --force-dark-mode option introduced to deal with possible issues with white flashes in dark mode. However, some flashes may still appear due to caching of previous page views
(#1445) - chrome://version uses Supermium branding
(#1441, #1433, #1398, #1400) - Small changes to default metrics, particularly affecting v109 and CR23 tab styles
(#1438) - New tab button fixed in place (and the tab close button should no longer overlap favicons)
(#1411) - Download link now appears by default in chrome://downloads, as opposed to referrer link
(issue unassigned) - #disable-gpu-driver-bug-workaroundsnow available in chrome://flags
Some small mitigations have also been introduced for crashes in portable configurations on Windows 7.

This exceptional release of Supermium includes various enhancements over Supermium 132 R3, including:
(#1372) - some tweaks to the look-and-feel of v109 Tabs. Tab-specific compact UI options are separated from #compact-ui, now in #compact-tab-ui.
(#1370) - a new feature named #open-bookmark-option allows users to open bookmarks in new tabs, either in the foreground or background. This replaces the equivalent Chrome++ functionality that is currently unstable with Supermium.
(#1382) - drag-and-drop fully restored on NT 5.x.
(#1368) - CR23: tab separator duplication disabled by default, other metrics modified including tab gaps
(#1367) - Widevine patch updated for version 4.10.2891.0

Supermium 132 has been updated to Chromium ESR version 132.0.6834.222, including all security patches and other fixes incorporated in this version, in addition to:
(#670) Flag #show-managed-ui has been added to toggle the presence of "managed by your organisation" in various parts of the browser when enterprise policies are in effect
(#1258) Links to external applications should now work with Safe Browsing disabled/ungoogled-supermium enabled
(#1306) Further changes to favicon positioning; they should be fixed in place now
(#1292) Sandbox fully restored for all users
(#1280) Drag-and-drop disabled on NT 5.x due to various responsiveness issues
A new flag, named #supermium-tab-options has been added with support for multiple tab options: v109-style tabs, v60-style tabs, CR23-style tabs and rectangular tabs. The tabs can also be made smaller with the #compact-ui flag.

This release of Supermium features the following changes:
- Chromium base updated, incorporating any security patches and bugfixes made during the period
- (#1276) #tab-scrolling-button-position and #remove-grab-handle restored
- (#1268) Crashes in chrome://system and chrome://feedback fixed on Windows XP
- (#1225, #1250, #1260) Crashes on tab closing fixed; this allows PWAs to run after all regular tabs are closed
- (#1218, #1224) Separate Windows 10/11 x64 edition of Supermium created to help users with problems specific to those platforms
- (#1263) Favicon positioning stabilized
Willamette/Northwood Pentium 4 users: tentative fix is located in this release, needs testing. If fix is unsuccessful, the 32 bit release will be revised, with DAZ disabled.

This release of Supermium includes various improvements over Supermium 132 R0 (pre-release).
(#1233) Fixed #native-ui-style crash and improved the context menu colour in Incognito/dark modes.
(#1203, #1209) #chrome-labs in chrome://flags has resurrected as the #disable-chrome-labs switch.
(#1229) Resolving status of experimental web features. They are now defaulting to off, and the wording has been reverted as well. This fixes issues with the British Gas website.
(#1195) A fix has been added for various random crashes.
(#1216 and others) Tabs now reach the top of the screen when a window is maximized or the browser is in full screen mode. The default tab width has been increased.

This new release of Supermium 126 ESR contains the following changes:
- upstream code updated to the latest 126 ESR tag, with all relevant security and stability updates included
- (#907, #935, #962, #1042) Restored background to top of side panel
- (#972) --chrome-refresh-2023-top-chrome-font restored
- (#1028) CSS feature level bumped up to assure compatibility with twitch.tv
- (#1051) Fixed a single-process mode issue with regards to accessing settings for various extensions.
- (#935, #973) Extra theme colour options restored. Some duplicates exist for the purpose of positioning the colour picker within the visible area on the side panel.
- (#1044) --disable-captive-portals switch added
- (#1057) ECH connections are blocked in ungoogled-supermium mode
- (#1030, #1058) Possible mitigation for Windows XP cold start failure
- (#1014) UAC compliance for uninstaller improved by changing it to a formal Windows application
- (#1018) Installer should now add registry entry for Noto Emoji to mitigate Windows 7 font installation bug
- GDI Skia code customizations removed; GDI will remain functional in Supermium but will be de-prioritized in favour of DirectWrite

The Chromium base was updated from 126.0.6478.254 to 126.0.6478.256 to reflect the ESR patches in the recent period.

The Chromium base was updated from 126.0.6478.249 to 126.0.6478.259 to reflect the ESR patches in that period. This may help with a few issues that were not tied to a Supermium-specific problem, such as random renderer crashes on Windows 7.

Other changes are as follows:
- (#760 and others) removed loader deadlock in memory partition area on Windows 7
- (#915) added option to disable Crashpad, ``--disable-crashpad``
- (#588) changing default behaviour for icon loading on download page due to excessive process creation and poorer variety of icons. Use ``--force-generic-download-icons`` to restore this functionality.
- (#898) added double click to close tabs feature from Thorium, ``--double-click-close-tab``
- (#946) crash when adding bookmarks while ``--no-sync`` in use, is fixed
- (#916) PDF loading bug on Windows 7 fixed, with change in fallback font from Arial to Arial Unicode MS
- (#937) Patcher introduced for Widevine CDM on Windows 7. It is located in the base Supermium directory and is named ``win7_fixwidevine.cmd``. It is based on the default user data location, users with a non-default user data directory will have to change it accordingly. Use each time a new Widevine release has been downloaded (there are no auto-updates for integrity reasons, so this should only need to be done sparingly).
- (#912, #955) hashes are now available in SHA2-256 and SHA3-512 format for each file in the Releases directory
- (#906) ``--history-journeys`` and ``--side-panel-journeys`` restored
- (#871) Dark mode implementation fixed and duplicate options removed, replaced with unique options
- (#899) Zip distribution added for XP users who may not be able to run the installer due to error 6 (OS issue if persistent)

The following issues have been resolved in this hotfix:
(#871) - Forced web dark mode should no longer produce inverted-colour images.
(#874, #880, #881, #885, #888) - Further changes to target stability issues, mostly targetting DirectWrite and Windows XP x64.
