## What's new
• Tiger speaks six languages：English, Simplified Chinese (中文), Hindi (हिन्दी), Spanish (Español), French (Français) and Arabic (العربية). It starts in your system language (Mexican Spanish opens in Spanish, Canadian French in French, Simplified Chinese in Chinese) and falls back to English otherwise.
• Settings > General > Language lists each language in its own name plus System default. Switching is live：the window, the native menu and file dialogs change language without a restart, and the choice is remembered.
• Everything is translated：menus, buttons, tooltips, screen reader labels and announcements, toasts, errors, team sync wording (the git term stays in small print), the update banner, the import report and the welcome checklist. Numbers, dates and "3 minutes ago" follow the language, with the right plural forms (Arabic has six).
• Arabic uses a full right-to-left layout：the sidebar moves to the right, arrows and chevrons are mirrored, and arrow keys follow the reading direction in the sidebar tree, tabs and resizers. URLs, code, JSON and shortcuts stay left to right.
• Chinese, Hindi and Arabic text uses your system's fonts, with taller lines for Hindi and Arabic so nothing is clipped.
• The command palette finds commands by their translated name and by their English name.

## Updates
Tiger installed with the Windows Setup exe, the macOS dmg or zip, or the Linux AppImage
downloads new versions in the background and offers **Restart now** when one is ready
(or installs it the next time you quit). Turn this off in Settings > About.
The Windows portable exe and portable zip, the Linux .deb and the Linux tar.gz do not
update themselves：Help > Check for Updates links you to the new download instead.
Microsoft Store installs are updated by the Store.
## Windows says "unknown publisher" / "Windows protected your PC"
If the Setup or portable exe is not yet code-signed for this release, SmartScreen shows a
blue "Windows protected your PC" screen the first time you run it. This is expected for an
unsigned exe from a small publisher, not a sign of a problem with the file. To continue:
1. Click **More info**.
2. Click **Run anyway**.
You can avoid the prompt entirely with winget install jtaoufik.Tiger (once the package is live on winget.run, see packaging/winget/manifests).
