Notes de la versió
[1.56.10] - 2026-08-04
Fixed
- Battery health and wear no longer show "-1%". When Windows refuses the capacity query — it only reports design and full-charge capacity to an elevated process — the app used an internal -1 marker meaning "unknown", and the page printed it straight out with a percent sign after it. Both figures now read "Not available", and the page explains that these two values need administrator rights while everything else on it works without.
- The Security event log now says it needs administrator rights. Selecting Security without elevation produced an empty grid and "Loaded 0 events", indistinguishable from a log that genuinely had nothing in it, because the underlying read swallowed Windows' refusal. The reader now reports why a log came back empty — refused, missing, or unavailable — and the page shows that reason instead of a blank list.
- Renamed the log-folder button on the System Logs tab. "Open log folder" sat beside "Open Event Viewer" on a tab named after the Windows Event Log, but opened SysManager's own diagnostic folder. It now reads "SysManager's own logs", and its tooltip shows the exact path before you click.
- Report and environment actions no longer overwrite the update message. Exporting a report or copying environment info wrote its result into the update card's status line, replacing "Update available: vX.Y.Z" with "Report saved" — discarding the more useful message and leaving the update card describing something unrelated to updates. These results now appear next to the buttons that produce them.
- Old update downloads are deleted once a newer one arrives. Each cached build is roughly 85 MB and nothing ever removed the previous ones, so %LocalAppData%\SysManager\updates grew by that much with every update — in an app whose Cleanup tab exists to reclaim disk space. The current build and its checksum are kept; superseded binaries, stale checksums, and interrupted partial downloads are removed. A file still in use by a running copy is left alone and cleaned up next time.
Verify the download
Get-FileHash .\SysManager-v1.56.10.exe -Algorithm SHA256
Expected SHA256: CB139CADCCBDF7979E2768EDB6E03C98D87A228ED8F70D196EE7B24A356733B1
This build is not code-signed, so Windows will warn on first launch. That is
expected for a small independent app: see what the warning says and what to
click.
Verify where this binary came from
This exe was built by GitHub Actions from this public source, and the build is
recorded in the Sigstore public transparency log. With the
GitHub CLI:
gh attestation verify .\SysManager-v1.56.10.exe --repo laurentiu021/SystemManager
That proves which commit and workflow produced this exact binary, something the
SHA256 file cannot show, since it is published alongside the exe it describes.
Each release also ships SysManager-v1.56.10.sbom.json, a CycloneDX inventory of
every dependency resolved for this build.https://github.com/laurentiu021/SystemManager/releases/tag/v1.56.10
