Notes de la versió
[1.130.5] - 2026-10-20
A Caution service's warning now appears when you stop or disable it, and four smaller things the app said or
stored wrong are fixed.
Fixed
- Stopping or disabling a Caution service asked the same question as for a harmless one. SysManager rates 12
services Caution, each with a note that says what turning it off costs: no security patches for Windows Update, no
sound for Windows Audio, no automatic address for DHCP Client. That note was only the safety pill's tooltip, which a
keyboard never opens, and the confirmation said "This may affect system functionality." The Stop and Disable
confirmations now end with the note ("Caution: ..."), and still name any services that depend on the one being
turned off. Safe services ask what they asked before. The generic question goes back to the Services tab's first
version (0.13.0).
- System Health named one disk's bus three ways. The Storage devices list, the SMART card and the chkdsk list each
had a table of bus names, and the tables had drifted: a disk behind a RAID controller read "RAID" in two of them and
had no bus in the chkdsk list, and an SD or eMMC card read "SD" or "MMC" in one and "Other" in another. All three
lists and the System Report use one table now, which also names mounted virtual disks and Storage Spaces. The
separate tables date from 0.3.0 and 0.4.0.
- Display Profiles could offer Apply for the mode already in use. The mode list keeps one entry per resolution and
refresh rate, at whichever color depth Windows listed first, and Apply compared the depth too. When Windows listed
the current mode at another depth first, Apply was enabled for the mode the display was already in, and pressing it
started the "Keep these settings?" countdown for a change that changed nothing. Two modes with the same resolution
and refresh rate are one mode now, since Apply never changes the depth. This goes back to the tab's first version
(1.37.0).
- A Windows Update that could not check for updates was explained as an uninstall that needs no action. The
explanation for Windows Update event 25 read "A Windows Update was uninstalled." and "Informational — no action
needed unless unexpected." The event means Windows Update failed to check for updates, at Error level. It now says
that, and suggests checking the internet connection and the PC's clock, then Reset Windows Update in System Fixes.
Windows writes this event to a log System Logs does not open, so the wrong text was not shown in this version; it
had been in the table since the first release.
- Recent Changes stored the kind of each program change as a number. Its record of the programs that appeared,
left or were updated between two looks wrote each kind as its position in a list, so a later version that added a
kind before them would have shown stored removals as installs for as long as the record keeps them. The kind is
written by name now. A record written with numbers still reads, and an entry that is not one of the three program
kinds is left out. This could not happen yet; the record dates from 1.125.0.
Verify the download
Get-FileHash .\SysManager-v1.130.5.exe -Algorithm SHA256
Expected SHA256: FCA284AC4ABCF4BA80EDD5BCC2549B06C2BFE14D9AEA33039C5AEB07E19FDCD5
This build is not code-signed, so Windows will warn on first launch. That is
expected for a small independent app: see what the warning says and what to
click.
Code signing is planned through the SignPath Foundation,
which provides free certificates to open-source projects, with signing performed by
SignPath.io. Until then, the SHA256 above and the build
attestation below are what establish that a download is the genuine build.
Code signing policy
This release is not code-signed. The team roles, release-approval process and
privacy policy required by the SignPath Foundation programme
are documented in advance under Code signing
policy. That
documentation is a prerequisite for applying, not evidence of a certificate. The
attribution line naming SignPath as the signing provider will appear here once a
certificate is actually issued.
This program will not transfer any information to other networked systems unless
specifically requested by the user or the person installing or operating it. Full
privacy policy.
Verify where this binary came from
This exe was built by GitHub Actions from this public source, and the build is
recorded in the Sigstore public transparency log. With the
GitHub CLI:
gh attestation verify .\SysManager-v1.130.5.exe --repo laurentiu021/SystemManager
That proves which commit and workflow produced this exact binary, something the
SHA256 file cannot show, since it is published alongside the exe it describes.
Each release also ships SysManager-v1.130.5.sbom.json, a CycloneDX inventory of
every dependency resolved for this build.https://github.com/laurentiu021/SystemManager/releases/tag/v1.130.5
