Notes de la versió
[1.127.0] - 2026-10-08
The Dashboard can now answer "why is my PC slow right now?". One button looks at disk space, the program using the
processor, what starts with Windows, memory and the time since the last restart, and lists what it found, worst first,
each with the tab that deals with it (#1529).
Added
- Why is it slow? on the Dashboard, between Scan system and Quick Tune-Up. It looks at five things at once and ticks
each off as it finishes, in a few seconds:
- the system drive, judged the way the Health Score judges it, so a large drive with plenty left is not called full:
it is named under 20 GB free, or under 15% free with less than 25 GB left, and put first under 10 GB, or under
10% with less than 25 GB left;
- a program using 40% or more of the processor, counted across all of its processes and measured twice, a second
apart, so a moment's spike is not named. SysManager itself and the idle process never are;
- more than ten programs starting with Windows, counted as Startup Manager counts them, or more than 20 seconds that
Windows itself blamed on what ran during the last start it timed, if that was in the last 30 days;
- memory at 90% or more;
- Windows not restarted for more than a week, the same line past which the Health Score recommends a restart.
- Each finding says what it means in plain words and offers the tabs that deal with it: Deep Cleanup and Disk Analyzer,
Process Manager, Startup Manager or Boot Analyzer. The buttons only open the tab; nothing is changed from the card. A
program is named together with the reason it may be fine, a busy part of Windows is said to be doing a job of its own,
and the restart is mentioned last, as information rather than a fault. "Nothing obvious is slowing it down" appears
only when all five could be looked at; anything that could not be read is named instead, in the words the Tune-Up
card uses. The result is also said on the status line, so a screen reader announces it.
- It takes the Disk lock while it looks, so it does not start while a cleanup or a disk scan is running in SysManager,
which would be what it found.
Verify the download
Get-FileHash .\SysManager-v1.127.0.exe -Algorithm SHA256
Expected SHA256: 6EA0F1BA64238808C41D0EA9F31200E9EE54F3DA07A74897AD6244C324C49395
This build is not code-signed, so Windows will warn on first launch. That is
expected for a small independent app: see what the warning says and what to
click.
Code signing is planned through the SignPath Foundation,
which provides free certificates to open-source projects, with signing performed by
SignPath.io. Until then, the SHA256 above and the build
attestation below are what establish that a download is the genuine build.
Code signing policy
This release is not code-signed. The team roles, release-approval process and
privacy policy required by the SignPath Foundation programme
are documented in advance under Code signing
policy. That
documentation is a prerequisite for applying, not evidence of a certificate. The
attribution line naming SignPath as the signing provider will appear here once a
certificate is actually issued.
This program will not transfer any information to other networked systems unless
specifically requested by the user or the person installing or operating it. Full
privacy policy.
Verify where this binary came from
This exe was built by GitHub Actions from this public source, and the build is
recorded in the Sigstore public transparency log. With the
GitHub CLI:
gh attestation verify .\SysManager-v1.127.0.exe --repo laurentiu021/SystemManager
That proves which commit and workflow produced this exact binary, something the
SHA256 file cannot show, since it is published alongside the exe it describes.
Each release also ships SysManager-v1.127.0.sbom.json, a CycloneDX inventory of
every dependency resolved for this build.https://github.com/laurentiu021/SystemManager/releases/tag/v1.127.0
