2.2.2 17 d’octubre del 2026 — 64 bits EXE (Inno Setup)
Notes de la versió
This release updates Windows, macOS and Linux. Android Preview remains at 2.2.1.
Added
- Added: The file tree keeps the active ancestor folder visible while scrolling. Its clickable breadcrumb shows the last three path levels and provides a menu for earlier ancestors.
- Added: Git history shows author avatars when available, with initials while an image is unavailable or cannot load.
Improved
- Improved: The interface bundles the compact Geist variable font for English text. Chinese uses installed font fallbacks without adding a bundled Chinese font; terminal font preferences remain independent, and paths and other metadata retain their monospace styling.
- Improved: File filtering uses a softer search field, a clearer Filter files placeholder and quieter case, whole-word and regular-expression controls. Breadcrumbs and terminal actions provide stronger text or icon color feedback on hover with transparent backgrounds.
- Improved: Adjacent choices share a smooth sliding indicator across Settings, SSH controls, Shell and Quick Jump filters, Git views, theme previews and import/export choices. The indicator follows actual option sizes, continues from its visible position when reversed and respects reduced-motion preferences.
- Improved: The Shell and SSH picker uses a shorter search header and more space above its filter choices.
- Improved: Command Manager shows Copy, Edit and Delete on row hover or keyboard focus. The three-dot button is removed; moving commands between folders remains available from the row context menu.
- Improved: Git added and deleted line totals of 1,000 or more use one-decimal k units while retaining their signs and colors.
- Improved: Tab titles, filenames and settings labels use more consistent text weights and spacing. Tab text follows the existing interface-size preference, iconless rows avoid an empty icon gutter, and shell types use plain text labels.
- Improved: Captured-answer reader controls, notices, image selection and image errors follow the interface language. Switching languages preserves the original answer and author-provided image descriptions, and Copy source retains the exact original content. (#545)
Fixed
- Fixed: Git history lines join across adjacent rows and use smoother branch curves.
- Fixed: Git-ignored file and folder names retain their italic styling, and ordinary interface labels avoid unintended bold Chinese text.
- Fixed: A tab's custom color strip stays separate from its icon at small interface sizes.
- Fixed: Windows recreates a missing temporary welcome script when opening a new tab or split, and retries failed writes instead of keeping a stale cached path. Addresses #622.
- Fixed: On macOS, default GPUI shortcuts release plain Control character combinations such as Control+K to the terminal while Command shortcuts perform the corresponding interface actions. Explicit user bindings and navigation combinations retain their established behavior. Addresses #656. (#658)
- Fixed: Local file links with trailing line-count annotations, including terminal-truncated annotations, resolve to an existing base file. Existing filenames containing parentheses still take precedence; this does not add line-number navigation. Addresses #619. (#663)

Notes de la versió
Added
- Added: Saved commands support selection and batch deletion, clearing all or built-in commands, and restoring deleted built-ins. Batch deletion, clearing commands and removing custom folders ask for confirmation; removing a folder keeps its commands in Ungrouped. Changing the search or folder clears the selection. Addresses #511. (#530)
- Added: Terminal scrollbars offer Auto-hide, On hover and Always modes, applied to open terminals. Minimum-size thumbs keep their position when grabbed at the live bottom. Addresses #425. (#447)
- Added: New WSL Zsh panes report their directory and command boundaries after guest verification, allowing directory-dependent features to follow them. Existing Zsh configuration and explicit startup choices are preserved; panes opened before verification keep their original startup environment. (#409)
- Added: Editable Markdown previews offer centered floating drafts for formulas and images, with live formula previews, image thumbnails and dimensions, and a local image picker. Cancel discards the draft; Done applies a document edit that can be undone or redone. Saving the file remains a separate action. (#649, #652)
- Added: Find literal text in retained terminal output, with match counts, previous/next navigation and case matching. Open search with Ctrl+Shift+H, with Command+F also available on macOS. Search input stays out of the shell and the terminal grid keeps its size. (#650, #652)
- Added: Choose a completed shell command to search its retained output, jump to its start or end, or copy it. Supported command results also offer a copy control on hover with feedback. Command scopes require shell integration; copies are limited to 8 MiB, and expired or oversized output leaves the clipboard unchanged. (#650)
- Added: Hovering a Markdown link shows Edit, Open and Copy actions and a stronger underline. Open and Copy keep the full destination; Edit changes only the selected occurrence, preserves its label and supports cancel and undo. Files are saved separately, and documents without edit permission keep Edit disabled.
Improved
- Improved: Inline code in Markdown uses rounded backgrounds and horizontal padding while preserving original source text, copied content, links and selection offsets. (#649)
- Improved: Reader/source switching sits before the upper-right toolbar divider and uses the same sliding indicator transition as Settings, including continuous retargeting and reduced-motion behavior. The file menu brings together path/name copying and applicable local-file actions. (#652)
- Improved: Code-block language and copy controls appear along the top on hover or keyboard focus without reserving extra layout space. (#652)
- Improved: Terminal search appears before Command Manager in both tab layouts. Search and the command palette use compact controls with clearer spacing, search scope and match feedback. (#652)
- Improved: Add 351 Japanese translations from the 2.2.0 catalog for backup, phone remote, backgrounds, terminal effects, SSH forwarding and theme management. Newer untranslated entries continue to use the existing English fallback. (#568)
- Improved: Focus rings retain keyboard and pointer styling without repeatedly triggering theme updates when their color is unchanged. (#648)
Fixed
- Fixed: macOS remote-backup setup saves WebDAV passwords and S3 secrets through the existing system credential store instead of rejecting the final step as Windows-only. Linux uses the existing Secret Service adapter; environment-variable precedence and storage failures retain their established behavior. Addresses #561. (#581)
- Fixed: Copy and Cut in saved-command name and multiline command fields provide feedback; empty selections remain quiet and Undo is preserved. Identical notifications in different windows no longer suppress each other. Addresses #510. (#584)
- Fixed: Command-dialog inputs retain native paste shortcuts after terminal Paste is disabled or remapped. Restoring defaults takes effect

Notes de la versió
Added
- Added a searchable dropdown for Chinese terminal fonts, with independent font-family and fallback choices from the English terminal font.
- Added direct entry for terminal and interface font sizes: click the size, type a value, and press Enter or leave the field to apply; Escape cancels.
Improved
- Refined settings layout with clearer group headings, consistent control alignment, tighter density options and compact segmented selectors. Ghost and outline buttons retain comfortable click areas, and dropdown triggers and menu items provide hover feedback. The title bar keeps its standard height in both density modes.
- Made Nord Light the default light theme. Paper is now presented as Warm Sand and Glass Light as Slate Light; existing saved theme names remain compatible. Nord retains solid primary buttons, while other themes use softer primary fills.
- Simplified backup sections with spacing between headings and content, without heading underlines or enclosing cards.
Fixed
- Fixed SSH host form choices on Android not aligning to the right edge. Terminal mode, authentication method, and group selectors now share the form's trailing alignment while labels remain on the left.
- Fixed settings segmented selectors losing their capsule shape and making the selected option hard to distinguish. An inset thumb follows the current theme's surface and text colors and slides smoothly between choices, including rapid switching. A subtle edge distinguishes selection without internal divider lines. Settings rows keep their normal background on hover, while individual controls retain interaction feedback.
- Fixed the Android local terminal showing only a dollar prompt without its working directory. The default prompt now follows directory changes, while a custom prompt in the user's .mkshrc still takes precedence.
- Fixed backup connection errors being clipped by the storage card and password help competing with controls for space. Error details remain fully visible, and password help has its own line below the action row.
- Centered the theme name, appearance label and text-color swatches beneath the theme preview.
- Fixed terminal inline formulas such as $0$, $E$, and polynomial expressions remaining as source text or consuming neighboring formulas. Mathematical line breaks in dollar-delimited formulas are recognized within bounded scans, while shell variables and ordinary prose remain literal. Addresses #420.

Notes de la versió
Added
- Added in-app updates for packaged macOS applications on Apple Silicon and Intel. Verified updates can install after restart or on the next launch, then restore the saved workspace. Immediate relaunch failure rolls back to the original application. Installation requires a writable application location; copies running from a disk image or App Translocation must first be moved.
- Added SSH display names to the Shell picker, Quick Jump and command palette. Named hosts show their configured name alongside the original connection target; unnamed hosts keep the previous display. Search matches both the name and target, and selecting a row still connects to the original destination.
- Added a configurable tab-rename shortcut in Settings → Key Bindings → Tabs. The default remains F2; changing or clearing the shortcut lets F2 reach terminal applications such as Codex CLI. Changes apply without restarting, and menu shortcut hints follow the effective binding.
Fixed
- Fixed update checks failing when GitHub returns HTTP 403 or 429. The updater falls back to the official latest-release page and checksum manifest; if verified package metadata is unavailable, manual download remains available.
- Fixed macOS terminal links not opening with Command+left click. Link gestures also work when an application enables mouse reporting, while ordinary clicks still reach the application. Hover hints show the correct platform modifier in the selected language. Addresses #196.
- Fixed Windows Codex Hook commands failing during PowerShell parsing, including executable paths with spaces or special characters. Existing Pebrel-managed commands are migrated while preserving user and third-party hooks. Addresses #254 and #255.
- Bounded Hook event forwarding when input remains open or the receiving application stops reading, so forwarding cannot wait indefinitely and keep the helper executable locked. Already running helpers from older versions do not acquire this timeout.
- Fixed successful same-version repair installations being reported as failures when the main executable remains byte-identical. Before setup starts, the updater briefly waits for installed Hook files to become writable; a persistent lock stops the update before setup can partially replace the installation. Installer success, package verification and the expected application version remain required. Addresses #258.
- Fixed dashed link underlines covering only part of Chinese and other wide characters, and restarting their pattern at spaces or font boundaries. Underlines now follow terminal columns and display scaling.
- Fixed quoted Windows, UNC and home-directory paths containing spaces being recognized only up to the first space. Link highlighting and opening use the complete quoted path.
- Fixed WSL shell-prompt links including the trailing $ or #, and absolute prompt paths losing their underline. Opening an absolute WSL prompt path uses the originating distribution; copying keeps the original path text.
- Fixed missing truecolor declarations in fresh Windows and WSL panes. Applications can retain their intended message-background colors across terminal themes, including Codex user-message backgrounds. Animation output remains controlled by the CLI; Pebrel does not add or filter stars according to reasoning level.
- Fixed tab context menus mixing hardcoded Chinese with the selected interface language. Menu labels now follow the active language across all 11 supported locales, including Korean, in both sidebar and top tabs.
Improved
- Organized Windows Explorer integration into one normal Pebrel open command and one WSL submenu containing the installed distributions. Installation migrates Pebrel-owned flat entries while preserving unrelated or user-edited commands.
- Expanded issue forms with operating-system, shell, pane-program and connection details, and clearer reproduction and evidence fields to make problem reports easier to investigate.

1.9.0 22 de setembre del 2026 — 64 bits EXE (Inno Setup)
Notes de la versió
Added
- Added a native Windows ARM64 portable ZIP, alongside the Windows x64 installer and portable ZIP. ARM64 builds use a native runner and include matching ARM64 Hook and console runtime binaries.
- Added Kimi Code recognition, native session commands and managed lifecycle hooks, including its icon and terminal activity states.
- Added a dedicated Agents settings page for Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Cursor Agent, Kimi Code, Pi, Oh My Pi, GitHub Copilot and Grok. It shows detected CLI paths and actual Hook installation status beside each integration switch. Automatic Hook management is available on Windows.
- Added configurable notification duration: keep the existing defaults, choose 5, 10, 30 or 90 seconds, or keep notifications visible until dismissed. The selected duration takes precedence over an Agent's default banner lifetime.
- Added a persistent terminal font-ligature setting, enabled by default and applied to open sessions without restarting them. Addresses #220.
- Added a Sponsors page under Settings → Home → Project and support, introducing Fluxion AI with its sign-up link.
Fixed
- Fixed Codex cold restoration using a Hook group identifier instead of the native conversation identity. Saved sessions with an older or unrecognized transcript filename retain their existing valid conversation ID.
- Fixed missing Windows local Codex identities by recovering the native conversation ID and file path from the running process. Later lifecycle-only events retain the verified identity.
- Fixed dead-end Codex restoration when a saved conversation no longer exists: recovery opens the native conversation chooser, including from CMD, and the tab menu offers an explicit conversation choice.
- Fixed the session crash-loop breaker counting a launch as failed while a restored AI conversation was still unconfirmed. Normal exits with a Codex conversation waiting at its startup prompts no longer quarantine the whole workspace after three launches, and the saved conversation target is retained for the next launch.
- Fixed shutdown getting stuck when some AI identities cannot be collected. Users can save the known state and exit; save errors and subsequently changed editor drafts still keep the application open.
- Fixed AI failures and cancellations appearing as successful completion. Claude failure events and Pi retry-aware outcomes now use the shared result handling.
- Fixed notification replacements retaining an old result or expiry deadline. A refreshed pane result uses the selected duration, and an older timer cannot dismiss its replacement.
- Fixed supported AI confirmation actions by checking that the request is still current and completing the required key-down/key-up sequence. Windows notification activation restores the corresponding application window.
- Fixed WSL Hook installation and event delivery to use the distribution's own user configuration. Command completions include the distribution and user options.
- Fixed inherited Ctrl+C suppression preventing interruption of CMD child commands, while preserving selection copying.
- Fixed native CMD command activity detection, multiline input and echoed text at pending-wrap boundaries.
- Fixed application 256-color blocks being overwritten by terminal prompt colors, while retaining explicit custom color overrides.
- Fixed saved SSH hosts ignoring the available system SSH agent in automatic authentication mode.
- Fixed terminal working-directory copying to use the path reported by the shell, including guest paths, while normal selection copying retains the original text.
- Fixed terminal and answer-reader opening of supported local Markdown links, file URIs and relative paths. Paths containing spaces, Chinese text or parentheses resolve against the originating pane's directory; missing paths produce visible feedback. Addresses #203.
- Fixed file-editor selections and search matches blending into light and dark backgrounds. Plain-text and code editors reveal the configured works

Notes de la versió
Added
- Added Windows Explorer entries for opening a folder in a registered WSL distribution. Both a folder's context menu and the folder-background menu offer the distribution choices installed with Pebrel.
- Added --shell <id> to select a Shell or saved terminal profile for a new terminal. The choice reaches both a fresh launch and an already-running instance; an explicitly supplied directory overrides the profile's saved directory without changing the saved profile.
- Added persistent command groups, with drag-and-drop assignment and context-menu actions to move commands between groups or return them to Ungrouped. Deleting a group keeps its commands. This covers the grouping portion of the request; default-collapsed groups and automatic grouping by tool remain pending. Addresses #149.
- Added persistent deletion of built-in command recipes. Removed recipes stay hidden after reopening the command manager, including after changes from another window; saved user commands are retained.
Fixed
- Fixed WSL repeatedly printing PROMPT_COMMAND syntax errors at __pebrel_connection() { when Windows line endings entered embedded Shell scripts. Shared scripts are normalized before injection, preserving command exit codes and existing user SSH functions. Addresses #188.
- Fixed Git Bash leaving leading characters behind when editing or clearing wrapped input in byte-oriented locales. The managed prompt uses an ASCII marker when required and retains the Unicode marker in UTF-8 locales.
- Fixed premature completion notifications when the integration reports active background commands or monitors, which were previously missed by the background-work counter.
- Fixed hook-enabled AI sessions showing a completion toast when the screen was inferred to be idle while work was still running. Completion notifications now follow the integration’s turn events. Addresses #162.
- Fixed background operations briefly opening console windows on Windows, including process probes, Git operations and SSH helper commands.
- Fixed SSH terminals retaining their initial grid size after resizing a window or pane; the visible grid and remote terminal now receive the updated dimensions.
- Fixed "Reveal in file manager" opening the wrong folder when a Windows path contains spaces. The containing folder opens with the requested file selected. Addresses #167.
- Fixed moving the final tab to another window triggering a conflicting workspace update when the original window closes. Addresses #150.
- Fixed saved SSH connection names being replaced by remote directory or program titles. Both the sidebar and top-tab layouts retain the configured connection name. Addresses #164.
- Fixed Windows SSH configuration and identity-file paths containing spaces or quotes. Host discovery and connection resolution use the same user configuration file.
- Fixed SSH connection tests mishandling host-key confirmation and cancellation. Closing or editing the connection cancels the owned test, and an old result cannot overwrite the edited connection's status.
- Fixed the multiline command editor collapsing instead of retaining a usable editing height.
- Fixed Windows taskbar and relaunch icon properties and refreshed matching pinned shortcuts while preserving their launch arguments.
Improved
- Integrated keyboard-binding search into the global settings search, including action names and key combinations. Searching for the keyboard-settings section still shows the complete page.
- Made short, fixed settings choices directly visible as segmented buttons, including tab placement, new-tab position, display density and completion style.
- Expanded terminal-tab hover details to show the connection, working directory and current program or AI task without replacing the tab's stable name.
- Improved fallback handling for simple SSH configurations when the system SSH client cannot expand them. Advanced directives that require OpenSSH report a clear error instead of silently resolving an incomplete co

Added
- Added confirmation before restoring default settings, with Cancel, Escape and backdrop dismissal available before any preferences change. Contributed by @WilliamWang1721 in #115.
- Added Windows login-startup and silent-start switches in Settings → Advanced → Session lifecycle. Silent startup enables the tray so the window can be reopened; an explicit directory launch still opens a visible window. Contributed by @WilliamWang1721 in #117.
- Added an independent interface text-size control, adjustable from 10 to 24 px without changing terminal text size. Contributed by @WilliamWang1721 in #127.
- Added a separate terminal font fallback list for Chinese and other full-width characters. Font choices apply on Enter or leaving the field; the English and Chinese fields both default to bundled Maple Mono NF CN. Contributed by @WilliamWang1721 in #127.
- Added “Focus follows mouse” in Settings → Interaction, off by default, and “Dim inactive panes” in Settings → Appearance, on by default. Both preferences take effect immediately.
- Added right-click actions to the Shell launcher for choosing the default Shell and, on Windows, opening the selected Shell inside a new administrator Pebrel window.
- Added Connect, Edit, and Delete to SSH launcher context menus. Delete uses the existing confirmation and undo flow.
- Added Trae CLI recognition and its tab icon, plus a dedicated Oh My Pi icon.
- Added CodeBuddy CLI recognition and its color tab icon, including the codebuddy, cbc, codebuddy-code and codebuddy-lowmem commands. Prewarm commands and old welcome text alone do not establish a foreground AI session.
Fixed
- Fixed font candidates being clipped near the window edge or covering their input after settings-page scrolling. The list opens above the field when needed, and both terminal-font fields align and display the current font.
- Fixed a bare pebrel launch opening a new terminal in the wrong directory. The inherited launch directory is preserved, including when handing the request to an existing Windows instance.
- Fixed restored WSL panes losing their saved guest directory during startup.
- Fixed queued AI resume commands and session identities being lost during Shell initialization. Compact Codex resume screens are recognized without another AI message, and exiting the CLI clears the foreground identity.
- Fixed long WSL directory titles overlapping distribution labels in the sidebar and top tabs.
- Fixed quiet terminals retaining an intermediate startup size. The final viewport size reaches the terminal even when no more output arrives.
- Fixed Windows terminal focus consuming Alt+F4 and Alt+Space. Alt+F4 now uses the normal window-close flow, and Alt+Space, followed by N, uses the system menu to minimize the window.
- Fixed the top Settings tab disappearing when switching to another tab. It now remains available until explicitly closed, including when tabs overflow or the tab layout changes.
- Fixed Alt+1–9 and Ctrl+1–9 tab shortcuts losing priority to terminal input. They now work while a terminal or CLI has focus and respect custom shortcut changes without restarting.
- Fixed WSL filename search failing when the directory path contains spaces or shell punctuation. Cancelling a search stops its own directory scan.
- Aligned macOS native window controls with the sidebar and Settings buttons, and preserved their reserved space in the top tab layout. Window controls follow the system appearance. Contributed by @WilliamWang1721 in #114.
- Fixed the Git drawer retaining Chinese labels when the application resolves to English. Controls, history timestamps and application notices follow the selected language; switching languages preserves the commit draft and text selection. Contributed by @gao-jian-bin in #118.
- Fixed explicitly configured terminal selection text colors being ignored. Themes without their own selection foreground preserve that setting; themes with an explicit foreground retain their precedence. Contributed by @

Notes de la versió
Added
- Added an AI message toast switch in Settings → Terminal → Alerts. Turning it off dismisses in-app AI cards and suppresses new ones, while retaining system notifications and tab status indicators. Addresses #107.
- Added editable local and SSH text documents with save operations, changed-file checks, and preservation of unsaved text when a save fails.
- Added reusable terminal layouts that open in a separate window and retain terminal launch settings without replaying command history.
- Added dragging files from the system file manager into local and WSL terminals to insert quoted paths without executing them. Local files for SSH sessions can be uploaded through Remote Files. Addresses #106.
- Expanded the built-in theme picker to 15 palettes. New Catppuccin Frappé and Macchiato join Latte and Mocha to complete all four flavors, alongside Breeze, Mint, and Glass light/dark variants. Glass uses static colors and does not automatically enable background blur.
Fixed
- Fixed rounded terminal box corners joining straight strokes one physical pixel off at some character sizes and display scales.
- Prevented Grok's Windows legacy-console fallback from hiding its dotted welcome logo in newly opened local terminals, while respecting explicit legacy-console overrides.
- Fixed the Default Shell setting and the new-terminal menu recommending PowerShell on macOS when no shell is configured. Both now use the same host-default resolver as the terminal backend. Contributed by @YinBuLiao in #110.
- Fixed mixed shell icons giving settings-menu rows different heights. Shells without a brand image also receive an icon in the new-terminal menu. Contributed by @YinBuLiao in #111.
- Shortened long and multi-line notification previews while retaining the original notification text in logs. Plain persistent notifications can be dismissed by clicking the card. Contributed in part by @YinBuLiao in #112.
- Improved foreground contrast for terminal text on light backgrounds while preserving color pairs that are already readable. Addresses #104.
- Fixed the System language setting falling back to English when macOS applications launched from Finder have no locale environment variables.
- Corrected Antigravity status detection so ordinary replies do not look like pending confirmations, while active question and file-review prompts are recognized as waiting for input. Addresses #100. Contributed by @821869798 in #101.
Improved
- Changed the default appearance to 100% opacity with background blur off, so themes use solid backgrounds. Explicit opacity and blur choices are preserved.
- Made default sidebar and file-pane separators stay one physical pixel wide at high display scaling, retaining each theme's divider color.
- Improved Markdown reading with bounded preview work and shared background formula rendering; unsupported or oversized expressions retain their source.
- Added in-place feedback to code and formula copy controls, and kept document focus mode separate from operating-system fullscreen.
- Made Git-ignored files and directories distinguishable with italic text in the file tree.
Windows packages include a Pebrel installer and portable ZIP. The old-name installer alias is no longer published; older clients that require it can update by downloading the Pebrel installer from the Release page. Linux x64 packages and macOS Apple Silicon/Intel DMGs retain their Preview designation. Molecular structure rendering remains disabled.

Notes de la versió
Added
- Added agent.delegate to the Runtime control API, allowing a managed Agent to delegate work to a verified target and receive the bounded result back in the originating session.
Fixed
- Fixed Claude hooks failing under PowerShell on Windows by installing them in exec form and repairing older shell-form entries in place.
- Fixed user-defined PowerShell and Git Bash prompts being overwritten while preserving Nebula's shell-integration markers.
- Fixed Windows environment expansion leaving literal %USERPROFILE% paths that could create a %USERPROFILE% folder in the launch directory. Contributed by @Mikachu2333 in #86.
- Fixed GPUI confirmation and cancellation buttons not responding to mouse clicks, and stopped terminal right-click paste from propagating into overlapping UI layers.
- Fixed Ctrl+V in a focused tab-rename field also pasting the clipboard into the terminal behind it.

1.4.0 29 d’agost del 2026 — 64 bits EXE (Inno Setup)
Notes de la versió
Added
- Added a versioned Runtime control API and resource-style CLI — nebula env, window, tab, pane, and agent expose discoverable JSON operations, with updated Bash, Fish, and Zsh completions.
- Added typed Agent workflows — Nebula can create layouts, launch verified providers, wait for a specific generation, submit prompts, run bounded non-TTY commands, paste safely, and create transactional Git worktree forks. Native SSH reports unsupported host-local operations instead of running them in the wrong place.
- Added a dedicated Windows quick terminal — A process-wide singleton opens across the current display at 40% height, slides from the top edge, and preserves its PTY and scrollback while hidden.
- Added embedded English and Simplified Chinese catalogs to GPUI Settings — Language can follow the system or be selected explicitly, persists across launches, and switches in memory without reading translation files at runtime. Addresses #71 for GPUI Settings only; other untranslated surfaces remain outside this release.
- Added Quick Jump and Send to Chat — Search tabs, panes, directories, SSH hosts, and recoverable Agent sessions, or send selected terminal and document text to an explicitly chosen live Agent.
- Added cross-window tab dragging on Windows — Move a tab or dock its complete split tree into another Nebula window without losing pane state, subscriptions, or session metadata.
- Added complete local and WSL file-tree actions — Open, reveal, copy paths, launch terminals, and recycle entries while preserving each WSL distribution and guest path.
- Added Windows taskbar progress for OSC 9;4 — Terminal applications can show normal, indeterminate, paused, error, and cleared progress states.
Fixed
- Fixed terminal output pausing mid-frame until another key or resize, and fixed an unselected completion popup capturing Up/Down before the user selects a candidate.
- Fixed new Windows panes inheriting stale environment variables from the long-running Nebula process; new panes now rebuild the current machine and user environment. Addresses #68.
- Fixed the quick-terminal global shortcut, first-open blank strip, incorrect window size, and ordinary-workspace lifecycle leaks.
- Fixed Settings crashing when proxy fields contain non-ASCII text or full-width punctuation. Addresses #67.
- Fixed File Tree, Git, top-tab, and sidebar controls leaking clicks into title-bar drag or parent collapse handlers. Addresses #62.
- Fixed GPUI diagnostics and Windows panic reporting causing a second panic while reporting the first failure. Addresses #70.
- Fixed Runtime reads, snapshots, prompts, paste, exec, layout, and Agent operations activating background windows; only an explicit focus command may activate a workspace.
- Fixed Runtime Agent notifications, waits, layout changes, and SSH selection routing using stale or ambiguous targets.
- Fixed terminal math false positives, multiline delimiter pairing, \boxed / \tag fallback, and formulas disappearing because of valid ink-free glyphs.
- Fixed wide-character selection, ConPTY cursor reconciliation after resize, and DECSET 2031 color-scheme notifications.
- Fixed settings resets, terminal-pane seams, sidebar resize geometry, cursor blinking, and tab badge priority so the displayed state matches the saved or authoritative state.
Improved
- Improved terminal TeX rendering with content-based detection and compact GPUI projection — Formulas work through WSL, SSH, and full-screen Agent interfaces while selection, cursor, completion, IME, links, and terminal source coordinates remain correct. Includes work contributed by @liu-ws in #55.
- Improved quick-terminal motion with the established top-edge slide timing, smooth mid-animation reversal, and no repeated activation or resize during animation.
- Improved themes and pane geometry — Nord is the default dark theme, Paper is its light counterpart, and theme-controlled card radius, gutter, shadow, and divider share one rendering path.
- Improved Runtime

Notes de la versió
Added
- Added verified in-app Windows updates — Nebula can download the exact official Windows x64 installer in the background, show progress, validate its size, PE header, and SHA-256, then wait for explicit confirmation before launching setup.
Fixed
- Fixed automatic update checks to use the real GitHub latest release and compare it with the running package version before showing a reminder; skipped versions and three-day reminders remain respected.
- Fixed update notifications disappearing before users could act; reminders now remain visible in the bottom-right corner, and completion or failure replaces the original notification with the appropriate next action.
- Fixed update and confirmation dialog geometry and typography to match the established width, vertical position, and font sizing, while overlay clicks, Escape, and cancel buttons consistently run the cancel action.
- Fixed terminal opacity returning to 82% after being set to 100% when legacy blur settings were normalized and reloaded.
- Fixed the keymap page leaving a large empty gap above its shortcut rows.
- Fixed the font group popup drifting away from its selector; hovering a truncated font family now reveals its complete name.
- Fixed the sidebar resize cursor and width calculation missing the visible divider, so dragging begins directly on the baseline instead of several pixels to its left.
- Fixed PowerShell current-directory reporting under the Windows home directory. The prompt may still display ~, but Files and Git integrations now receive the absolute path and correctly detect repositories below the home directory.
Improved
- Improved the update flow with download progress, retry, verified, install, and failure states, plus a second installer verification immediately before launch.
- Improved modal consistency across workspace, pane, tab, file-tree, and settings confirmations without removing the new component's click-outside cancellation behavior.
1.3.0 24 d’agost del 2026 — 64 bits EXE (Inno Setup)
Notes de la versió
Added
- Added paged title-bar tabs and pane headers — Overflowing top tabs expose previous/next controls with edge auto-scroll; split panes receive draggable headers and can be detached back into tabs.
- Added per-tab broadcast input — Text and control keys can be sent to every pane in the active tab, with input re-encoded for each pane's terminal mode.
- Added a semantic completion popup — History, commands, directories, Rust, TOML, Markdown, and other files use distinct vector icons, source tags, and colors. The popup flips above the cursor near the bottom edge and shares one pixel geometry for painting, clicking, hovering, and scrolling.
Fixed
- Fixed finished AI commands remaining stuck in the running state — Process-tree evidence now disproves stale shell state after Codex or Claude returns to an idle prompt. Addresses #42 and #54.
- Fixed GPUI windows showing the default white placeholder in taskbar previews and Alt+Tab by setting both native Windows icon sizes. Addresses #51.
- Fixed the SSH host editor collapsing its form body to zero height. The modal now has a measured responsive viewport, and the icon picker restores a bounded scrollbar without leaving empty space for short filtered lists.
- Fixed native backdrop transparency drifting out of sync with wallpaper, terminal opacity, update dialogs, and the Windows material state.
- Fixed settings selectors and font profiles failing to refresh after changes, including imported/private font installation and the SSH/sidebar/top-tab consumers.
- Fixed WSL launches overriding the guest account's default shell, and corrected file-tree mapping between guest and UNC paths.
- Fixed AI completion notifications accumulating indefinitely; they now dismiss after 90 seconds.
Improved
- Improved the product shell by moving it to GPUI v1.16.1 while retaining Nebula's resize, split-tree, mathematical layout, and PTY ownership contracts.
- Improved Settings with a consistent two-column layout, fixed control alignment, clearer descriptions, non-default markers, a copyable About view, and dedicated font and keymap pages.
- Improved component consistency by synchronizing Nebula theme tokens across buttons, sliders, switches, window chrome, transparency, and drag-time fast paths.
- Improved native Windows backdrop and split-pane integration by removing the parallel legacy backdrop path.
1.2.0 21 d’agost del 2026 — 64 bits EXE (Inno Setup)
Notes de la versió
Added
- Added horizontal title-bar tabs — Top mode supports selection, drag reordering, docking, splitting, and horizontal auto-scroll. Settings now lives in the three-dot menu, and the first tab aligns with the terminal/powerline edge; sidebar mode is unchanged.
- Added nebula ctl orchestrate and expanded Runtime control — Typed workflows, named agents, process/control-key commands, real exit status, and pane lifecycle events are now available.
- Added transactional managed-agent worktrees — Agent forks retain stable branch/path identity and only roll back resources after a confirmed failure. The Runtime schema, API documentation, and nebula-runtime Skill ship in both packages.
- Added SVN repository status and workflow support to the GPUI shell.
- Added SSH failure retry — Retry appears immediately left of Close only after failure and replaces only the failed pane in both shells.
Fixed
- Fixed second launches disappearing while Nebula was already running — The resident instance now creates and focuses the requested tab/window. Addresses #39.
- Fixed unmodified letters and Space bypassing the Windows text-input path, so Sogou and other IMEs can confirm composition. Addresses #43.
- Fixed WSL forcing Bash instead of honoring the guest account's default shell. Addresses #44.
- Fixed Ctrl+C Copy consuming the key without a selection and repeatedly copying stale selections. Addresses #48.
- Fixed legacy user@host:port SSH destinations failing the Windows ssh -G probe with error 11001; only the probe target is normalized to ssh://user@host:port.
- Fixed Codex Shift+Enter being treated as ordinary Enter by preserving the Win32 input record through ConPTY.
- Fixed terminal output stopping mid-frame until another key or resize event; pending PTY data now re-arms its read wakeup.
- Fixed runtime blur toggling, opacity-slider stalls, and windows remaining hidden after tray support was disabled.
- Fixed WSL cold-start/timeout failures appearing as empty folders, and restored Files-panel following across local, WSL, and SSH panes.
- Fixed PowerShell OSC/completion injection before the first prompt, regenerated shell completions, and synchronized installer and embedded EXE version metadata.
Improved
- Improved completion routing — Each local, WSL, or SSH pane now queries its own filesystem.
- Improved WSL file-tree refresh — Multiple roots use one guest find, with a realistic cold-start timeout and event-driven refreshes.
- Improved drag selection — The viewport now keeps scrolling when the pointer moves past the terminal's top or bottom edge.
- Improved Runtime transport/discovery and GPUI pane/window ownership.
- Improved mixed-DPI dragging, GPUI split-pane chrome, and title-bar integration.
- Improved shell-family injection for PowerShell, cmd, Nushell, and fallback shells; the injected fmt action was removed.

0.9.0 3 d’agost del 2026 — 64 bits EXE (Inno Setup)
Notes de la versió
Added
- Added background blur behind the window (Settings → Appearance). The opacity slider now controls the tint over the blur.

- Added registered WSL distributions to the top of the "Browse folder" dialog. (#12)
- Added a shared text-field component, so the caret, selection, click-to-place and shortcuts work the same in every input.
Fixed

- Fixed the crashed session being overwritten after three failed launches — it is now kept as session.crashed.json.
- Fixed blurry text and icons in the SSH host editor.
- Fixed the icon picker showing the form's text through its panel.
- Fixed test-connection failures being truncated to one line; the whole reason is shown.
