Ghostex 10.35.0 is out. A new Changes view reviews a project's diff with line comments for the agent, revert and a commit bar, the Code Editor view is now called VS Code, Handoff to Remote moves a session to another computer's project, and the Session details panel, Files compare and remote starts get a round of fixes.
🔍 Changes view
- A Changes view shows a project's diff against main or its uncommitted changes, in Unified or Split, with word-level highlights and Files-sized text, and it works for projects on remote computers too.
- Comment on any line and the comment joins the chat box as a pill, one pill per comment, and the agent gets the file, the lines and your comment when you send. The chat shows the same pills, and the lines stay marked Sent until they change.
- Revert a whole file or a single hunk, and mark files viewed as you go; a file's buttons show on hover and the file count opens a jump-to-file menu.
- A commit bar with an agent picker commits what you picked: Commit, Commit & Push, Commit, Push & Create PR, Multiple Commits or Merge into main, and leaving the message empty lets the agent write it. Only agents that run on your computer are offered.
- It replaces the old commit review window, so every place that opened that window now opens Changes on the matching scope.
- It is on by default, right after Files in the view picker, the + menu and the Store.
- Settings > General > File opening > Open file changes in picks Changes view or VS Code for Review all and the Session details Changes card.
- The phone gets a read-only Changes screen with the same diff, from a session's ⋯ menu or a long-press on its row.
💻 VS Code view
- The Code Editor view is now called VS Code everywhere, with the VS Code icon, and the outside editor in File opening menus is called VS Code app.
🤝 Handoff
- Handoff to Remote hands a session to another computer's project: pick the computer and project (the one with the same repository is preselected), clone the repository there if it is missing, and see a note when the branches differ. The original session keeps running.
- Picking another agent's model hands off to exactly that agent and model, and Handoff says why when no agent of that kind is set up.
- The chat's … menu works on remote sessions: Handoff/Export, Fork, Full Reload, Rename, Close After Done and Note.
🧩 Session details panel
- Clicking a skill opens that skill, in Agents Hub for your own skills and as its SKILL.md for a project or plugin skill.
- The details button stays on the last chat you focused, even while you work in the sidebar, Files, the Commands panel or another view.
- The docked panel slides in and out like the side panel, without the chat re-wrapping mid-slide.
📂 Files
- When a file changes on disk while you edit it, Compare shows the difference right inside Files, with Back to editing, Keep mine and Take theirs.
🤖 Agents
- A custom agent whose command is a built-in agent, such as omp, starts on a remote computer as that agent, and one that matches no built-in agent says how to fix it.
- Antigravity chats no longer show agy's system messages, each turn closes after agy's last reply, and agy 1.4.7's file edits, timers and task checks show as proper tool rows.
- A finished background command shows as a tool call inside its turn for every agent, instead of a separate card.
🌐 Startup and remote computers
- Ghostex no longer shows a false startup report when another start of gxserver got there first.
- macOS: when a remote computer starts gxserver over SSH, it keeps Keychain access, so connectors stay signed in.
🩹 Fixes and polish
- Floating controls are solid, so text behind them no longer shows through: the chat's command bar, the picture viewer's buttons in the chat and Files, and the composer's thumbnail remove button.
- Tooltips across the app go away when their click opens a window instead of staying up over it.
- Windows: clicking a file link in a WSL session's chat opens the file instead of saying the project folder is unavailable, thanks to @omegafrog.
Windows beta packages are not Authenticode-signed and may show a SmartScreen warning.
