Notes de la versió
Executive Summary
Version 12.12.1 is a bugfix update correcting two issues. (1) When the require starting atom option is disabled, and the document zoom is increased, and adding a bond is clicked just outside the hover zone of a highlighted atom, the program will no longer freeze. (2) The ChemDoodleOLE.exe file on Windows is now signed to avoid issues with Windows Defender (ASR).
Version 12.12.0 is a massive update for ChemDoodle 2D. Our main focus is expanded support for inorganic compounds and complexes, including haptic bonds and multi-center attachments, their use in formula and mass calculations, and perspective ring templates. We are committed to continuing to build new capabilities for inorganic chemistry. Additional highlights include expanded SMARTS support, automatic lone pair placement, a new pKa estimator, and numerous improvements to drawing, tables, rendering and file exchange.
Additions
1. Improved support for inorganic compounds and coordination complexes, including ionic and covalent representations of haptic bonding. A dedicated chapter explains bond representations, multi-center attachments, chemical models and worked examples. Please see chapter 5 of the user guide for more information.
2. Added support for reading and writing multi-center attachments in MDL V3000 files, ChemDraw CDX/CDXML, Marvin MRV and iChemLabs ChemDoodle Documents.
3. Added a pKa estimator using the SMARTS pKa method. Please see section 14.9.3 of the user guide for more information.
4. Expanded SMARTS matching to support disjoint patterns, component-level grouping, reaction SMARTS and reaction atom mappings.
5. Added the SMARTS atomic primitives ', |, #X, #N, #G, #M, i, d, k, Z and z, along with the $ bond primitive for quadruple bonds. These primitives were chosen based on extensions and usage in other toolkits. Please see section 12.2.7.1 of the user guide for the definitions of these extensions.
6. SMILES output now writes $ for quadruple bonds, complementing the existing input support and preserving these bonds during round trips.
7. Chemical labels now recognize # for triple bonds and $ for quadruple bonds between label components. Periods, spaces and bullet characters are also supported as fragment separators. Improved interpretation of charges. Please see section 14.4 of the user guide for syntax examples.
8. A new Place Lone Pairs function automatically calculates and adjusts the number of lone pairs on selected atoms. Formal charge assignment has also been made more consistent, and both functions are now grouped in the Structure>Atom Properties submenu. Please see section 14.3 of the user guide for instructions.
9. Holding down the space key while drawing bonds, chains, rings and templates now temporarily disables atom auto-connect.
10. Selected content can now be placed into a table cell by dragging it with a selection tool and releasing the mouse over the desired cell. Please see section 10.10.3.1 of the user guide for instructions.
11. Styles can now be applied to an entire row or column of table cells at once, making it easier to define different borders and other styles for header rows. Hover over the row or column anchor, right-click and select Format Table Row/Column... to edit its cell styles. Please see section 10.10.3.5 of the user guide for more information.
12. The Prismane Builder tool now creates polyprismanes. Drag horizontally to adjust the width and vertically to adjust the number of levels. Please see section 6.4.2 of the user guide for instructions.
13. Electron pusher control distances are now adjustable for finer control over arrow shapes.
14. Added an Undetermined rendering option to the Nucleophile Hint style for electron pushers, available under Styles>Shapes>Pushers.
15. Added perspective ring templates for Cp-, benzene, Ind-, Flu- and tropylium, along with new metallocene templates. Added a Diamondoids template set.
16. The Settings and Styles windows are now resizable.

Fixes
1. Corrected an issue where stoichiometry table calculations did not account for repeat units.
2. Improved bond overlap clearing when a bond passes close to or through an atom between other bonds, and when a bold or wedge bond is drawn on top.

Executive Summary
Version 12.11.0 is a feature update for ChemDoodle 2D. Major features include a function to generate text descriptions of your figures, a fully native file chooser, improved MRV file support, a new recent colors color chooser pane and more!
Additions
1. Generate text descriptions of selected content (also known a "alt" text). The algorithm attempts to create an accurate, thorough, instantaneous, consistent, canonical text description of chemical figures based on IUPAC naming rules. No LLM or AI use. Individual molecules, multiple molecules, and reactions are supported. Please see section 13.18 of the user guide for more information.
2. A brand new, custom, native file chooser has been built and included for Windows, macOS and Linux which will enable you to use all of the features of the system file chooser in ChemDoodle. Issues regarding accessibility tools on macOS do not affect this new file chooser.
3. Added a new style to render implicit hydrogens in the defined hydrogen element color (including subscript), as opposed to the color of the heteroatom it is attached to.
4. Added a Content>Highlight menu item so you may add an accelerator to it.
5. Improved MRV file support including: input of abbreviations from Sgroups, removing markup from text, bond forming MEflows are supported, multiline text is correctly rendered, added an option to input lone pair attributes, and support for R group numbers.
6. SVGs are now added to the system clipboard when you copy in ChemDoodle. You may disallow SVG in the Settings window under the Clipboard tab.
7. A new interface has been added to the color choosers to pick from the most recent colors chosen.
8. Font sizes 1-5 have been added to the main toolbar dropdown.
9. OPSIN has been updated to v2.9.
Fixes
1. Improved look of cursors on higher DPI screens on Windows.
2. The stoichiometry table has been reworked by renaming the Equivalents row to Coefficients and adding in a new Equivalents row under a better definition. Coefficients are now automatically filled in as explicit values that may be changed at any time.
3. Stopped stoichiometry table edit from beeping on valid use of escape or enter keys.
4. When editing stoichiometry tables, the escape key now cancels the change instead of committing.
5. Fixed bug where a stoichiometry table would corrupt if the drawn reaction used to create it was deleted before the first entry in the table.
6. Changed the rounding system when outputting numbers to text to nearest round from banker's round.
7. Fixed the bad rendering of pusher in a certain edge case.
8. Fixed bug where newly drawn charges do not respond to the style sheet with regards to the display color: attributes are the color defined, charges and symbols are black if the default attribute gray is defined, otherwise charges and symbols are assigned the defined attributes color.
9. Corrected issue where editing a text field or atom label doesn't reset undo/redo buttons on main toolbar when the text field is closed.
10. Fixed one case of poor attribute placement locations (in between two single bonds, pick smaller angle; we now only do this if the label isn't visible).
11. Fixed issue where inserting a symbol via the Symbol widget drops label formatting.
12. Restoring default settings now also correctly sets up the file choosers (a restart is no longer required).
13. Avoided redundant duplicate file notification if the file chooser is native and already asks to override.
14. Ambiguous stereo wedges in MDL files are now input as wavy wedge bonds, matching BioVia Draw.
15. Resolved issue opening ChemDraw files containing bitmap images.
16. The keybinding for the rectangular marquee tool is now properly stored through application restarts.
17. Improvements to quick color button functionality, only remembering colors when committed and not cancelled.
18. Fixed issue where Templates widget atoms were not reset for implicit hydrogens and showing terminal carbon labels after placing
