Notes de la versió
Hello, everyone!
We're here with a new Bazecor update that adds more quality-of-life features for the new Layer Lens, as well as improved support for English US and Spanish symbols.
Layer Lens is now available for the Defy, Raise 2 and Sonsei. To use it, please update your firmware to the latest available version and activate Layer Lens following the instructions in the Settings menu.
Screenshot 2026-10-15 at 12 51 45
Updates to Layer Lens
- Added opacity controls to the tray app
- Added a timer slider for "Highlight Layer Change"
- Improved the legibility of the legends with lighter colors
- Fixed a bug where the keyboard could be shown twice on the Home Screen
- Fixed a bug where the tray app would prevent macOS from shutting down
- We added a Beta tag for Layer Lens in Settings, as we still need to fix some bugs and add support for more languages
Other changes included
- Removed the "True Sleep" option for the Dygma Sonsei, as it had no benefit over the standard battery management (it does on the Raise 2 and Defy)
- Added Flatpak support thanks to @mean-ui-thread and further refactoring thanks to @lbrooks
- Fixed a bug where the firmware menu indicated that there was a firmware update for the Sonsei, when there wasn't
Let us know what you think!

Notes de la versió
Hi, everyone!
Today, we have a very exciting release, because we're introducing Layer Lens, a feature that lets you activate an overlay of your current layer on your computer screen.
You can resize it, adjust its transparency, show or hide it with the new Layer Lens keys, and even make it appear only when you change layers.
Screenshot_2026-08-05_at_18 43 58
This first version of Dygma Lens is only available for the Dygma Sonsei and for English US layouts (you need to update the firmware to v1.1.0), but we're working on porting it to the Defy and the Raise 2, as well as more languages.
Once you have installed Bazecor and updated the firmware, you can activate it and adjust your preferences in Settings > Layer Lens.
Please carefully read the instructions you'll find there.
Let us know what you think!
What's new from v1.9.2
- Fixed a bug where the Superkey limit warning was shown at 50, when the limit is 70
- Removed outdated videos from the Macros and Superkeys menu
- Merged PRs to improve tests
- Changed the Settings page title from Preferences to Settings

1.9.0 19 de juny del 2026 — 64 bits EXE
Notes de la versió
Hi, Dygmates
While we work on new firmware updates, we thought we'd give Bazecor some well-deserved love.
For this release, we've focused on improving the Preferences section, which is now renamed "Settings" to better align with the names used by most operating systems and apps.
The key takeaways are:
- We moved the option to change the default layer to Typing & Keys, which we've renamed to Keys and Layers.
- Removed redundant text in the Keys and Layers configuration options.
- We removed the Advanced submenu item, as it only contained the option to change the default layer.
- We added the option to restore the default backup for your keyboard in the Backups section.
- We fixed a bug where "Highlight Layer change" was reset when updating the firmware.
- We improved the virtual keyboards, as they didn't match the current default backups.
- We added a filter so you can't accidentally restore a Raise 2 backup into a Defy, and vice versa. You can still restore backups between the OG Raise and the Raise 2.
- We removed the Neuron manager, as the information provided was confusing to most users.
- There are also bigger under-the-hood improvements on how Bazecor handles different keyboards to prepare it for future developments.
We hope you like this update!

Notes de la versió
Hi, Dygmates
This is a quick update to improve the new pop-up to restore your layers after a firmware update.
We've added a way to exit the pop-up if you encounter any issues restoring your backup. That way, you can reconnect your keyboard and restore the backup manually in preferences.

Notes de la versió
Hi, Dygmates
Today, we have a new Bazecor version. Compared to Bazecor 1.7, it brings two substantial updates:
1. We've added a prompt after the firmware update to restore your layers.
Your configuration will never be lost after a firmware update.
Screenshot 2025-11-17 at 18 24 22
2. We've added support for the new Superkeys.
Screenshot 2025-10-21 at 17 34 36 Screenshot 2025-11-19 at 11 29 56
- Now you configure all your multi-function keys in the Superkeys menu and then add them to your layout.
- If you have "Add a key on Tap" in your layout, don't worry; you don't need to do anything. Bazecor will still recognize them. It's just for new ones.
- There's a new Superkey Memory Usage indicator. You can add up to 70.
- You'll also notice the new naming in Preferences > Typing and Keys, where you can adjust the timings for the Superkeys.
Screenshot 2025-11-27 at 12 47 59
This second update only applies if you update your keyboard to the new Defy v2.2 and Raise 2 v1.4 beta firmware. If not, you'll still be able to configure "Add a Key on Tap" as before in the "Layers and Modifiers" submenu of the Layout Editor.
However, you'll miss out on the new, improved Superkeys. You can now configure a key on TAP with a modifier (say, CTRL+C) and a key on HOLD with extra modifiers (say, SHIFT+CTRL), and they will behave like Add a Key on tap, with all the natural chording timeouts that allow you to use them as homerow modifiers without accidentally triggering keypresses.
Screenshot 2025-10-21 at 17 33 29
If you configure additional functions (TAP&HOLD, 2-TAP, or 2-TAP&HOLD), the Superkeys will behave like Standard Superkeys, which are not as fast (and therefore not suitable for use in Alpha keys), but we have also reworked them to eliminate all the bugs.
Here are all the details of the new firmware as well as instructions on how to update your keyboard:
- Dygma Defy v2.2 beta 12
- Dygma Raise 2 v1.4 beta 12
Finally, we've merged the Advanced Layers and Advanced Modifiers submenus in the layout editor for simplicity.
Screenshot 2025-11-19 at 11 35 42
What's new from 1.7
- Added a prompt after the firmware update menu to restore your layers.
- Added support for the new Superkeys. If you have the Defy v2.2 or Raise 2 v1.4 firmware, all dual-function keys are configured in the Superkeys menu. This includes an updated Superkeys menu and updated settings in Preferences > Typing and Key.
- Added a button to access the Superkeys menu from the layout editor.
- Added a button to access the Macro Editor from the layout editor.
- Merged the Advanced Layers and Advanced Modifiers submenus in the layout editor for simplicity.
- Added a Superkey Memory Usage indicator to the Superkeys menu
- Modified the instructions in the firmware update menu to indicate that you need to us the short Dygma cables for flashing the firmware.
What's Changed
- Superkeys 2.0 by @gonza2206 in #1065
- Superkeys Limit & Firmware Update Dialog Improvements by @gonza2206 in #1070
- feat: unify superkeys and qukeys hold timeout settings for sk20 keybo… by @gonza2206 in #1076

Notes de la versió
Hi, Dygmates
Today, we have a new Bazecor version with a nifty little feature: you can now manually export backups in preferences.
This is really helpful if you want to save and name a specific configuration. This can be useful before making big changes to your layout or if you want to have a layout for Mac and another for Windows that you can easily load.
Screenshot 2025-03-27 at 15 08 56
Remember, Bazecor does an automatic backup of your configuration every time you save changes to the keyboard. This makes it easier to save one in particular 😊
What's New
- Added a button to export the current backup
- Renamed the restore backup buttons to make them easier to understand
- Fixed a bug where long macros would overflow in the preview window of the layout editor
- Added a better explanation for "Add key on tap" in Advanced Modifiers
- Removed the mouse movement options on Macros, as it was never supported by the firmware 😅
- Removed the option to add Layer Shift on TAP in a Superkey, as it doesn't make sense
What's Changed
- fix: layer shift on TAP actions no longer possible by @alexpargon in #1023
- fix: added text to better clarify adv. functions by @alexpargon in #1024
- fix: wrap text around macro keypicker pre-visualization by @alexpargon in #1025
- fix: mouse movements removed from macros actions due to incompatibili… by @alexpargon in #1026
- feat: add Backup export button to preferences by @alexpargon in #1027

Notes de la versió
Hello, Dygmates
Today, we have a small Bazecor release with updated dependencies and, most importantly, the ability to flash the new Defy 2.0 and Raise 2 1.2 firmware.
Before updating the firmware, remember:
- The new firmware updates the neuron, the keyscanners, and the RF Gateways. If the keyboard stays dark after the process is finished, don’t turn it on and off; let it be for 20-30 seconds.
- Your layers might not be restored after the update. To recover them, go to Preferences > Backups > Restore from last Backup
- If the process is stuck for more than 2 or 3 minutes, you can close Bazecor, reconnect the keyboard and start again
- Updating the firmware will reset your Bluetooth connections; you'll need to forget the keyboard in your System's preferences and pair it again.
If anything goes wrong, you can manually flash the firmware with the flasher tools as explained here: https://support.dygma.com/hc/en-us/articles/15272957832477-How-to-charge-my-Dygma-keyboard-power-consumption-information
What's Changed
- Upgrade dependencies and unlock flashing 2.0fw by @alexpargon in #1011

Notes de la versió
Hello Dygmates!
We have the new Bazecor version 1.3.10! 🎉 It has numerous improvements that make it more user-friendly and easy to use.
We also have new firmware version 1.2.6 (beta), but this firmware update only applies to wireless Dygma Defy keyboards.
IMPORTANT: In case your layers do not get restored after updating the firmware, you can easily restore a backup from the preferences menu. What's changed from 1.3.9:
- We've improved the color editor. We removed the option to add or remove colors from the color palette. Now, the 16 color options are fixed and visible upon opening Bazecor.
- We've made many improvements to the Macros feature. The Macro recording now works with all languages that are configured in Bazecor. We removed the mouse movements in the Macro editor as they were not working properly yet. We also fixed the macros memory error that occurred when no memory was available.
- Superkeys are more super than ever! We made some changes to the capabilities of the Superkey editor. Now modifiers such as CTRL, SHIFT, ALT, etc, are now available for the Superkey TAP action.
- For the Wireless feature, we've refined the Battery indicators and texts to make them easier to understand.
- We made improvements to the Layout Editor. The tooltip description for the Battery Level key has been updated. The Media key icons are now consistent in both Standard and Single View.
- We fixed an annoying bug that occurred when switching from the Color Selection view to the Key Layout view when the Neuron was selected.
- We've added the Polish layout language on Bazecor. Now you can select among 17 keyboard layout languages.
- Thanks to our awesome Dygmate @jreklund, we now have a new Keyboard Language tool for Bazecor. For the Devs who want to create new languages, it's now easier than ever to do so! 👏🏻
- We've also made several refactors and updates that you can find below in the Changelog.
What's new with the Defy firmware 1.2.6 (beta):
Update to Bazecor 1.3.10 to get all the new features✨IMPORTANT: The fix in this version only applies to wireless Defy keyboards. If you have a wired Defy, you do not need to update to this firmware. Make sure to toggle the Show Beta firmware in the Advanced settings to see version 1.2.6 (beta).- We fixed a bug where the battery reading was inaccurate and would freeze on Bazecor.
- Battery levels are now reported in numbers: 100, 85, 70, 60, 50, 40, 30, 20, 15, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1.
- We fixed the Bluetooth connection of the right half of the keyboard and made it more reliable so it will pair instantly with the left half.
If you want to check all the new features that came with 1.2.5-beta, check this other release: LINKKnown bugs and issues:
- Some users have reported that the keyboard can discharge at night if connected to a turned-off computer
- Some user have reported that the battery doesn't charge when connected to their computer
- If you have superkeys in the number row, BT pairing doesn't work
- Overlap threshold preferences don't seem to affect Superkey's behavior
- Layer Shift on Hold is only available in the single view editor of the Superkeys
- Layer Shift on Hold for Superkeys always takes you back to Layer 1
- Various bugs when holding multiple superkeys at the same time
- The flashing procedure is flaky. It gets stuck or doesn't restore your layers
- Wake from sleep doesn't always wake up both sides. You need to turn them off and on again.
- Layer shift might get stuck if you hold a shift to layer multiple consecutive times
- The keyboard can accidentally switch to BT mode over RF if you perform multiple layer switches consecutively
- Bluetooth connections reset when you flash a new firmware
- Various inconsistencies in how macros behave
- If you add more than 64 macros in the Defy, everything seems to break
- LED Effects reset to your custom LED after a battery reading
- There's no way to edit delays in the macro editor
- The wireless LED settings are hidden and difficult to find
- Disconn
1.3.4 10 d’octubre del 2023 — 64 bits EXE (NSIS)
Notes de la versió
What's new
- The Defy can now connect to up to 5 different devices via Bluetooth (BT). We have designed a new UI on the keyboard that will show you the 5 devices, tell you which are paired, let you swap between them, and even unpair them.
- Note: when flashing the new firmware, your BT devices will be reset, so you'll need to reconnect them.
- This pairing UI is activated automatically when you insert the neuron in the back of the Defy, but you can also activate it with the new pairing button.
- Improved battery reading and battery status.
- Added new advanced wireless settings. You can now select a different brightness for wireless as well as other battery management options.
- Fixed a bug where the brightness preferences would reset after making changes to your layout
- Updated flashing procedure with new instructions and a new user interface that guides you through the process.
We also fixed a bug where the firmware update process would not start if your top-left key was not ESC.
- New English UK independent layout.
Before, you would get English US or UK depending on whether your keyboard was ISO or ANSI, which doesn't work for the Defy 😅
- Improved the keyboard selection screen while multiple keyboards are connected.
- Fixed a bug where applying colors to the underglow would leave a segment out.
- Fixed a bug where F13 and over would not work.
- Fixed various UI bugs when resizing the screen.
- Now, we have a Mac ARM native version.
- We redesigned how the firmware repository works.
Now, you will only be able to flash the firmware versions that are compatible with your current Bazecor.
