Notes de la versió
New Features
- Added Arq Premium storage dashboard with usage bar, backup set table, and recommendations.
- Show Arq Premium stored size in the main window.
- Added a new activity errors view on the activity detail panel, with per-run error capture, a severity column, and buttons to exclude or reveal the item in Explorer.
- Per-file backup errors are now classified by severity and summarized as a red/orange/green status on the activity list and backup-record views. The Activity detail view shows an error table with "Exclude" and "Reveal in Finder" actions.
- Added support for reading the latest macOS backup format (tree version 4), including Finder "Date Added", APFS document IDs, and sparse-file metadata.
- Added a "Download Last Included Version..." flow that appears when a license's update period has expired or the user tries to activate a too-old license, so the user can roll back to the most recent build covered by their license without having to hunt for an installer.
Improvements
- Back up unrecognized reparse points (Microsoft Store APPEXECLINK, WSL AF_UNIX/LX_*, ProjFS, etc.) by capturing their raw reparse data instead of failing with "Unexpected reparse-point type".
- Arq now detects when an Arq Premium computer has been removed from the subscription and offers to re-add it.
- Show the plan-created date in the active backup plan detail pane.
- Loaded the activities list on a background thread during startup to improve launch responsiveness.
- Moved OAuth storage location checks to a background thread.
- Log total stored size before and after cleanup in the activity log.
- Upload Arq Premium stats after a "Remove Unreferenced Objects" cleanup so the storage dashboard reflects the new size right away.
- Added support for TLS email servers as well as STARTTLS, and replaced the STARTTLS checkbox on the Report tab with a None/STARTTLS/TLS combo box.
- Upgraded MailKit from 4.7.0 to 4.16.0 to pick up a security fix.
- Verify pCloud uploads by checking the file size in the upload-file response metadata.
- Switched Windows AES-CBC encryption to use Windows CAPI (AesCryptoServiceProvider), enabling AES-NI hardware acceleration on Intel/AMD CPUs.
- Refresh the Arq Premium sidebar badge on activity updates and when the storage location node is expanded, so stored size stays current during long backups and after deletes.
- Fixed an issue which could lead to long-term memory growth in ArqAgent.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed "HMAC of agent response doesn't match expected" errors caused by a date-format mismatch between the agent and the UI.
- Prevented adding a network volume with a path that matches an existing network volume (duplicate UNC path).
- GCS (Google Cloud Storage) backups with the "immutable" option no longer report an error when deleting in-progress backup records that are subject to the bucket's retention policy. Cleanup of unreferenced pack files and unpacked blobs no longer surfaces GCS retention-policy errors either.
- Refuse to restore Microsoft Store APPEXECLINK reparse points up-front with a clear "reinstall the Store app" message instead of failing later with ERROR_INVALID_FUNCTION.
- The "Computer removed from subscription" dialog no longer pops up twice for the same backup run.
- Hide the Enter License Code button for Arq Premium trial users, and right-align the Buy Now button in the trial footer when the Enter License Code button is hidden.
- Show stored size of 0 (instead of nothing) when an Arq Premium backup plan has not yet reported to the server.https://arqbackup.com/download/arqbackup/arq7windows_release_notes.html
