Vrystellingsnotas

[1.109.2] - 2026-09-17
A tab promised to turn off ads and could not, and the tab that catches sneaky installs was filed away
from the one that removes them. "Debloater & Ads" only ever removed preinstalled Store apps — it has no ad
controls at all, and the five switches that do turn ads and suggestions off are in Privacy & Telemetry. So
anyone who came to it for that reason found a list of apps and left none the wiser. It is called
Preinstalled Apps now, it says where the ad switches actually are, and searching "ads" finally leads to
them. Separately, New App Alerts moved to the Apps group, directly above Uninstaller: it tells you when
something installed itself, and the next thing you want is to get rid of it.
Changed
- "Debloater & Ads" is now "Preinstalled Apps." The old name promised a capability the tab never had.
The page now ends with a line pointing at Privacy & Telemetry for ads and suggestions, and "debloat" still
finds the tab from the sidebar search for anyone who knows the old word.
- Searching "ads" now finds Privacy & Telemetry. It did not before — the word was only attached to the
tab that cannot change anything about ads, which is the whole reason the name misled.
- New App Alerts sits in Apps, above Uninstaller, instead of under Monitor. Detection and its remedy are
now one click apart. "App Alerts" under Monitor also read as "notifications from apps", which is a
different tab entirely (Notification Blocker).
- Apps' sidebar subtitle reads "Install, update, remove and catch new installs" to match its four tabs.
Fixed
- The README's group table was missing Large Files and would have kept listing New App Alerts under
Monitor. That table is the first complete picture of the app a reader gets, and nothing checked it against
the sidebar until now.
Verify the download
Get-FileHash .\SysManager-v1.109.2.exe -Algorithm SHA256
Expected SHA256: F9978F4C3A1F897A14B1EB8A3582DD610B00201001E9CE86E5E27AC3848A94D6
This build is not code-signed, so Windows will warn on first launch. That is
expected for a small independent app: see what the warning says and what to
click.
Code signing is planned through the SignPath Foundation,
which provides free certificates to open-source projects, with signing performed by
SignPath.io. Until then, the SHA256 above and the build
attestation below are what establish that a download is the genuine build.
Code signing policy
This release is not code-signed. The team roles, release-approval process and
privacy policy required by the SignPath Foundation programme
are documented in advance under Code signing
policy. That
documentation is a prerequisite for applying, not evidence of a certificate. The
attribution line naming SignPath as the signing provider will appear here once a
certificate is actually issued.
This program will not transfer any information to other networked systems unless
specifically requested by the user or the person installing or operating it. Full
privacy policy.
Verify where this binary came from
This exe was built by GitHub Actions from this public source, and the build is
recorded in the Sigstore public transparency log. With the
GitHub CLI:
gh attestation verify .\SysManager-v1.109.2.exe --repo laurentiu021/SystemManager
That proves which commit and workflow produced this exact binary, something the
SHA256 file cannot show, since it is published alongside the exe it describes.
Each release also ships SysManager-v1.109.2.sbom.json, a CycloneDX inventory of
every dependency resolved for this build.
